Don't be fooled by this little shop. They carry a lot of lines of furniture. Many of them made right here in Oregon. The staff here really knows their stuff. And if they have a question they can't answer, they check with Kathy and Mary the owners, or they contact the actual furniture maker. (Who knew that was possible? Yes!) Note that they quoted me a 4-6 week wait to have my item made in Albany (I think was the town), and sent to their store. It actually was ready at 4 weeks! Also, in this time of Covid, if you call and give them some details of what you want (size, style budget) they can email you options before you even go in. We went early and on a weekday but picked up on a Sunday early and it was not crowded. I believe it's possible to place your whole order by phone and email, pay for delivery and never visit the shop.

We were assisted by Sarah, whom I cannot say enough good things about. She knew her product well, asked us the right questions to determine what we wanted and why. She provided multiple options and wasn't pushy at all. She was a professional. We will be back soon to purchase another bed. Our delivery team, led by William, was excellent. They were professional in every aspect of the installation, reviewed the operational issues with the bed frame, asked if I had any questions, and left the room as they found it. I told him what I was looking for and how much I wanted to spend. It was so easy and he knew all his stock. I left in under 20 minutes with the bed frame and mattress in my car. I spent under $400 and it is exactly what I needed. The bed frame was super easy to assemble and I had that done in 5 minutes. After unfurling the mattress I made up the bed and its ready to go. We went to three stores and finally decided we'd stretch our budget so we could stop shopping! ;-) I went back the next day to order the one closest to our budget, only to have the guy tell he had messed up and it was actually $1200 more than he'd quoted. Ugh.... So off I went to three more stores by myself. The next day, my husband and I went out again and went to two more stores....again, way out of budget. So, after another disappointing day of shopping, we stopped at this store on the way home. The young salesman was great. No pressure. Easy to talk to. Knew what he was talking about. I didn't give him any idea what our budget was but we told him the mattress and frame we wanted (which he didn't even have on the display floor)....and he came in at budget. The EXACT same mattress set that everyone else was quoting at $1000+ more! We ended up with the split king, a frame upgrade, and mattress covers for our targeted price. Honestly, I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop...a call saying he's messed up or that the mattress was discontinued. Nope. It ended up coming in about 2 weeks early, and the salesman called to tell me I would get a call about 6:30pm giving me a three hour delivery window. My phone rang at 6:15pm, and we were given a 11:30am-2:30pm window. Two delivery guys showed up in that window and were very nice! They took hardly anytime at all to set it up and haul away our old set. I seriously can't say that I've had this good of a transaction, anywhere, in the last 10 years. We went in and bought our couch on October 26 and were promised a quick delivery. They did not deliver on this, it took about two weeks to get our couch and they delivered the mirror image of the couch. They then told us they would exchange it the following week. Great it seemed like and easy fix, but they delivered a USED couch. The couch had scuffs, tears, and stains. I called to tell them about this and they requested pictures, which I emailed them the same day. After 4 days of not hearing anything from them I called and finally they told me they had reviewed the pictures and would be exchanging the couch, again. They blamed the manufacturer for the defects. Finally on December 10 a third couch was delivered, and so far we have not noticed anything wrong with it, probably because this one is actually new. The only reason we know this is because this is the only couch that actually came with the tags attached. On another note, it might be a coincidence, but following the first exchange I called and my calls were not going through, they never picked up he phone. This was until I turned the called ID off on my phone and following this my calls were always picked up right away. So if your hoping to shop here, don't expect a quick delivery, thoroughly inspect it when it is being delivered, make sure the tags are still attached, and turn off your caller ID .

Well we should have listened to the reviews and stayed FAR away, because customer service seriously sucks at JR. We ordered a sectional and opted to pick it up ourselves, it took a week longer to to arrive than expected and we didn't even get an eta on it arriving until we called them asking what was up. That should have been our first clue. After we picked it up and unboxed it, we discovered that one of the pieces they sent was the wrong one and faced the wrong direction. It took them a while to finally get back to us to say they would reorder the correct piece. We requested they come and pick up the wrong one, and drop off the right one, but they refused and insist we need to come return the wrong one and pick up the right one, even though it was their mistake. Truly abysmal customer service, shop literally anywhere elsewhere that actually values their customers. Previously we bought furniture at Banner furniture and mattress and there was a mix up with something and they were so quick to send out a delivery guy with the correct thing and fix it within a day... mix ups happen but how you handle it matters! I'd definitely recommend Banner over JR any day after this experience.
