These folks have outfitted two generations of my own family essentially. I have older kids who are reaching their 30s and I have younger kids who are just now about 10. Both sets of kids have enjoyed room pools of furniture and items that we have used through the years for practical purposes and fantastic, comfortable useful items they have made a difference in our lives. I always appreciate the value of their products. The pricing is pretty darn good, especially when you get it on the sale, and the folks are always friendly and helpful. I'm really grateful that we have one of these stores not too far from where I live.

When we got home, a two hour drive, we find she gave us the wrong quilt. Called the store. They wanted us to drive back and make the exchange. When we declined that suggestion, they said they would ship the correct one but only if we would pay for the second quilt as well. Asking for overnight shipping, the clerk said they would only if we would pay the extra delivery charges. We declined. Once the second quilt arrived, we had to call the store multiple times over the next week to get them to send the return label for the original quilt. When the label was received and the package was returned with confirmation by the UPS tracking number,we again called over multiple days asking for the credit to our credit card. They would not check on it and said we should call our bank to ask them. Eventually the credit was given. I called the Pottery Barn corporate office to register our complaint. While someone did take note of why we were calling, the return call that was promised has yet to be received 10 days later. Pottery Barn, if you are reading this please do not respond with a form letter apology. You sell nothing that anyone has to have. All your products are enjoyment items. Dealing with you should be likewise.

Today, July 7, I returned the gun with the receipt. The store did not have any more Pierce nail guns in stock. Although there was one on display, they refused to give me that to me. They said there was one in Siloam Springs, 40 miles away. I had already traveled 60 miles to return the broken gun. For my return, that was defective, i received a refund butI was charged a 20% restocking fee ($33). When I contacted customer service I was informed: #1 Restocking fees were charged at the discretion of the store manager #2 The store cannot remove display items for purchase or return #3 I would have to had purchased the extended warranty for full refund #4 Item would have to be returned unused in original box (hello, how would you know it was defective if you hadn't used it) #5 it would be necessary for me to have upgraded to make the return for full purchase price possible I have done carpenter work for 30+ years. I have purchased items at this store in the past. I'm not new to nail guns. Not only was this item a defective due poor quality, but the stores optional "restocking" fee is unacceptable. Please consider not purchasing from this store unless, if necessary, you are willing to meet all the criteria listed above or you are willing to be a dissatisfied customer with no recourse.
