Talked to sales associate and was told everything would be 7 to 10 weeks order. Returned home and ordered everything from Pottery Barn (was familiar with quality from grandchildren's present furniture at their home). Ordered twin Mattresses from Serta. Mattresses delivery 7 days and Furniture by March 5th. $2700.00 total. We have bought from this Turk location twice in last five years total around 7 k. I know you can't stock everything but it seems they offer nothing more than what I can do on my phone. I don't see any reason to return. Best of luck

I have bought quite a bit of furniture from Turk over the years, but of recent, my 92 year old…read moremother purchased a lift chair. Right from the start she had complaints that she could feel the springs in the chair. Service people were sent out and basically were of no help. She basically lives in the chair and just decided to deal with it because she doesn't over a grand on the chair. Then, this past March the motor started making a horrible noise. So I called Turk and after numerous calls back and calls to their Service Center, FSN..Furniture Solution Network.. someone finally came out over 2 weeks later. 2 said before he came, the nose suddenly stopped. The guy said he could do nothing because there was nothing wrong with it. After much complaining, he called his boss while he was in his truck and came back in to tell us they were ordering us a new motor per his boss. Now mind you, the Warranty was still good at that time, but was exporting in May. I heard nothing back, thinking it was taking long for the motor to come in. But, I finally decided to call to see what was up and Turk Furniture said that they had no record that a motor was to be ordered. Needless to say, I was outraged and let them know it. I asked them to call FSN to see what happened. I don't know if they ever did that but they told me that, as a courtesy to me, they would order me a motor, but the warranty was up so they wouldn't be putting it in. I was so upset and they could not get it through there had what I possible could be upset about. I called FSN and spoke to the girl who answered the phone who was no help and basically told me that the service guy did what he was supposed to do... she wouldn't tell me if he ever put the order in for the motor... but basically told me I was s@$# out of luck, taking no responsibility. I told the manager at Turk that I wanted to speak to the owner and guess what... the owner never called. Stear clear of Turk Furniture... they don't stand by there product and outsource a horrific Service Company that refused to help. So the motor came today... am I supposed to put it in??? Thank you Turk Furniture...I will never set for in your doors again! You claim to be a family company.... what a joke, tell that to my mother who's expensive lift chair could stop working at any moment... maybe while she's lying back or raised up and would be sick like that because there is nothing you can do if it stops working... wherever it ends up it stays. Way too stand by your customers!

I am truly disappointed in my experiences with the Value City in Joliet, IL. We went into the store…read moreback in February looking for new couches for our living room. We ended up finding a sectional and a recliner we liked, and it just so happened to be on sale, so win-win, right? We were helped by Elyse, who came across as very friendly, trustworthy, and knowledgeable - or so we thought. Here are some of the issues we encountered. I originally wasn't going to write a review, but I wanted others to be warned. 1. Sectional (floor model) - When we bought the sectional, it was the last one, so we were taking the floor model. We were told it would be wrapped up either that same day or the following morning. A few days later, my parents went in because they too were looking for new couches, and they noticed the sectional we purchased (and were promised would be wrapped) was still on the floor. Not a huge deal, but definitely annoying. 2. Pickup/delivery issue - When we agreed to pick up the sectional, Elyse mentioned we could wait until the recliner (which had to be ordered) came in. That way, we could pick them both up at once and avoid the $200 delivery fee or needing to make two trips, to which we agreed. Then we got a call from Elyse saying they could no longer hold the sectional until the recliner arrived because she hadn't gotten approval from her manager and they needed space in the warehouse. I reminded her we didn't really need the recliner, it was just a nice-to-have and if it meant paying $200 for delivery or making two trips, we'd rather cancel it and just pick up the sectional. Once they heard we wouldn't be buying the recliner under those terms, suddenly it was "ok" to hold the sectional until the recliner arrived. Another annoyance - why call us with a problem, only to backtrack when you realize it might cost you the sale? 3. Financing problem - We went with their financing because it had 12 months of interest-free payments. Not that we needed the full year, but it was nice. Elyse, without being asked, put in 24 months "just to see if it would go through." We NEVER requested this. When the first bill came from the credit card company, I noticed a little over $100 was charged as a "promotional fee." No one had mentioned this, and it was charged without my authorization. I disputed it twice with the bank, but was told I signed the receipt agreeing and acknowledging it. I was shocked, if I had known about the fee, I never would have done their financing, since we didn't even need it, so why would I pay extra money if I didn't need to. I called Value City to clarify and asked if the fee applied to both 12 and 24 month financing. I was told it only applied to the 24 months. That's where I got even more frustrated - because again, we never asked for the 24 months. Elyse apologized and told me I'd have to go through the bank for a refund. I explained I already tried and was redirected back to them. She spoke with her manager and called me back, offering $100 off a future $2,000 purchase if I came into the store. At the time, I was very pregnant and not going anywhere, but more importantly, why should I have to spend another $2,000 just to fix something their salesperson did without my consent? I told her I didn't need new furniture right now and that I was due any day. She spoke with her manager again and said whenever we're ready to buy, to ask for him and he'd "take care of us." I asked what that meant and requested it in writing because all trust was broken at this point. She said she'd check with her manager and get back to me. Well, it's going on two months and I never heard back nor received anything in writing. I will never shop at this location again. They are not trustworthy. I understand I should never blindly trust salespeople and should have read the very small fine print on the receipt, but this isn't about $100, it's about the principle. Their salesperson made changes we didn't ask for, and they failed to take accountability or make it right. I just wanted to warn people before shopping here.

