I really wasn't going to leave this review because I wanted to give this small business the benefit of the doubt, but the experience has continued to bother me. I reached out to Bedazzling on Friday after another cleaning company canceled on me at the last minute. I found them through the Moreno Valley Matters page and asked if they happened to have availability for a 7 AM cleaning the next morning. They told me they could accommodate me, but it would need to be at 6 AM because of another commitment. I happily agreed and was honestly very grateful that they were willing to fit me in on such short notice. I booked a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment cleaning. The regular price was $300, there was a $50 promotion, and I added a $25 refrigerator cleaning. My total was $275, with a $100 deposit paid in advance and a remaining balance of $175. The contract stated that the service included TWO cleaners for THREE hours and that if additional time was needed, it would be discussed before moving forward. Saturday morning, only one cleaner arrived. She was about 15-20 minutes late, but that honestly wasn't a big deal to me. I also knew my apartment needed a good cleaning because my schedule has been extremely busy and I haven't had the opportunity to deep clean in quite some time. She started in the kitchen, then moved to the guest bathroom, my bedroom, and my bathroom. Once we were past the three-hour mark, she asked if I still wanted my son's room cleaned because she was already going over time. I told her not to worry about his room. I was trying to be understanding, especially since she was working alone. The part that completely changed the experience for me was when it was time to pay. Instead of the $175 balance stated in my contract, I was told I owed $215 because she had worked by herself and the cleaning took longer. I was confused because I contracted and paid for TWO cleaners for three hours. I was then told the second cleaner had overslept and had been fired. I was also told that she had missed her son's basketball game to clean my apartment. I sympathize with anyone having staffing issues or personal commitments, but neither of those things were within my control. I don't believe the customer should be financially responsible because an employee did not show up. Had two cleaners arrived as contracted, the amount of work completed within those three hours likely would have been very different. Ultimately, I paid MORE than the contracted price, received LESS than the contracted service because one of the bedrooms wasn't cleaned at all, and still noticed several details afterward that had been missed, including light switches. I also felt the attention to detail declined as the cleaning went on. What disappoints me most is that I genuinely wanted this to be a great experience. I was thankful they accommodated me on short notice, I was understanding about the late arrival, I didn't complain when only one cleaner showed up, and I agreed to skip a room because she was running over. I feel like I was more than reasonable. I don't expect perfection, especially when booking on short notice, but I do expect a business to honor its agreed pricing and not pass the cost of its staffing issue onto the customer. If the terms needed to change because only one cleaner showed up, that conversation should have happened BEFORE the cleaning began or before additional charges were incurred, not when it was time for me to pay. Unfortunately, what started as an experience I was excited to leave a positive review about ended with me feeling disappointed and taken advantage of. read more

It was easy to book a standard cleaning but the experience was just mediocre. The team arrived a couple hours late, although kept us informed of their delays. Upon arrival, they pointed out various scuffs on the baseboard and suggested we pay the higher rate for a "deep clean", which I accepted. However, they didn't do anything I would consider deep cleaning- the scuffs on the baseboard remained, they didn't move any furniture to vacuum under it, dust left under objects, and so on. The showers and bathtubs had soap streaks all over and the grout was still dirty. There is of course the opportunity to review their work, but I was already at the top of my budget paying their hourly rate and couldn't afford them to take time go back and re-clean all these things that should have been done the first time. read more

However, she quoted me one price, and then ended up charging me almost twice, because my house was "dirtier" than what was discussed. Cool. And I gave it two stars because I asked for my house to be cleaned, and when I got home the house was clean. The job was correctly done. However, the miscommunication regarding pricing was very off putting, and I will not be comfortable if this were to happen again. Like tell me the price quoted changed and ask me if I have the money or if I want to pay that much. Don't expect that money grows on trees and we can just go to the ATM last minute because you decided (by yourself) that you were now charging by the hour instead of by the square footage. Not ok. I think this business has a lot of potential, they bring their own stuff to clean which is nice, and even though they were 30+ minutes late, they seemed professional. They removed gunk (maybe hair dye?) from the tub, and I didn't even ask them to do it. I did not expect that. That was nice. They did not clean the blinds, but they did clean the mirrors. Overall, I never asked for a deep cleaning anyway, since this was my first time. I just really would have preferred an assessment of the place, and a better plan instead of rushing to "fix" things and just hope that the money didn't matter to me. I do not like surprise bills. Requested move out cleaning. Charged nearly $300 for a 1200 square foot house for 2 hours which was purchased a year prior, no pets, no kids just husband and wife. Was quoted on the phone for one price but said price can go up if she discovered more work? The ambiguity around what she considers more work and her pricing made me lose trust as a customer and no longer wanted to continue the cleaning job on the day of service. She also takes a deposit to book her so be aware. If she shows up and starts pointing new things out that you initially did not agree to, you not only lose your deposit if you change your mind but you risk having to pay more for the day from her up-charges. I've had cleaners who charged a fraction of the price, with no fuss and deep cleaned an entire house that is double in size. Save your time, energy & money. I reached out about a one-time deep clean I was hoping to have done within 10 days and Kandy was quick to respond with her availability. We discussed my needs over email and she sent me a quote and service parameters which were clear and I felt comfortable booking. On the day of the cleaning she texted and called me with updates on her arrival and she emailed me her service contract ahead of time. It laid out all of the terms and I appreciated the professionalism as I've experienced the opposite from other cleaning services and it gets messy eventually. Kandy spent 6 hours deep cleaning every corner, wall, crevice and surface of my house with her partner and I could cry with how grateful I am. She had us do a walkthrough after they were finished and she promptly sent the final invoice at the end. UPDATE: This is for a 3rd time of using this company. She charged me $700 for a deep clean that was not a deep clean on a house of 4 bed 2 bath. It was a vacant house and there were rat droppings which her contract states she will charge extra for which I said ok. Make sure you read her contract. I did not do a final walk through at 9:00 pm because it was so late and dark, otherwise I would have pointed out all of the issues. I had to go back and clean it myself. She said the toilet was stained and couldn't be cleaned. I was able to clean it no problem. Other very noticeable basic cleaning was not touched and completely missed. I do not recommend and will not be using them again in the future. I am always hesitant with paying by the hour, because so many dishonest people work slowly or do not work to the fullest. She also posted pictures and videos on Facebook without my consent. This is what she spent time doing instead of cleaning. I don't ever write bad reviews, but unfortunately because of the price and the quality of work, I had to update my first review. read more

