Highly recommend Bee Rooted! Great communication from the start--everything was clearly explained before they got to work. They carefully opened up the wall where the hive was, made clean cuts, and neatly stacked everything they removed. Most importantly, they removed the honeycomb and bees without using any chemicals. It took just over a week for the rest of the bees to clear out (exactly what they said to expect), and they were ready to come back for follow-up if needed. Just know that they don't patch the wall right away--they leave it open for a couple of weeks to make sure all the bees are gone, and they let you know upfront that you'll need to handle repairs separately. Plan for that! What really stood out to me was how experienced and respectful they were--both to me and the bees. No poisons, no shortcuts. Super friendly and I love that they responded right away. They were efficient and got the bees with almost no stragglers. Through no fault of their own, a new group of bees came and tried to establish a home a few days later. So I called them back. Amanda laughed in my face as she quoted me the same price. My hope was maybe a cut rate because they were just here and we're in the middle of a pandemic. Or, maybe, some compassion rather than laughter. I didn't rehire them. I called a second company to remove the second swarm who offered a warranty and sprayed repellant and offered suggestions for how to reduce swarms on my trees. You live you learn. read more

Bee Rooted, great people and great service! We discovered a swarm of bees about the size of a football in our apricot tree in the back yard about a week ago. After much research (and learning!) online we decided to call an actual beekeeper. Bees are an important part of the ecology and we didn't want to destroy them, just get them to move on :) We called Bee Rooted and after an enlightening bee conversation with Amanda, they came out as soon as they could schedule us in. They not only safely removed the swarm but relocated them to a community garden lot.
