2 days ago, 5/28/2021, Michael Hollan of Fox News listed this restaurant as Number one (#1) in the United States because "this place is famous for grounding certified Angus Beef onsite". Based on this restaurant review Ordered their $10 hamburger and so I could minimize the cost of deliver ($3) i asked for a 2nd Patty fo $9 more. Here are my thoughts: An amazing extra patty, limpy fries, and a "too firm" bun, shake. Ok The burger "fixixs" hid the taste of the meat The second patty restored the great taste. Best in the Nation? Since they closed the location on FM 1960 & 249 this has become the closest for my family. Every year I go here for my birthday and sometimes Mother's Day because the Rib Eye Sandwich is my favorite. I'm easy to please...unless you're my husband Anyway, this trip stayed in line with previous visits. I had...you guessed it...the steak sandwich well done with grilled onions and swiss cheese, the DH had the same but with american cheese and teen son had the cheeseburger. The food was good, cooked right and fresh. The service was great and the wait time was reasonable. Our only issue was the fruit flies coming from the trash can near the door. I think if they had changed it more often then it would not have been so bad. We ate inside since it was late in the evening and moved tables to put distance between us and the flies. I wasn't going to let a few measley flies ruin what was getting ready to go down between me and my sandwich The best part of our experience is that my son discovered after we drove all the way home (25 mins away) that he left his airpods at Beck's. Ok, maybe that's not the best part. That's actually when we called Beck's on the way back there and they confirmed they had found them. He was so happy and so was him and his Dad. We order through the drive-through and when we got home the hamburgers were not that good at all. So being respectful of people's vacations and holidays I did not call to speak to a manager in the subsequent days. Today I came in and spoke to the manager and I explained the situation to him. One of the best parts about this restaurant is the large, beautiful porch for outdoor seating. As a student from Austin, TX, outdoor seating is a must for most restaurants as the city is highly in touch with the environment and outdoors. It's been 6 years since my first review and while some things have changed, others have stayed the same. Still a great place to enjoy an awesome burger on a beautiful day, but no longer get to walk to the nursery next to it because it's no longer there. There seem to be less squirrels running around, likely because of the nursery missing, and more just birds trying to inch their way to your table (that's not a complaint). The only negative is the cooking consistency. I order medium every time I go and lately they are either medium-well or well-done. Not sure if the cooks or managers think we don't know what we want, but the burgers lose that juiciness I mentioned in my first review if they are over cooked. Although, I've always enjoyed their food in the past, I don't know how they made that cut. The burger market in Texas has a ridiculous amount of competition. So, I figured I would check them out again, figuring they had upped their game. Nice, clean restaurant with a super friendly staff. I ordered a cheeseburger medium rare. It came out well done with a somewhat stale bun. Not completely stale, but definitely not fresh enough to serve. My date ordered a baked potato with chicken which was perfectly done. She enjoyed her meal and I, not so much. Maybe they were having a bad night. I'll probably go back and try a steak. read more

I can thank my bigger waistline to Becks Prime. Doesn't help I use to work 2 minutes away from here. The item I love to get is the loaded baked potato. You might look at it and say, "Hmm I just don't know if this will be filling enough" but once you mix the butter, sour cream, chicken, chives.. it all because a beautiful delicious mess that will fill you up. Trust me. Just the mixing part is an art form which takes experience to get it to the right consistency. Those baked potato fans will know what I'm talkin' bout. The kitchen workers that deliver the food are nice but the cashiers can use more customer service skills. That being the reason I deducted a start. I've made fresh fries at home and they always end up falling short of the fries I get at Beck's Prime. Then, there's the steak sandwich. Thin rib eye with mayo, lettuce, and tomato on a sesame seed bun. This is my favorite thing on the Beck's Prime menu. No matter how hard I try, I can't bring myself to try anything else. My husband eats the California chicken sandwich and I always give him a pitying look because I feel he is missing out. Also, much to my daughter's disappointment (and my delight) Beck's doesn't have chicken tenders on their kid's meal. Grilled chicken it is! She ate all of it but was a little disappointed there wasn't something crispy golden fried on her plate. So I'd been having a cheeseburger craving for quite some time when I finally decided to try out Becks Prime. I ordered just a plain cheeseburger with all the fixings and a side of fries. I was very surprised at how expensive just the lone burger was (around $9) and I thought well damn, this better be a good burger. Was it a damn good burger? Ehh not really. It definitely wasn't a measly McDonald's patty, which I liked, but it was very greasy and didn't have much flavor. If I'm going to pay $9 for a burger without fries, I want some pizzazz. The fries were good though, salty and fried just right. I would give the burger a 3/5 for flavor but the price was what got me. This is the only Beck's Prime location that I have been to and won't be going back again. Sometimes the service between the same franchise can be of a difference. It was around 8:00PM when my girlfriend and I had a craving for some burgers, but not just any fast food burger, I feel like I should get myself a steak burger from Beck's Prime. Steak burger is the only burger I would probably get from there. We went through the drive-thru because it was cold that night. Normally it would take 10 minutes for 2 burgers to cook when it wasn't even busy that night. But I believe we waited for 30 minutes for them to finally bring out the to-go burger to us. By the time we got home, we checked the burger and they put onions in my girlfriend's burger. I know I specially asked 'no onions' for her cheeseburger but yet it's still there. I really don't have any troubles with other Beck's Prime but this one may need a management review if they don't want this location to tarnish the brand name. read more

The lady behind the counter noticed we were a bit annoyed at the wait and came over to our table to apologize and explained that there were newbies working the kitchen. The food finally came. My brother had ordered the Mahi Mahi with grilled veggies and it definitely looked good. The portion of grilled chicken served was surprisingly small, given that I thought that everything here was usually Texas sized! Oh well, at least it was healthy.....however, I think it's a bit expensive for this portion size. Then, there's the sweet potato fries.....now, they were good!....fresh, hot, and perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and yummy on the inside.....so good that we finished the first order in no time and ordered a second.
