Place takes over an hour and a half for an oil change. Highly recommend not buying here. Terrible service and will forget about telling you when your oil services are complete. We had a great no pressure buying experience with Tim Sizemore. He explained all the features of the car. He rode with us during the test drive to explain all the functions and features of the automobile (eyes sight, radio, phone etc.). The route that he chose had a little of every driving condition, hills, curves, highway so that we were able to put the car through its paces. He helped negotiate a reasonable purchase price that we and the sales manager could live with. He expedited financing. Once the car was purchased he helped connect phones, etc. before we left the dealership. He was very pleasant, professional and courteous throughout the whole process. Rhonda the finance person explained in detail each and every option available. Again there was no pressure to buy. She explained all the necessary documents and answered any questions that we asked with a smile. Rhonda is a real treasure. We appreciate the kindness of all the employees. It is not often that you find an entire dealership where everyone wears a smile and has nothing but positive things to say. read more

When you buy a car or request quotes on a car, you generally provide your email address, I get that. I have purchased 2 vehicles from Beechmont Subaru but I have no other association with Beechmont Subaru or Northgate Ford. I couldn't find Northgate Ford with both hands and a map. Yesterday I received this message from "Beechmont Subaru VW" using the email address "sender@drivecampsigns.com". Obviously that is a 3rd party service that the dealers use. "Disappointment, it's what makes a Subaru, a Subaru." That will be the new corporate motto with the service being provided by Beechmont Subaru. Vehicle was taken for the infamous Takata airbag replacement. It was returned with the interior covered in black oil. I complained and it was to be cleaned and ready the following day. Returned for pickup and my car still had oil spots that I resigned to cleaning myself. Head gasket was replaced in 2015, vehicle was driven less than 30,000 miles since. Head gasket is leaking again and the dealership refuses to address the issue. Timing belt was replaced at the same time. Another dealer states that a new belt is needed. I question whether any of these repairs were completed at all. If they were completed, the work was obviously done poorly. If you enjoy shoddy service, encounters with inept Subaru employees, wasting your time, money and general frustration, buy a Subaru. If you want to compound these problems exponentially, buy from Beechmont Subaru. Subarus are lemons and Subaru of Beechmont is making the lemonade. Finally got my car back more than 2 months and thousands of dollars later. Took the car to another mechanic immediately afterward as it was still leaking boost. Since then the car has been running great. Still very unhappy with Subaru of Beechmont and I strongly recommend you think long and hard about your options before visiting their service center. A friend and coworker of mine was going to purchase a car there but noticed the poor reviews on Yelp. He mentioned his concerns to the GM who stated: "you don't have to buy a car here". Ouch. My friend ended up buying at Busam Subaru in Fairfield and said it was worth the drive although he lives in downtown Cincinnati. I won't go back even for the free oil changes...now drive all the way to Florence...and pay for it...they replaced my headliner under warranty...after trying not to, got it back with greasy handprints on every square inch of my 3 month old car, they offered to have it detailed, got it back and was still greasy, my air bags disconnected under my seat, floorboard full of water and they got in my trunk and stole items I had in there from moving, contacted subaru of America, did nothing...never once in all my years have I been treated this way from any business...you will be very sorry if you take your car there...I look at the grease stains every day in my first new car I ever bought and think about this.... read more

We had an appointment to see a specific car at 10am this morning. The sales guy emailed, called and texted us to confirm our appointment, which we did to all 3. We got a babysitter to come out and see the car to be told that it had sold last night. But then of course no one could be bothered to call us to give a heads up on that. I really should have listened to all of the reviews. Don't go here. It's a waste of your time and gas and everything else. Plus, you'll lose your sanity in trying to work with them. Your blood pressure will rise. It's bad for your health. This place is bad for your health. This dealership's service department is horrendous. Good luck reaching someone at all. If you do, double check that you actually have an appointment. And if you go through that service appointment, make sure you're not leaving with another part of your car broken. I got an oil change here earlier this year. Routine enough. I left and didn't notice until the next day that my odometer stopped working. Fast forward to a few weeks ago. After two days of attempting to reach someone at the Body Shop, I was finally put in touch with someone. She, on the phone when you can actually speak to her, seems nice. However, she needs some help. The body shop is either massively overwhelmed or just lacking in any kind of customer service knowledge. I asked for an appointment on a specific day, to which she confirmed was fine. After a few weeks emailing with subaruvwbody1@gmail.com, I received an email asking for me to call because they lost my number. I'm in the system. This is already shady. I end up playing phone tag for two days with her and never reached her or anyone else because surprise I don't think anyone actually works in the body shop. (Side note, the front desk person seemed very sweet but was not helpful in anything other than offering to have me transferred or to suggest that I leave a voicemail.) I called the morning of the appointment before heading over and was told that I didn't have an appointment with them and she wasn't even there that day. I was transferred to another person, who didn't end up picking up the phone after getting rerouted to the front desk after such a long wait and re-transferred back to her. I can't imagine that this dealership is worth a visit for anything else. Please listen to these reviews and take your business and sanity somewhere else. This is the most frustrating experience I've ever had with anything related to a car. read more