While the initial sales experience was positive, the product itself and the ongoing customer…read moreservice have been extremely disappointing. The bed, which is approximately three years old, was a significant investment. Since purchase, we have experienced multiple issues. The first major problem involved the pump, which stopped functioning properly. I made repeated calls to customer service seeking assistance and received little to no help. Only after persistent complaints was a replacement pump provided. However, we were required to pay for the pump and pay for installation by your company to avoid any risk of damage that might invalidate the warranty. During the installation, your technician informed us that the foam padding surrounding the bed was damaged. I contacted customer service again and was instructed to order replacement foam. At that time, I was explicitly told that the installation fee would be waived and that I should call back to schedule installation once the part arrived. When I called to schedule the installation, I was then informed that the $249 installation fee would not be waived, directly contradicting what had previously been promised. This inconsistency is unacceptable and reflects poorly on your customer service practices. In addition to these issues, our total investment in this bed has continued to increase due to multiple problems at the time of delivery. We were initially told that we had purchased the wrong bed frame and were required to buy a different one at additional cost. We were then informed that the king-size bed would not fit through our doorway, resulting in the mattress being taken back and requiring us to order a different mattress--again at additional expense. As a result, we are now into this bed for close to $5,000. Given the cost of this product, its relatively short lifespan, and the repeated out-of-pocket expenses, it is clear that the company does not stand behind its product or its warranty. The lack of consistent support, conflicting information, and ongoing fees have caused significant frustration. This experience is especially concerning for senior citizens, who may require assistance navigating warranty claims, replacement parts, or do-it-yourself repairs when customer support fails to provide adequate help.

To recap, I purchased a Sleep Number 360 bed from the Joliet store on 8/25/24 and was given a deliver date of 2-weeks out. Then before leaving the store I added a headboard and side rails to the order and it was not until after checking out I was given a new deliver date of 6 weeks out. I then asked Tony (sales guy) about cancelling the order and was told "no can do" as all sales are final on headboards. And if I wanted to get the bed when originally promised it would not cost me an additional $249.00. Just ridiculous customer service here, especially after spending over 15K. I called the "Support line" and well, got a total run-a-round of company policy rhetoric. Buyer beware... if you add a headboard to an order it will cost you an additional $249.00 to get your bed in a timely manner.

Which is why Ashley's is one of the first places I went when looking at getting a new mattress as well as a new bedroom set. After shopping around at several stores, I decided on the set from Ashley's. Originally I had looked at the Bolingbrook store and had a great experience. When i was ready to purchase, I went to the Joliet store as it's closer to my house. I picked out the mattress and bedroom set... everything was going fine.. until the lady came back with the broken down prices and the financing options. I saw there was a $998 charge on there. I inquire and she said it's the warranty. Oh ok well I don't do warranties to please remove it. FOR THE FIRST TIME LITERALLY EVER I was told "oh no, we can't remove the warranty. You have to get it when financing for 36 months." I'm sorry WHAT?! So I asked to speak with her manager who told me the same. I asked for their reasoning.. she goes "well if you're still making payments on it and something breaks, we need you covered." I laughed and asked how this was any different than my mortgage payment or car payment. Something breaks ok it's on me. She gave me a blank stare. By then I had been arguing with them for a solid 20 minutes and was about to walk out of the store. Magically, they were able to remove it after all. I've never had a bad experience anywhere as I did that night in the Joliet store. Shame on you for trying to lie to customers into getting your warranties. Not cool.

