Had an excellent stay here. Bunked in the rock & roll cottage. Largest of the cottages. Other guests in our party stayed in the pool house. Medium size cottage. Both have two beds and a separate room for the restroom. Rock & roll was tucked away in the back for a more secluded feel. Pool house is towards the front next to the Victorian house and of course the pool. Thus if people are using the pool I would assume it can get loud. Wasn't the case the weekend we came as we had the place to ourselves. Owner Rosanna is very nice and welcoming. She showed us the barn which hosts weddings and prima as well as evening dinners and around some of the other 40+ acres. Very easy going. Was a little tough to reach to coordinate the vacation, although it seems it was due to email issues that have since been resolved. Location is pretty. Lots of open space. Brought my dog with me & she had a blast. Very dog friendly location. They have 3 dogs themselves that are kept in a separate area. Dogs allowed in all cottages and in the Victorian house. Breakfast was nice and simple, filling but not stuffed when done. Cheesy scrambled eggs, fresh strawberries, toast, bacon, and country potatoes. Fresh orange juice, coffee and tea available. Nicely prepared by Olga who also cleans the rooms. Free WiFi throughout the property. Password protected. Great stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. -one thing they could use is another garbage can in the rock & roll room. Only found one in the restroom. -other guests said curtains in pool house didn't close all the way, so only gauzy shades covered the center section = reduced privacy in an already public area. read more

I had my wedding here and it was perfect. This is the best place to host a celebration.The land was beautiful, the barn was rustic, spacious and very cool. Rosana and Frank were great! They took care of everything including the set up and clean up for both ceremony and reception for 200 people. I had my ceremony on the back lawn by the pool behind the ranch's big yellow beautiful Victorian home. After the ceremony our guest had an appetizer and cocktail there while the band played and we all too photos. After we held the reception in the barn on the other side of the property. I was so nervous but Rosana guided myself and the wedding party through the entire process with ease and complete professionalism. My guests had such a great time, most came from San Francisco and absolutely loved the venue. They suggested my husband and I have a party there every year, they even said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. I can tell, as this young business grows and this place becomes more popular, the owners will need to hire more help to keep up with the work and demand of the event needs. I had got a deal for a weekend getaway to Rancho de la Fuente from a deal site and initially I was apprehensive about this place, based on the reviews. But I decided to give this place a try and made a reservation for the Renaissance room in the Victorian house, a weekend in July. As soon as we reached the property, we were happy that we had gone ahead with our plans. The property was beautiful and rustic, with the farms, the gardens and the pool. The house was tastefully decorated and you could stay in and relax if you wanted to do so. The owners were really helpful and took care of our every need. Rosana and Natalie helped us with all our questions regarding the region and went the extra mile to provide us with helpful tips on sight seeing, local eateries, wineries etc. Rosana is a great cook and the breakfast and dinner that she served us were really good and made with fresh local ingredients. The thing I liked the most was the atmosphere at the B&B. Rosana made us feel like we were a part of her family and not just paid customers. We did not feel like we were intruding on them in any way (a feeling I get in most B&Bs I stay in). She regaled us with stories about her family and the area and made us feel completely at home. All in all, it was a great trip for us; thanks mostly to Rosana, Natalie and Frank. read more

Just had our wedding here in June. We couldn't have been more happy. Everything about the property made our wedding day perfect. The Victorian house gave us numerous picture perfect opportunities. The newly built outdoor stage allowed us to have a reception with a band outside and plenty of dancing room. The barn not only gives a rustic feel but the lighting gives it that soft romantic feel .... Just beautiful. The owners Frank and Rosana are amazing! They were so helpful in the planning process. Since we are from SF they were constantly helping us with recommendations and phone numbers. Frank, Rosana and their staff helped the entire day run smoothly from setup to closing. We can't thank them enough. They went above and beyond what we expected to make sure we had a perfect wedding. We were here for the B&B and had a nice stay. Stayed in the Rock and Roll cabin which was cozy and comfortable. The manager was very nice to us. Unlike prior reviews, we met her and she brought us to our locked cabin. We were there in the 'off' season and were the only ones staying at the time. They made a wonderful breakfast for us. We were not there for an event, and no event occurred so can't comment on how those go. My only complaint is that the short walk to the cabin was over some grass that was muddy because of rain. It would have been nice to have some stone or a gravel path to walk on. Overall we found the manager friendly and the breakfast awesome. read more

