I came in for a pedicure today and had a great experience with Kay! Her massage was amazing, my skin is super soft, and my nails look great!

Not a good lash experience. Cindy arrived for the appointment late. She rushed in and told me to lay on the table as she removed her sun glasses and placed her cell phone on her lap. I asked if she needed a minute to settle herself and prepare the room and she said no. I then asked her to wash her hands prior to starting (as she would be touching my face and since she just came in and hadn't prepared the room or anything...and I don't know where her hands had been just before she arrived). She gave me attitude but I asked her again, and even said, "or use hand sanitizer." She grudgingly went to the bathroom, turned on the water for 3 secs, loudly grabbed paper towels, balled them up and returned. So, it was clear that hands were not washed. At this point, I'm regretting the decision to have given this place a try despite some of the negative experiences I've read about. But, I decided to make the best and see if it can be a good experience after all. She begins, and does not clean or prep my lashes...AT ALL. She puts tape on my undereye area, sticks some things on my forehead and starts applying the lashes. When I told her that I noticed she didn't put anything on before starting, she told me that she doesn't use anything because they contain alcohol which isn't good. After a few minutes, she takes my hand, puts a fan in it, telling me to hold it there for a bit and that I'm done. I said, what? I look at the clock and it's been 7 minutes. Yes, SEVEN minutes!!! I tell her that I have never had my lashes done in seven minutes. She told me that she's fast and that she's been doing lashes for 15 years. Once I get up and look in the mirror, my lashes on the right side are not straight. She said it was because my natural lashes were curly. I told her I've had my lashes done plenty of times and have never had that issue. I had to ask several times for her to fix it. To her credit, she did finally have me lay back down to correct the visibly crooked placement. But the final product was definitely below standard. I was in and out in under 30 minutes (mind you, we started late). When I got home, I looked in my magnifying makeup mirror. The lashes are sloppily applied and glue chucks are visible and can be seen on my eyelid. I definitely won't be going back. read more

I came in for a manicure and pedicure and had a mixed experience. My pedicure was done really well and I was happy with how it turned out. Unfortunately, my French manicure was very disappointing, especially considering the price. The white tips are uneven and wavy instead of clean and symmetrical. The lines are thick and bulky in areas, and you can see where the polish was not applied cleanly along the edges. The smile line is not smooth, and from the side the tips look raised and unrefined. A French manicure is a pretty standard service, so I was surprised to see this level of inconsistency and lack of precision. It doesn't have that crisp, polished look you expect. I'm sharing photos so others can see what I experienced. I really wanted to love the result, especially since my pedicure turned out great, but the manicure did not meet expectations *****Update**** The french nails pics were take. 30 minutes after I left and got home. I just took a shower 4 hours later and now my pedicure is coming off. Don't spend your money $110 for crap! read more

I tried to give this place a chance despite reading the reviews but next time I'll just listen. I came yesterday to get hybrid extensions for my upcoming bday trip, and now I'm not even sure I'll have my own damn lashes. Never had I ever had an experience like this with my lashes. Be prepared to have your lids SCOTCH TAPED like you're in an Mk-Ultra experiment. The worker's too busy on the phone tapping away to talk to you and then will laugh when she realizes she glues your eyes shut. She'll pry your eyes open with no care, ripping off all your natural lashes. I don't even want to know the glue they have. They ripped the little labels off the bottles without a care. Just BAD!!! I had previously decided that this was the best place to get my nails done in LaMesa, but I was feeling kind of "meh"last visit. The man who did my pedicure was great! A woman simultaneously did my nails and she was constantly on her phone texting, talking as well as scrolling while doing my nails. I don't do this very often and it's annoying enough when another customer is on the phone much less the manicurist! There was no music just silence and they didn't offer to turn on my massage chair or a drink. My nails looked good though and they lasted a long time. read more

