My husband and I took our 4 and 18 m.o daughters here. They loved it, as we kept the positivity up for them. However there were very poor options available - mostly holiday or much larger pieces. Pieces were overpriced. Many of the paints were empty, and they're basic acrylic paints you can get for 79 cents-$1 at any craft store so I don't understand why so many were empty, dried out, or completely solid. The shop was also super hot inside. We were able to make the best of it but certainly won't be returning. Even with a Groupon of $19 for 4 people (each gets $10 towards a ceramic piece) we ended up paying $12 extra as there aren't really any $10 options. You can make it fun, but I think we will spring for the more expensive shops next time to get more options. read more

This place wasn't too bad, I just wished they promoted it correctly on Groupon. How it works is you go in and pick a ceramic figurine, you must pick an item that is $10 or more. If it's more than $10, you just pay the difference. Then you either paint the item with acrylic paint (which you can take home the same day) or glazed paint (which takes about 7 days to set). I just wished they had more items to choose from as advertised, and they do not let you make your own ceramic piece. Also most of the acrylic paints were empty. Other than that everything else is included, no other fees, there is no time limit, and you are free to paint to your heart's desire. read more

My review is solely based on purchasing a ceramic and taking home to paint. I did not take advantage of their painting supplies and finishing, but they did have a large paint section. As far as ready to purchase ceramics they didn't have a huge selection however they are able to make a lot of items. They have molds available so if you are searching for anything specific just ask. My friend was able to order an item she had been searching for and wasn't having luck finding. She was told to expect a call he following week but didn't get called. She had to call them. Update: my friend received her custom piece. She wasn't thrilled but said it was acceptable and she could make it work. Said there was a very obvious seam that they didn't blend out and there was no hole drilled in the bottom to allow her to place a light bulb in. She ordered a piece that you put those small plastic lights in and then there is a bulb in the base to light it. read more

Used a Groupon to come in on a rainy day. Not impressed with the selection at all. Lots of random tacky designed cups and ceramic signs, nothing plain to paint. We were told we could request to have something made and come back later but we didn't really want to come back. The Groupon might get you something small to paint but if you are two or more plan on spending at least $25 each. We chose to have our items spray glazed so we did not have to come back and the spray ruined some of the paint but at that point we just wanted to leave. The place could use some decorating inside. Something more comfortable and professional. The staff was nice but we could tell she was getting annoyed that we took so long trying to find something to paint. read more

They don't have a big selection of ceramics and the ones that they have are not even that well made. I'm definitely not coming back here again. The store is very small & limited pottery selection. I wanted a basic soup bowl/oversized mug...none available! Janet says she pours items every day but pottery is marked made in china? Paints were very dry & crumbled as I painted my layers, which hadn't happen at other pottery places. I hope my piece glazes well...I'll see in a few days. I'm not likely to return. read more

This is such a fun studio with a huge selection of pottery. The woman who owns the business is super helpful, encouraging and accommodating. I went with a group of 10 and needed to set up a last minute team building. We were set up and had our stations ready for us when we arrived. You have the option to pain in acrylics and take your piece with you, or to use paints that require your piece to be glazed and fired. We were encouraged to put on whatever music we wanted and we all had a great time. We'll definitely be coming back. This studio has very affordable pricing, and without studio or supply fee's you are paying only for your pottery you choose to paint. I look forward to coming back for another stress relieving, fun session of painting. read more

We have now come to visit the studio three times to finish up some pieces and I can't imagine a more positive space or a better value for your money. New pieces of bisque ware are always out and get snatched up quickly so if you see something you like and you know you are coming back at a later date, grab it quickly! In addition, there is a large selection of green ware that you can clean yourself. This week I saw a super detailed ancient Egyptian chess set in there: I don't play chess, but with those AWESOME pieces, I'd be willing to learn. Janet is very friendly and knowledgeable. You can paint and take the same day, or you can glaze for a more professional look. Price is based on individual pieces: you pay for the one you want and everything is included: no extra fees to pay! If you don't finish in one day, you can always come back. It's best to make an appointment on the weekends in case large parties come in. We are loyal customers for sure! read more