We stayed at the Rancho de la Fuente in May this year, and had a very pleasant stay. We purchased LivingSocial vouchers for a 4 day stay. We stayed in the Rock 'n' Roll room which we payed a little extra for, as the vouchers were for a single room in the quaint Victorian style house. Frank and Rosanna were very warm and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Rosanna made a hearty breakfast each morning, and Frank cooked us dinner on two nights (which was included in the LivingSocial package). The Rock 'n' Roll room had a little sit out area, which looked out onto the Alfalfa fields. A lovely place to sit and read, while sipping a glass of Sauvignon Blanc! The room and attached bathroom were very clean while the room itself was quite cozy. They even stocked up on the ice everyday! Rosanna was so helpful that she printed out a map of surrounding wineries and wine tasting studios, and directed us to some of the activities available in town . Lakeport itself is a very charming place- one of several other towns surrounding the 'Lake'. We drove 2 1/2hrs north to the Humboldt Redwood Forest one day, drove down to Woodland to catch a British Car Show, kayaked, went for long walks, had some yummy Mexican food, hiked, spent time in a little second-hand bookstore (where I found a couple of books I'd been looking for, each for a few quarters!!). Above all the scenic drives around the lake were fantastic! Add to this all the wine tasting we did... A place that warrants a re-visit in the future! If a quiet, restful and relaxes holiday is what you have in mind, then this is the place to be (the drive from LA is worth it!) read more

Came here for Bed and Breakfast over the weekend and stayed at Pool house. It's a lovely little cottage. It is quite close to freeway as well as Clearview Lake. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. This property is managed by a lovely couple who are very welcoming! Wifi is slow but rest all amenities were good! read more

Got this deal on living social for $89/night, a pretty sweet deal. Was skeptical in the beginning, but it turned out to be way better than I had imagined. Rosanna was the person who took care of us during our stay. She was super pleasant and helpful at all times. When we arrived, we didn't exactly know where to go. We kind of just wandered the property until we found her. When we found her, she showed us around and then to our room, which was by the pool. She even asked us when we preferred breakfast to be served the next morning. Never stayed at a B&B before, so this was a surprise. The room was very clean, as was the pool. The only downside was that we weren't able to control the temperature in our room. The thermastat was locked and we didn't know how to contact her. When we woke up the next morning, we couldn't find her again, so we wandered our way into the kitchen and plated our own food. In the middle of fixing our food, she came in and told us that she was going to fix our food for us. Breakfast consisted of eggs, sausages, toast, strawberries, coffee, tea, and juice. She then instructed us to leave our dishes there and was pretty adamant about us not cleaning up. After breakfast, we chilled by the pool but afterwards, we were unable to locate her when we wanted to check out. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. I would give this place 4.5 stars, but yelp doesn't give me that option. I would stay there again and probably will in the near future. read more

Not sure if the other reviewer fro 2009 had a bad experience or what; i recently used a livingsocial voucher to have a getaway for labor day weekend, and it was a very pleasant experience. the B&B is very cute and cozy with really nice clean rooms that feel like home. the included dinner (to the livingsocial voucher) was really nice, the vegetables were grown on their property organically. the owners of the property were extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend the B&B to anyone who may visit the area. The only caveat I would give to the picky traveler (which I am not one), is that they effectively have one shared bathroom for all the rooms (somewhat typical for B&Bs). They have a second bathroom on the first floor, but its not really usable to get ready for the day as the bathroom opens up to the dining room where people are eating breakfast (a little awkward). Additionally, their water heater is too small for full occupancy. Even though they have it on quick heat, the water tends to get pretty lukewarm mid-morning. Again, I didn't really care too much about either of these issues. Overall, excellent stay! read more

I have nothing but wonderful things to report, and I could go on & on. We got married at Rancho de la Fuente this past September. We had approx. 160 guests and every detail was perfect. Both Frank & Rosana could not have been more amazing. I was not a controlling bride, so maybe that helps, but if you can let go of some control and let Frank and Rosana do what they do best, then you're in great hands. They're the experts, they're the ones who have done many events on their property. From weddings to family reunions to concerts, give them your business and you will not be disappointed :) The grounds were gorgeous and the staff was awesome. Wonderful property, but the horrible service and lack of professionalism make this a place to avoid at all costs. Do not book an event here! I was a B&B guest for an anniversary party held here. As far as B&B operation goes, it's very unprofessional. We were not provided with any sort of bill or booking confirmation and our card was charged in full at the time of booking. Upon arriving at the property there was no check-in-- we simply wandered around until we found our unlocked and unsecured room. No breakfast was provided. In fact, the only contact we had with the property owners was at my friend's event-- and that was extremely unpleasant. The property owner clearly had some issues with the people holding the event, but he took it out on their guests-- showing up at their semi-formal event in shorts and a t-shirt and glaring at the guests, yelling at guests, and entering guests' rooms without permission. Be forewarned-- this is not a place you want to entrust with your special event. read more