I went to this salon last week and had the worst experience of my life. I went for lash extensions from the lash lady, I think she said her name was Cindy. this lady was 20 minutes late to start with. it only gets worse from here so put your seatbelt on and pay attention...when she gets there she takes me into the little room, doesn't apologize or mention the fact that she was late. she leaves the door of the room open and was chit chatting with the other two women that were in the salon in the main part where nails are done. there were zero other customers for my entire visit, no incoming calls, no walk ins, no business at all besides mine. Cindy proceeds to blabber loudly since these other women were not actually in the room with us so it was foreign language laughing and back and forth banter the entire time. she had to remove approximately 4-6 lashes from my previous extensions because they were a different style. she twists each one and is pulling at my natural lash along with the remaining extensions and is using force on my eyelids so much that it felt like she was ripping them out. I kept saying ow, and ouch and she kept chatting and pulling and didn't release pressure at all until they were off. she starts applying the tape and it's pulled in such a way that both eyes are literally twitching because they were almost forced open by the tape while I'm supposed to close them. it was so uncomfortable and she keeps telling me to relax my eye but I can't because they are being pulled by the tape.. when she starts applying the extensions, glue is gettting into my actual right eye and she does nothing about it. she was pretty quick but it didn't feel like it since she was chatting so loudly and constantly over my face with my eye burning and twitching because they're still pulled too tight. Then when she's done she literally rips the tape from my face piece by piece and there were like four or so on each eye. The area where the tape goes is so close to my eye that the skin is very sensitive but she just pulls and tugs at the tape because it's attached to me very well but that hurt like a bitch. I'm like owwwwww, she does nothing different and continues to finish ripping the tape off. My eye starts watering and she gives me a fan to hold up to my own face for ten minutes while she went out to go chat on with the other two ladies, then she comes in and tells me I'm done but I can't open my eyes because the glue has my eyelashes bonded together from the top to the botttom lashes on each eye. She grabs some tool and just rips the space between the two to release them but my eyes are completely red and tears are dripping out of them from the glue so she gives me the fan back and sets me in the lobby for another ten minutes because she said she works so quickly that the glue doesn't dry fast enough so I just gotta use the fan. When I'm finally done I go,out to my car and I can litterally feel the drops of glue on each cluster. I never knew they were going to be clusters. The glue was very hard like super glue and when I blinked, I could feel the litttle stones of glue move when my lashes touched each other each time. I couldn't get them off because it was actually like superglue and it ripped my natural lashes out of my face. If you think you are going to have a better experience, I wish you luck but apparently I'm not the only one that's dissatisfied with the quality of work because nobody else stopped in, walked in, or had appointments the entire time I was there which was like an hour and a half by the time I was done. My appointment was 3:30p. I have never beeen to a nail salon that has zero customers or phone calls in that span of time, during that part of a business day. Today I went in and was told she is on vacation. I booked this appointment with her via text on 9/23. Today is 10/10, so she had 2 1/2 weeks to let me know she wouldn't be there. Positives: staff was friendly and I was extremely excited about them having an 8:30am appointment available. They also offered complimentary drinks which is a nice touch. I originally asked for gel x (which I found out today on their website that they do actually offer) the male tech doing my nails didn't seem to understand what I was referring to, so I settled for just a simple manicure nude/natural gel polish or French no added enhancements. I actually did not receive a manicure but the male tech said he could do this on my short nails "for me" using acrylic. I haven't had acrylic nails in 5-10 years, so I forgot about the up sales ... anyway, I felt pain on my left middle finger but figured it would go away after a little while; fast forward a week later it's still very painful so painful I could not touch iI removed the acrylic coat and on the side of my finger was pus bubble.. I'm not sure why that happened but I'm afraid that as badly as I wanted that to be my new nail place, I just cannot do that service again, it honestly makes me question their sanitary practices. She listened when I asked her to keep them thin rather than bulky and didn't try to force me to place a tip on my short thumb nail. She helped me choose colors based on what I was asking for and was so gentle with my brittle nails. Jennie perfected my raggedy toes after I cut them too low to manage my running and hikes adventures. She playfully berated me not to touch my feet because she was going to take good care of them and that's exactly what she did! First time customer, called ahead for a spa pedicure and fill. Everyone was super cheerful and polite when I arrived and I was placed in a chair right away. Tony did a wonderful job switching my nails from stiletto to coffin shaped and helped me pick the perfect burgundy and peach combination to really bring the autumn theme to life. I was a little bummed that he didn't paint the tips of the nail, it left them looking unfinished, but he explained he never did the tips because it would throw off the rest of the nail? Not sure, but it wasn't worth fixing apparently. Thank you also to the young lady who did my toes, she did a wonderful job but i didn't catch her name. Overall a great experience, just wish i felt better about how my nails turned out. Pictures below. Not sure what changed at this business, but something did. We made an appointment for 11:00 to accommodate Mom (who is in a wheelchair) and when we got there, the techs were already working on other people. We waited 45 minutes to get Mom taken care of (again: appointment). What really was upsetting though is that before (likely under old management?) they accommodated us so nicely, and even bought a basin so Mom could go there comfortably and not have to get out of the wheelchair. When we went today (again after calling and scheduling an appointment) we were met with, "We don't do that anymore" and "We don't have that basin anymore." "We don't do that anymore." No further information, no trying to help us or accommodate us. And then the talking and snide looks were sent our way from the staff. My sis and I asked "Ivy" if she could take care of Mom, and that we would help her. Ivy was SUPER, and I felt for her because she probably got the brunt of all the rest of the ladies later on. My friend wanted me to give her follow up info so she could go there and get her nails done. We won't be back, and I told my friend not to go, so essentially they just lost 4 customers today. I did make an appointment and once I got there, they got to me within 5 minutes of my arrival. I had a relaxing pedicure & manicure and both ladies that worked on me were really kind. I hadn't had a pedicure in a really long time, so the heels of my feet needed work. I wish that the person doing my pedicure was a little more heavy-handed than she was to really scrub down the calluses. But I'm sure after a few more trips, they'll get to where Im used to. I had a good pedicure. But when I went to use my gift card they rejected it because they are under new ownership. Gift card was issued in 2019. Yet they have awards for their salon from 2018. Hmmm.