This is a very small space. I was disappointed with the selection of items to paint. When we finally decided on our pieces, I was even more disappointed that almost every single bottle of paint was empty. And not just almost gone, it was completely dry. I bought the Groupon and brought my son, we did end up paying additional for the pieces, it's ranges per piece. But we had fun. My boyfriend and I went in on a Tuesday afternoon to paint and were told we were lucky to get in....it was empty. Why not just say hello and have us paint? We picked a couple of mugs and painted for a couple of hours with the food safe paint. We were told it would be a few days, not to worry, they would call us. After a week I ended up calling and they were ready. How long had they been ready, I don't know. I go in that day to pick them up and the lady spends 10 minutes looking for them. I was still positive and just excited to get these awesome mugs we painted for each other. I got the two mugs, but on my way out, noticed the inside of the one I had painted was chipped. Definitely not something I could have done in the 30 seconds they had been in my hands as it was the inside of the mug. I said "oh gosh, I don't think it's food safe, I wonder what happened" and she said she would reglaze it and that it would be fine. Wrong. A week later we go to get it again. They haphazardly globbed a different color paint over it and it is still rough to the touch where the big gash is and we still can't use it. To top it off the other paint oozed down and covered one of the stars I painted. I was so bummed when I saw it today. Needless to say, we will never be coming back. read more

Is there an option for 0 stars? I brought my mum here as a nice Mother's Day out. We purchased the Groupon, but ended up still paying over $100 in cash ( you get a 10% discount with cash- but also no recourse). My mum did a beautiful jug which she was told would be put in the kiln and ready in less than a week. It has been over a month now. Last time my mum called she was told that If she wanted her piece she could pay $75 for her to turn the kiln on. Seriously?!? What kind of business is this?!? If your business is ceramics and you use a kiln.. maybe you should factor those costs in. Not my problem you don't know how to properly run a business. At this rate, you won't keep it. I can guarantee that. Word of mouth is very strong. Now when my mum calls her, someone else picks up the phone and states she is busy or just stepped out and she will return her call. Never does. When we went we had a small variety of pottery to choose from idk if it's always that small of an inventory or if we just went when they were expecting more in the near future, a lot of paint bottles were empty but we still managed to find all the colors we needed. I had my daughters 8th birthday party at Bee Creative Ceramics. It was amazing! She had everything decorated and organized. She had put out all of the variety of ceramic pieces that was in the price range that was in my birthday party package so the kids knew what they could choose from. I'll never be back. I bought a groupon with the understanding that I could choose between a $10 item and below. There was not one option for a $10 item which I felt was misleading. I don't mind paying extra for a bigger item but the other options were awful. Very cheap. Very little. Something you could find at a garage sale. And most were holiday options in the middle of summer. The paint bottles were almost all gone. When I complained about the empty bottles Janet said I just needed to add water...no you just need to purchase more paint. Then when she sprayed my item she got glitter from the other items all over my item so it was ruined. Then I purchased the extra items and she charged my card 3 times. I was already upset at a horrible experience I had to call back and figure it all out. She was a nice lady but clueless on how to run a business. Very home made crafty. I could've gone to Michaels and done this at home with my kids with better quality. I won't be back or recommend this place to anyone. read more

The place is very small with a few tables and if there is more than ten people in there, you feel like they are bumping into you. The selection is very limited. Placed an order for a 3 piece Christmas tree and base in May and waited weeks for it to be poured and fired, no one ever called to say it was ready. Finally made a trip in to find out 1 piece and a base was available and NO paint but that the paint was on order, waited for a call on the paint arrival but never received one. Again made a trip in to find all the pieces finally ready and paint available but the tree sections would not fit together since as any ceramic business owner should know, they have to be fired together in order to fit. Asked for our money back and Janet was very nice about it, she took all the information and said she would contact the bank for the refund, 2 weeks later still no refund, she gave the excuse that the batch was not closed. To make a really long story shorter I had to dispute the charge through my credit card company since she would not follow through with hers and says she will call back but never does. Beware they say the have thousands of molds and can poor you anything but the wait is long and may not be worth it. No one should run a business this way. read more

This was our 2nd time here and we won't be going back. She quickly explained what to grab to get started. My daughter and I browsed the poor selection of ceramics to paint. We finally found a couple little things and go to sit down at a table with six chairs. I was hoping to sit next to my child so I could have her next to me if she needed help, but the lady asked if we could sit across from each other in case a party of four came in. There were 2 other tables completely empty and another table with 2 people painting. Really?? You can't put the party of four at one of the empty tables? We went to grab our paints and found a lot of the paints were empty or were pretty low and getting dried out. As we are trying to enjoy are painting experience, she comes by to tell us that we put our paints on the wrong plate. I guess there is a specific plate we were suppose to put the paints on?? But since she quickly blurted out the instructions when arriving, I obviously missed that detail. Definitely won't be back. read more
