My brother and I were on our way to Buffalo and came across this place on a google search for restaurants near us. We ended up going a bit out of our way but it was definitely worth it! When we first walked in we could tell that it was a place frequented by the local "regulars" which was right up our alley! We sat at the bar and Randy made us feel right at home! I'm not a big beer drinker but I thoroughly enjoyed the beer I had (can't remember the name, something with tangerine). My brother had the Bee Hoppy on tap and he really liked it. We ordered the calamari, hoppy fries, and a few different kind of wings. The hoppy fries are amazing! Not your regular cheese fries. And the wings were nice and crispy. Fantastic food. They clearly take the time to get it right. I had the fried pickles and quesadilla with chicken. Both were fresh, not greasy at all. They have an extensive menu and also had close to 10 specials, all of which sounded good. I get the feeling whoever is cooking here really enjoys it. Stopped in for the first time tonight and had a very good experience. There was a pretty full crowd tonight but we still were able to walk over and sit at a table with no wait at all. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. One of the owners was tending bar and helped talking our food order as well. Very friendly, very knowledgeable, and she took the time to let us know of the kegs just tapped earlier today that weren't not on the menu yet. We are definitely going back soon and will go over to the brewery tasting side for some samples of more brews. We had lunch here today. The beer selection was awesome, it was varied and long! Their menu is ginormous, but the food was phenomenal! We had the Pollen Poutine, the Loaded Tots and the Irish Egg rolls. My wife and I spit these between us and it was more than enough to fill us. Stopped in Sunday for Linner because my parents were in town and they love a good burger + beer. I had the standard cheeseburger with chips and it again met my expectations. My mom had the bacon blue burger and ate almost the whole thing- she never does! I also convinced her to have the sweet potato fries (so I could have some) and they were excellent. Nick had the cali burger and I had a big bite of that- I'm talking stacked with avocado, cheese, egg, and more! He had the regular fries and I wish I would have gotten those! Took 45 minutes to get our appetizer on a quiet Sunday afternoon. (Hot pretzels) Had to leave before we even got our food (over an hour wait) so we could make it to work. As a former resident of Canandiagua, I would frequent this pub often. They have great taps and (generally) friendly service. I moved a few towns over, but had to drive to Canandiagua today to vote. I figured I'd stop for a beer and some food. I sat down and the bartender asked if I wanted a beer list and I said yes. I realized I forgot my ID, but had gone there pretty regularly in the past so I figured I'd give it a try anyway. I'm 30 years old, and I look like a fully grown human so I don't usually get carded. The bartender asked for my ID, I said I forgot it and offered to show a picture of my passport. This middle aged male bartender proceeded to embarrass me in front of the entire bar, loudly making a scene in a condescending tone about how he needs a physical ID in order to serve me. Ok, fine, I ask for a food menu because I still needed to eat dinner. He comes back over and again, condescending loudly offers me a "non alcoholic beverage" to which I reply "no". At this point, people are staring at me. I am studying the food menu when he states "don't be mad at me, hunny, I'm just doing my job" while the bar patrons continue to stare at me. At this point I am humiliated and stand to leave, and hear a few laughs and people continue to stare as I leave the restaurant. What a truly horrible experience. I fully understand that you cannot serve me a beer if I can't produce a physical ID, but that doesn't mean you can treat me like a second class citizen. Server did apologize twice, but had to ask for soup to get started. She brought the cup of soup with the spoon in the cup (along with her thumb) not on a plate/saucer. I asked for manager, and told him, he apologized and brought a fresh cup(on a side plate) but I didn't feel confident to eat it at that point. Overall the food was mediocre, but that's not my complaint. You would think that after 2 years of a pandemic when at times there was only takeout that restaurants would have a process but I realize things happen. Ordered food for takeout on March 4, 2022 and didn't get everything in the order. Still not my complaint. Called after we got the food home and found 2 missing items. A meal and a side. Called back and they offered for us to Come back and get the items which was appreciated but really unless you