When it was time for installation, they went above and beyond our expectations. I was fully expecting to have to pay a plumber to install the new basin, faucet, garbage disposal and reconnect to the plumbing. When I inquired about who we should call, Tami's response was, "You don't think we can handle that for you?" Some may find Tami's no-nonsense approach to sales and installation a bit abrasive. She doesn't tell you what you want to hear. Her long history in the business provides extensive experience and knowledge. She is looking out for your best interest. I'm not looking for a "friend." I want someone who is competent, experienced and will get the job done correctly. Anytime someone is looking for kitchen renovations, the Countertop Shop is the first place I recommend to friends, family and clients. Aside from the quality of work and overall experience, the Countertop Shop is a locally owned business that truly gives back to the community. I would not purchase from this establishment. My first time experience was degrading. She immediately start correcting my verbiage when she knew what I was talking about. I told her that I would come to review some of the facets that were available. She told me that I had to have an appointment to visit there show room. Which she said was not open. She also told me that I had to work through a plumber to visit and purchase items. I told here that I was a license plumber and thanked her for her candor. She hurried off the phone. I guess with an area code of 630 she assumed that I was not a plumber. Or that my articulation with words was not welcomed by her. I was left with the feeling that this southern Illinois plumbing establishment is not people friendly.

Can't say enough about what a great experience I had with them. Professional, courteous, knowledgeable, empathetic and follow thru- they checked all the boxes and I am so appreciative that I found them. Woman I spoke to on the phone initially thought she could have someone out first thing tomorrow morning, but she must have sensed my panic haha and told me "they got me" and promised to find a way to get a truck out today. They followed thru-Cody and Jack arrived a couple hours later, diagnosed issue, presented three different solves at various price points and offered guidance on plus/ minus of each. We selected an option, and they installed by mid-afternoon, and taking the time to walk me thru the fix, how the new equipment works and what to watch for if future issues occur. Well done Embrich!

The thing they did not do well for us is called price gouging. We absolutely could not believe the price tag for what was done! We had 2 kitchen faucets replaced that WE supplied. The job took less than 2 hours, and we were charged $946. In other words, $500 per hour for labor. Seriously? Does Embrich charge everyone $500/hr.? Extremely disappointed in this and made me question their claim to "integrity". If you are considering using them, beware of outrageous price tags!