Back in 2020, I had ordered the North Shore King size bed, a chest and nightstand all for my new bedroom set. It was a nightmare with the bed. Pieces will show up damaged or just the wrong piece. After months of this, I finally get all of the bed pieces. I was told that they would put it together, NOPE. They had said, we don't do that and left. Fine, my buddy and I put it together. It was a freaking nightmare. BUT, if I didn't call or get anything fixed to my existing furniture for 5 years, I would have a $500 off my next order. My fiancé and I moved into a farmhouse and we saw a chest and 2 bar stools totaling $623. The sales rep Omar says to me, "All you owe is a balance of $123. Allow 3 weeks for a notification that your order is on the way to your pick up place or it is alrady there." They will not deliver to where I live. Which is fine, I would be more than happy to pick up my furntiture. He asked if I would pay the difference now. I said no, when the order comes in, I will. (Thank GOD I did just that it.) Three weeks and some change has passed as of yesterday. First of all, and I am shaking my head, you cannot...I repeat...CANNOT call the store directly. Your calls go to a call center. I spoke to a guy in the early morning...he says to me, it is only 9:45...store doesn't open yet. Please call back. SO I am thinking this is an answering service. I call at 11 AM, He proceeds to tell me that there is no order in my name and phone number. I got Omars business card when I was there, remembering how you cannot get ahold of anyone. I tried his cell number and it goes straight to voice mail. I called 3 times yesterday, a few hours after each time. I left a voicemail each time and never heard back from him. Now if I had paid????? I will have lost my $123.00. They will not honor that $500 and chose to "ghost" me. Honestly, its all my fault. I should have never stepped back in there. This is the store by the Louis Joliet Mall. You know what??? As I am typing this, I am going to call that cell number for Omar Shatat one more time. Calling from a different number, just in case. BRB. NOPE...straight to voice mail. I want to go there and if I lived closer like I did before I would. I live an hour and a half away now. Plus, all would happen is me getting arrested if I did. DO NOT PATRONIZE!!!!

Thank you, Erin for being the ONLY good thing about Bob's furniture. I was really hoping Bob's furniture would be better than Ashley's but it looks like they all are going to fall short. If Bob's does anything right, it would be giving the ONE good thing they have a raise and allowing her to replace her managers. Erin assisted me with picking a bed and bedroom furniture set. Due to technical issues with the order site, she sought support from her store manager. Nice Guy, but he didn't listen to what I wanted and ordered the wrong items. This was after I spent 2 hours with Erin filling her in on my issues with Ashley Furniture and my desperate need for furniture ASAP. My items arrived (most of them) on time. I had my new bed which is great, but with the box spring the store manager ordered caused the bed sit so high that my 5'8" tall body had to jump up to get into the bed. I wanted the low profile box spring so that it was lower to the ground like a bed should be. What if this bed was for a kid or an elderly individual? You would need a chair lift to get into that bed. Next, my 5 piece bedroom set was delivered as a 4 piece. Little did I know, Mr. Store Manager ordered the wrong one. So, now my husband has no dresser for the foreseeable future. Because of course, now the piece is out of stock and on back order unlike last weekend when I worked with Erin, because she confirmed all of the items I wanted were in stock due to my need. I called Erin to get the issue resolved and she graciously reached out twice letting me know her manager on duty Jessica would be calling. She even called to tell me she was going to call in 5 minutes. Guess what?! I never received the call from Jessica. Thanks for the help, Jessica. Appreciate your attention to detail - it must be a manager thing in that store. So, I had to spend my day todaytalking to a text chat bots Wildeline and Mildred and a customer care agent Adyen for 2 hours to get the issue resolved. I am now getting the box spring I wanted and when the chest dresser becomes available (hopefully before 2027), my husband will finally have his dresser. They waived the delivery fee (as they should) and gave me a $100 off. So shout out to Adyen for spending over an hour on the phone and putting me on hold 5 times to get permission to do the right thing. Oh, I forgot to mention, that all this happened after I had already ordered a sectional couch and ottoman from them for $2000 and the ottoman broke after 2 days for NO REASON. So, call me a "Karen" if you want but if my attention to detail and listening skills were as piss poor as the management in the Joliet store or as dependable as the chatbots Wildeline and Mildred at resolving ANY TYPE OF ISSUE, I wouldn't have been able to pay over $6000 on furniture in 4 different deliveries due to 3 different mishaps caused by Bob's furniture for furniture that probably has the durability of what is left of my patience. The only reason I am giving this store 3 stars is because Erin my Guest Experience Specialist was amazing, empathetic, and supportive. Jumping off my soap box now. Happy Shopping.