are next door who's going to go back out. They agreed to credit me for the missing items and wish that had been the end. So now it's April 2nd and not only have they not credited me but it is IMPOSSIBLE to talk to anyone who has the "authority" to address the issue. I have called 4 or 5 times. A couple of times with a promise of a return call but have not heard from anyone. When I called yesterday I was told the person who can help me works on Wednesday's from 11:30 to 4. That's hilarious. The ONLY person who can help with an opissue works for 5 hours on Wednesday. At this Point I just want to be credited for the entire meal for $80.00. Take your business elsewhere. We were very excited to try this new spot. This place is not brewing beer and I am not sure if that is the intent. I did notice a wall in the bar with windows looking into another room so perhaps once permitting is complete they will brew. As we entered the bar from the front I was excited to see the bar was full, sadly the crowd was mostly older couples. Loud older couples. And a loud ass blonde bartender. She was literally screaming conversation with them across the bar at 5pm this past Saturday. She had her new pushup bra on and we all heard about it! We shared one appetizer; the Irish Egg rolls. Stumbled across this place the other day. Nice selection of beers, lot of microbrews (including locals, such as Naked Dove). They're apparently still working on installing the brewing equipment for brewing their own, but based on the one "house" IPA they had, you're not missing too much compared to the other microbrews they have on tap. It was fine, nothing special. Had a patty melt, and I was pleasantly surprised at it's quality. A good patty melt isn't exactly a work of art, but a bad one is an atrocity. They got it right, and apparently the staff is actually capable of following instructions like "medium". Nothing bugs me more than a place that actively asks you how you want your burger cooked, then doesn't do it. Service was okay, the place is clean and has a nice decor/vibe. We got up and asked where our waitress was and got some lip that she would be right there. Well 10 minutes later and she is still no show. Update: Once we got the attention from the waitress the food came and drinks came out quickly and it was delicious. This is NOT a true brew pub. A very unorganized establishment. Had to enter through the "Brewery" entrance. Upon entering the "brew pub" you are in the bar area (well stocked with loud locals). Walked a bit further into the dining room and had to ask to be seated. Only table available, not in the middle of the room, was by a very drafty window. We expected to see a "brew" menu that described the pub's own brews. Instead we got a list (ink jet printed in a 3-hole plastic sleeve) of brews on tap and bottled. Very little, if any at all, description of the tap brews. Couldn't discern what was brewed on premise, local, or keg from a distribution center. Yup, in other words, this is just a bar with a few tables serving food! What a huge disappointment. We left without ordering anything and had a MUCH better experience at a nearby Mexican establishment. read more

This was our second visit. Our first visit went well and the food was excellent, this time, not so much. I had the signature wings that were supposed to have a Thai-inspired rub, but what I got were very bland wings that tasted like they had no seasoning at all. They were also undercooked in my opinion as the skin was not crispy. The cilantro lemon dipping sauce was fine, but I didn't really get any cilantro flavor. It reminded me more of tzatziki sauce. My wife had the mac-n-cheese special which had fried shrimp with bang-bang sauce. The shrimp were excellent, but the mac-n-cheese was another bland item with very little cheese flavor. To top it all off, the server was no where to be found for a long time after we were finished and were left waiting to pay our bill and leave after suffering through a sub-par meal. Stopped by this Sunday for lunch when we were in the Canandaigua area for the day. Tucked away off the main drag, headed to this place based on Yelp reviews. The atmosphere was very divey, with a local crew sitting at the bar. Menu was your standard bar menu with a lot of options where they seem to not excel at any of it. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with fries. The roll was terrible- definitely left over from days before as it was not at all fresh. The egg, bacon, and cheese was tasteless. I drowned it in ketchup, salt, and pepper to try to give it some taste but it was not worth eating - it sat untouched on my plate. Sat at a high table by a window in the bar area and the area by the window was covered in spider webs- I wanted to walk right out based on cleanliness but didn't because we were hungry.