We've used Kandy twice last year and she was amazing. This time around I'm not sure what happened but it was not the same service we've been familiar with. Kandy arrived 3 hours late and took roughly 3 hours to complete the job. Upon completion we found dirt piles still on our bathroom floor and dirt clogged in our kitchen sink that she used to dump the dirty water into. We had to clean the bathroom over again ourselves. She also was talking on speaker phone for a good portion of the time she was here for. Very disappointed with services. read more

The most moderately acceptable cleaning ever. Don't appear to be insured or licensed. Found a weird substance in the master bathroom sink. Cleaner called and demanded extra payment because they stayed later. I understand the call but she was extremely rude and discourteous. I found our custom made drying rack in the laundry room. The rack appeared to be ripped off the wall and left on the floor. See attached pics. When asked about the damage the person was disrespectful and defensive. Kandi was very responsive and did very good work. But consumer beware... we left her and her 2 employees in an empty house to do a move out clean (this was our first mistake). I was not able to do a walk through after they were done and came back the next morning to take a look at the work done. We had a laundry drying bar that was in the studs and very sturdy, that looked like it was ripped from the wall. I sent pictures and spoke to Kandi and she was very defensive and claimed if it was in the studs it would have never came off. This bar would have never came off if they were just "cleaning" it like she claims. She did offer for her son to come and fix it bust she was very rude about the whole thing and not at all apologetic about it. read more

If you would like to RECLEAN your whole house and be HARRASSED until 2AM KANDI IS RIGHT FOR YOU. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, I was EXTREMELY unhappy and unsatisfied with the job that was done. Kandi responded quickly and was available on short notice to my surprise. Her assistant asked questions and followed directions. But she never replaced a glass she broke and left glass in the carpets. There were wet dishes left in the dishwasher. Kandi asked if I wanted children's toys "organized" for $50 extra to which I declined. When asked she was defensive and said it was $50 to pick them up anyway. When reviewing the final invoice she had overcharged me and was frustrated and hesitant when asked to fix it. On the new invoice she typed that she would deduct $10 for the broken glass but did not apply the discount anywhere. I instructed Kandi to do a MAXIMUM of 3 loads of laundry and she still did 8 anyways. After the final walkthrough I noticed these things and texted Kandi at 05:34PM to which she responded back at 09:00PM. She also called and left me a voicemail, BADGERING me and INSULTING me for being unsatisfied. She says SATISFACTION GUARANTEED, but when I was unsatisfied, instead of remaining professional she became angry and would NOT stop insulting or harassing me! Horrible experience with Candy, extremely unprofessional. They finished up the cleaning and said they would send us an invoice for the cleaning. I didn't think anything of this as i paid the deposit invoice through email. No walkthrough was offered at that time. I received a call from Candy at 5:52 and i told them i could drive over in a bit and check out the work. She stated its fine as long as she gets paid that night. I was heading over to review the work at 8:30 when Candy called again yelling and screaming at me that i haven't paid. I told her i was almost there and then i can send the payment shortly since i was on the road. She threatened to call the cops and said she was heading over to the house to get her payment even after she told me i had all night to make the payment. We asked them to clean the cabinets and the closets. They said it would be an extra $50 for each. When i get the invoice, they charged us for an extra hour of work and the $100 for a total of $200. This was not conveyed to us at that time. Given the situation and the fact she showed up in the middle of the night screaming and banging on the door. I had the same negative experience as others that gave 1 stars. The owner, Kandi was very responsive and friendly when I called to schedule a cleaning. She quoted me a 5 hr deep cleaning job at the hourly rate for 3 people working at the same time. Well, she showed up 40 mins late by herself. 2 helpers finally showed up 2 hrs later. She charged $100 extra for cleaning interior cabinet drawers and cupboards. I was okay with the charges as long as they do a decent job. That was not the case! The 5 hr cleaning became 8 hrs. The final bill came out to be $700 and I couldn't believe the results...8 kitchen drawers not cleaned, 3 toilets not touched at all, none of the bathroom drawers were wiped down, master shower not cleaned and the list goes on. I took pictures minutes after they left. See for yourself. The quality of cleanliness is very poor. I regret hiring this company and will never recommend them to anyone. In response to your comments, Kandi: yes, I'm on a tight budget because due to Covid my tenants have not paid rent for over a year before they left. Clearly there was miscommunication. Once you arrived at the house, you did not revise your estimate of 5 hrs as we did the walk thru together. I even told you not to clean the double oven or spend too much time vacuuming carpet because those will be replaced. 5 hrs should be more than enough time if there were 3-4 people working like you said. I came to check on the house twice while you were there, each time you said you were almost done. When the bill came the next day, I reached out to you with my concerns about the cleanliness. Personnel were courteous and responsive. They do a great surface clean, would use for a regular cleaning service. I requested move out cleaning, deep cleaning with extra fee for oven. Long story short, oven and showers looked amazing, everything else was mediocre at best as I had to go back to clean around and behind sinks and toilets, window sills, drawers and cabinets.
