Loved our stay at this charming inn, which is walking distance to downtown Healdsburg! Daniel is a very welcoming host who made many suggestions for dinner, and even hooked me up with an ice pack for my sore knee! Our very spacious room, named Amber, was immaculate and the owners thought of everything from having plenty of towel racks, a wall mounted blow dryer, conveniently located charging outlets, toilet separate from vanity area, well placed nightlights, pool towels, comfy beds & linens (Slept like a baby!) as well as the beautiful landscape surrounding the inviting pool! Also liked all of the decor including the Hawaiian shirt prints and decorative sunflower & waterlily art tiles in our room! Also, have to mention the eggs Benedict at the Costeaux French Bakery!! So delicious!! Best breakfast!! Yum!! We will definitely come back and stay longer next time to explore the downtown shops and restaurants or just relax and hang out at the gorgeous grounds of the Bella Luna! The Bella Luna is one of the best places we've stayed at while traveling. The property itself is well kept, clean, and quiet. It's also only a five minute walk in to downtown Healdsburg, where there are plenty of eateries, tasting rooms, and shops. The cottage we stayed in was awesome. The bed was comfortable, great shower and other amenities made it a very relaxing stay. The innkeeper Daniel was very friendly and knowledgeable about the local wineries and the town. He also gave us vouchers for breakfast at Costeaux French Bakery during our stay. We will definitely stay here again during our next visit to Healdsburg or Sonoma. read more

Truly, as good as it gets for places to stay! Bella Luna is one of a kind in quality and service. The host, Daniel, is just an absolute gem. He has tons of knowledge about Healdsburg, especially the wineries and restaurants there. Plus, he didn't mind that we asked him all kinds of questions for about 30 minutes when we checked in, giving us tasting coupons and recommendations on where to go. Since we had arrived early, he allowed us to leave our belongings in the main house and had them delivered to our cottage when it was ready. Now, let's talk about this room. We stayed in the Cypress cottage, a recent addition to the inn. It was so glorious. Secluded, spacious, and beautifully appointed. I loved the cork flooring, and the towels were so soft, but also drying. Wish I had gotten the brand on those bad boys... Right outside, on our patio, we had two Adirondack chairs so we could sit and enjoy the gorgeous backyard (check out the fruit trees), that is complete with a saltwater pool (they start heating it in May, so we were just a few weekends early, as we stayed in April). Plus, there is a lantern in the closet, so one could enjoy a nice bottle of wine on that patio in the evening, too. I am an absolute sucker for a nice robe and slippers, and Bella Luna did not disappoint on that front either. The rest of the amenities were wonderful too, all the little bathroom toiletries are hidden in the mirror that opens (very creative), and there's wine glasses and an opener in the room. We were only here for a short time, but I liked that they included a fridge and desk in the room because those would have come in handy for snacks/leftovers, and working space on a longer trip. One thing that is less traditional about Bella Luna as a B&B is that breakfast isn't onsite. Instead, one receives a gift card to nearby (probably .2 or .3 mile walk at most) Costeaux cafe. I was skeptical, as I'm gluten free and can sometimes have difficulty finding a meal that works, but their brunch was AMAZING! Lots of great food options, plus fresh squeezed OJ in the mimosas. We ended up going with an omelette for me and eggs benedict for my bf. Delish! I will be writing a separate review for the cafe, but safe to say you will not be disappointed. For me, I found it nicer to start the day downtown (and have flexibility to get brunch on our timeline, instead of super early like at other B&Bs) and be able to walk to other activities around there. We lucked out on our weather (around 80-85 during the day) and ended up checking out 3 downtown wineries after our brunch. What a delightful place to stay! My husband and I came for a weekend visit to Healdsburg and we are so glad we stayed at the Bella Luna Inn. If we ever find ourselves in Healdsburg again we would stay at the Bella Luna without even considering looking elsewhere! We are on day 3 of 4 days in the Cypress Cottage and couldn't be happier! The Cottage (and main house) is clean and well taken care of, the pool and grounds are beautiful, the bed and pillows (two different types) are very comfortable, sheets are SO soft, bath towels are luxurious and so many little detailed amenities are included (espresso, coffee, large assortment of teas, snacks, fresh fruit, wine glasses and openers, dishes, pool towels, shampoo, conditioner, soaps, lotions, makeup wipes, mouth wash, sewing kit...), they've thought of everything! We are lucky to be here when their persimmon trees are in prime season, they also have several other fruit trees on property. The owner is very friendly, a pleasure to talk to and has given us so many wonderful recommendations! The two breakfast locations they give you gift cards to are fantastic and just a short walk from the Inn. We are so grateful to have stumbled upon this little place, it is truly a hidden gem!!! Outstanding! We just stayed at the Bella Luna Inn. It is a beautiful B&B. The hosts, Stephen and Daniel, could not have been nicer or more welcoming. We slept great. The bedding was luxurious. We had a large room and bathroom (the "Amber" room). There was not a speck of dust in the place. The backyard has a beautiful pool and garden. Stephen is a great cook and made us tasty breakfasts that were healthy too (somewhat!). We ate breakfast each morning by the pool and garden. All of the restaurants and shops in town are a 5-10 min walk-very close. The B&B has free parking in the back. We took a wine tour and were picked up in front of the B&B so its super convenient. Overall, highly recommended. read more

