Mr. Quinn told us that we would have it either the same day, or the next. We didn't want our ring shipped off for multiple weeks, so this was an obvious choice. We dropped our ring off at 1pm, and we were called at 530pm that it was finished. The gentleman that completes resizes comes in Thursday's and Friday's every week. Mr. and Mrs. Quinn were very professional and courteous, and explained how different ring styles can alter the size of the ring when compared to the size of the finger. My ring was sized down from a 7.25 to a 6.5, and all scratches--including a deep gouge from my tungsten ring--were buffed out for $62. The price for just a sizing was around $45.

The resizing is perfect, and they go even between half sizes to 3/4 if needed. I needed a 6.5/6.75 sizing for my perfect fit, and it absolutely perfect! I was BLOWN AWAY by her expertise, as well as her catching 2 smaller diamonds on my band and halo missing. I had planned on "shopping around" and getting quotes, but after just 5 minutes, I knew there was no way I would find anything better. Due to the cut of my diamond, she needed to get some different sizes in and I knew this would take some time. When the first batch wasn't right, she had new ones overnighted so I wouldn't have to wait longer. The second batch was beautiful, and I even upgraded my center diamond. Off it was whisked to get fixed and when I got the call it was ready, I wasted absolutely NO TIME getting to the store to pick it up. Upon pickup, I felt like I had just gotten engaged all over again. I could not stop staring at it, and needed my husband to drive home so I could continue staring at it in the sun. It was beautiful work, and I was so pleased with the results. Traded in the original bridal set for a 'Better" ring, the center stone had a huge flaw so asked him to replace it and raise the center stone. Picked it up way later than promised and didnt even get a phone call to let us know it was ready. Later after going to Dalzell in Crystal lake found out that not only was the stone replaced with a bad one it wasnt even close to what the first ring was worth! I can tell you first hand, when it comes to this store the positive reviews are real. The one negative reviewer who in his post seems to know all the ins and outs jewelry business, like what machines are used to evaluate coins, and what the price of platinum is. Who really knows the price of platinum and palladium besides someone in the business. Gold and Silver yes, but platinum palladium? What also doesn't make a lot of sense is if you have 48K worth of coins, like he claims, wouldn't it make more sense to sell it to another collector or at a coin show to get as much as possible. This makes me very skeptical of the negative review left by Jeff S. and makes me believe the review was left by a competitor or a jackass. What I do know, is I went to 3 different stores to get coins evaluated that my father left to me recently when he passed away in October. This store was the last store of the 3 I went to and they gave me the most money for my coins of the 3 stores. In my opinion the difference was pretty significant. I was very happy and realized that the other 2 stores were basically taking advantage of me. After the deal was completed and I had been paid I asked the the owner Bert I believe his name is and his assistant Jon, why the 3 appraisals from the 3 different shops were of so drastically different for the same items. They explained to me that he could not speak for other shops but in their shop they give the best possible price on items to keep their inventory full and they do not have high margins on items they buy and sell. They keeps the doors open by doing high volume and repeat customers. Well guys you earned a new customer, I will be back for that Rolex one of these days.