A great B&B to stay at when in the Healdsburg area. From the moment my husband and I checked in, we were made to feel extremely welcome. This is a small B&B run by two wonderful gentlemen (Daniel and Steven). There are only 3 rooms in the house. I forget the name of ours, but it was one of the junior rooms. It was spacious and extremely comfortable. We found a bottle of wine as a welcome gift in our room and there is a small fridge stocked with water, apple juice, and V8. When we returned from dinner we found fresh cookies. The location of this place is perfect. It is only a couple of blocks (I forget the number but possibly one or two) from the square where there are many wine tasting rooms and restaurants. One point I would note, although the website said we would need to go somewhere else for breakfast, like a true B&B, they made breakfast the morning we were there. Another incredible stay at the Bella Luna. Absolutely love this place. Daniel is an outstanding host. He and Stephen have created a fabulous oasis in which to relax and unwind. Every detail has been thoroughly thought out to achieve so much pleasure for our wine country stay. The Camellia Suite is so beautifully appointed with artwork, furnishings and amenities like soft cotton robes. We love to lounge out by the warm salt water pool after a few wine tastings. Daniel recommended a spa for my massage called Elements and it was divine. Our stay included breakfast at Costeaux Bakery a few blocks away. Daniel is knowledgeable about Healdsburg restaurants and we tried Charlie Palmer's Dry Creek Kitchen and our dining experience was amazing! We highly recommend Bella Luna for your Healdsburg visit. We cancelled our chain hotel reservations and made somewhat last-minute (by wine country standards) reservations at Bella Luna. What a great decision! The Cypress Cottage is perfection. Daniel's hospitality is second to none. We had a few things already on our itinerary, and he offered a few suggestions to make our trip complete. There was a cold rain every day we were there, so we didn't get to truly enjoy the pool and beautiful gardens. All the more reason to return!! read more

What a wonderful, relaxing and pleasant oasis! We didn't have plans to stay in Healdsburg but as we were eating dinner (at Bravas, which was very good) we decided to stay in town. Got on the phone and found the Bella Luna Inn, which luckily had vacancy. Daniel was very polite and made us feel right at home. When he found out it was our 33rd wedding anniversary, he left some chocolates in our room while we were sitting at the pool. Our room was immaculate and the shower room is the size of a small bedroom!! The grounds of the Inn are gorgeous and well maintained. The gift card for breakfast at Costeaux (French Bakery, which is more like a French Cafe) is very generous and their food is excellent. If we are ever in town again, we will definitely stay at the lovely Bella Luna Inn :) read more

I have stayed in many hotels and B&Bs. This really is 'as good as it gets'. My vacation with my aunts was above and beyond which is owed to Daniel and Stephen and the Bella Luna Inn. I know not everyone loves to read a long review - so if you are doing a scan....PICK THIS ONE! DO IT. CALL AND BOOK! Stop messing around on Yelp and just go. I promise you won't regret it. Alright, now for the folks who are like me. You want a little more detail because my taste and standards may *not* match yours. I get it. Let me tell you more. 1) The Room ---- It is immediately clear that they want you to feel comfortable and at home. When I travel, I often spend a lot of time outside of the hotel room. When you are with other folks, the hotel room is often a bit uncomfortable so you go elsewhere. This is absolutely not the case here! The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and welcoming. They make sure there is room for everyone to sit comfortably and spend time together. It was the exact refuge we needed after a day out in the sun. My standards have been raised!! The beds are extremely comfortable, the sheets are clean and soft, extra blankets and pillows are easy to find. Everything that we could possibly need was at our fingertips - they had planned it all out. Just as an example, we wanted to go to music in the park - they set out chairs for us and we just had to pick them up. It was all the ease of having the accessibility of being at home with the calm of a true vacation. 2) Cleanliness --- Spotless. Yes, I saw you question me. I'm serious. I dumped my bobby pins behind the dresser. You know, at home, behind my dresser is not spotless. I have room for there to be dust. THERE WAS NOT EVEN DUST. No little crumbs. No dust bunnies. No grime. My aunt, dropped something down by the sink....also no dust. We were in different rooms. 3) Amenities ---- I am in love with their salt water pool. I used it every day and some days more than once. Coffee and tea 24 hours a day. A large fridge for a hotel room. Plentiful brochures and information. Beautiful garden. Plentiful parking. Convenient access to downtown. A+ 4) Information - Now here is where the gold is. Not only are you comfortable and happy in your room, but you know that you are not going to miss anything for your few days here. Every activity that Daniel recommended we do was perfect. He has spent a lot of time cultivating relationships to ensure you have the best vacation possible. Many of our wine tastings were free. We were welcomed every where we went. We would have missed out on so many amazing experiences with out his advice. In particular, we enjoyed the tour Medlock Ames Ranch and the Bella Winery Caves were perfect. I could go on and on. I hope you have just taken away that I was impressed. I don't like to vacation to the same place twice...but for Bella Luna...I will. See you next time! read more

Their attention to detail is evident in the Art Deco pieces, beautiful furnishings, lovely garden spaces and salt water pool heated to 82 degrees. A daily gift card to Costeaux (?sp) Bakery is included in the room rate and can be used for a delicious breakfast or lunch. Healdsburg square is a short stroll away as are number of tasting rooms and restaurants. Daniel provided great recommendations for dinner- Chalkboard and got our case of wine shipped! The room was outfitted with everything from complimentary waters to an abundance of toiletries to special, conveniently placed outlets in all the rooms. It sounds minor, but seriously we've never stayed at a place with such convenient outlets. He went above and beyond when we told him we're celebrating our 30th birthday and two-year wedding anniversary, giving us cupcakes for the former and chocolates for the latter. My husband & I recently stayed at this awesome B&B. The spacious rooms are beautifully decorated and come with private, large bathrooms. There's a heated pool with a huge deck & wonderful views. The hosts, Steve & Daniel, are so gracious & welcoming. They provided an unbelievably fantastic breakfast -- all homemade: scones, parfaits, blintzes, velvety lemon curd along with plenty of coffee, orange juice, etc. It was well worth the cost as we felt so special in this magical retreat zone. We both give it our highest recommendation & look forward to returning soon. It makes the perfect get-away for the weary city-dweller as it's just a few minutes walk from the town square. My girlfriend and I stayed at the Bella Luna Inn for one night after having a bad experience at another hotel in Healdsburg the previous night. The Bella Luna Inn is a 4 bedroom B&B. I couldn't imagine better service. We had the smallest room in the place (that's all that was available) and it was great. The place was clean, bed was very comfortable, our things were secure, place was welcoming, food was amazing and we had a great time. The yard, pool and patio are relaxing when you are not in town or wine tasting. The pricing is more than fair and we can not say enough good things about this place or the management. read more

Well before Steven cooked a delicious humongous breakfast for us Sunday morning, we were in love with this Inn. We stayed 2 nights, in the downstairs suite (upgraded by surprise! But all 3 rooms are amazing) and just do not have enough great things to say about these inn-keepers and their fabulous Healdsburg Inn. From the beautiful unique grounds (even in the pouring rain, actually even more so!), the furnishings, decorations, fireplace, music piped into the rooms but able to be turned off, enormous shower with 2 shower heads, towel warmer, fridge with free drinks in it and coffee maker with fresh cream!, incredibly cozy bedding, and seriously the softest, best smelling, and most absorbent towels I have ever used, this Inn was top notch. My boyfriend and I have had such amazing luck with Inns recently that we try not to stay in hotels anymore. This is why :) Sitting on the private porch, drinking coffee, watching the rain in the warm overstuffed wicker furniture, was one of the best parts of the trip. We also always meet super cool people! My husband and I don't normally stay in B&Bs because we like more privacy but Bella Luna Inn changed my opinion in a big way! Our room was spacious, immaculately clean, tastefully decorated and extremely quiet. In fact, we thought we were the only guests in the inn but it turned out there were guests above us both nights and we didn't even know as we didn't hear a peep. We were there in early/mid March so the beautiful pool was closed but the grounds were nicely landscaped and well maintained and our host, Daniel, invited us to pick all the lemons we wanted. Daniel also had great restaurant and winery recommendations and even clued us in to the lack of corkage fee at the Healdsburg Hotel restaurant for Sonoma Co. wines. The $30 gift card each day for Costeaux's Bakery was more than adequate for fabulous breakfasts and espresso drinks. Overall, our stay was a 5-star experience and we will be back! read more

We recently stayed at the inn for our honeymoon and had an amazing time. The owners were so generous to upgrade us for free, and Daniel was tremendously helpful in planning our trip. We largely took his advice on where to go, what to eat, what to drink, and we were not disappointed. He pointed out some of the best restaurants (we broke my cardinal rule of not repeating restaurants because we had to go back to his recommendation a second time) and wineries both in town and nearby. The house and grounds are gorgeous and were the perfect place to relax. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on outside of my own - very soft sheets, comfy pillows. Healdsburg itself is amazing - there are tons of tasting rooms, lots of shops to browse, great restaurants, and scads of fabulous wineries nearby. We absolutely loved our visit and we will definitely be back the next time we're in wine country! read more