Went in for a new bulb for my headlights. Knew from the get go how overpriced they were. $75 at Subaru vs $10 at Walmart for a replacement. But have been through 4 bulbs in the past year so I thought it might be an electrical problem. Turns out it was not and alot of the year and model I own (2011 Legacy) have the same issue. First off they said it would be an 1 1/2hrs but took 3 hours for some unknown reason. Didn't ask them to check anything else but they wind up telling me that my car is not drivable, even though I drove it there without any issues. Their reason was my radiator hose was leaking and I didn't have any antifreeze in the car. Which is strange because I have not seen any puddles under my car and if your car is out of antifreeze you can generally only get about 500 yards down the road until you start smoking. Which is exactly what happened when I left. So stranded on the side of the road I call Subaru and they tell me they will tow it back and fix it for $350. I preceded to tell them that my car was fine when I took it in to them and they must have tampered with it. The manager got all defensive and rude with me so I hung up. Called a friend who came to check out the problem. He took the radiator hose off and he could tell immediately that the hose had been tampered with. He's a retired engineer from Ford and work for Toyota for many years also so I trusted his judgment. Anyways he ran down to Auto Zone and bought a new hose and some antifreeze and fixed it on the side of the road for $40. Tried to talk to a manager at Subaru again but got the same treatment as before. So looks like I just have to go higher up the ladder. My friend also told me the reason Subaru most likely chose the radiator hose to damage because it was a cheap fix for them but they could get a few hundred dollars profit. $40 vs $350. I will never trust a dealership again. read more

The Service Department at Beechmont Subaru is terrible. The service writer, Rob Harley, favorite comment is "I don't think" or "I try not to think"... and it shows in his customer focus. It probably also is a reflection of the technicians there too. Three trips there for the same problem, $1500 of my money and the car still doesn't run. Despite reassurances from Rob the problem is fixed, it is not. Despite reassurances he'd take care of it if it did it again, he would not. The car wouldn't go more than 24hrs before failing for the same reason. Despite being the experts, these guys are clueless. If you looked up the definition of "Stealership", it probably has Beechmont Subaru's picture in it. They certainly epitomize where that term might have come from. Can you feel the Love? She texted me right before the appt tio make sure I was still coming. After a 45 minute drive there, I was informed every single one had been sold the day before. They oversell you on everything you don't need and do a halfhearted job of providing the necessary maintenance that was included with your vehicle purchase. I have always owned BMWs, but I've always had my eye on Subaru. My first interaction started with chatting online with Abby, who was very nice and professional. On 7/29/15, I walked into Beechmont Subaru, ready to buy an Impreza. I was introduced to salesman Matt Bohan. I HIGHLY recommend Matt, he was excellent. Very nice, accommodating, EXTREMELY patient (I took forever trying to decide which Impreza I wanted, along with possibly considering a Crosstrek). Admit it, we all HATE to hassle with a car dealer. Matt made the experience actually enjoyable. The rest of the team post-sale was just as nice. It's only 3 days later and I miss my 325xi a little bit, but love my Impreza more, thanks to Matt! read more

I had been working with Tom Friesen to purchase a certified pre-owned 2017 Subaru Forester that was on the lot. Immediately I noticed that the air conditioner was not working, even though it has supposedly gone through a 100+ point inspection. Tom said he'd pull it off the lot right away, not let anyone else test drive or look at it, and have the air conditioner fixed in a few days and then we could purchase the car if we so chose. While the car was being fixed, I had a conversation with Tom on the phone about the price. We had not yet agreed on price, he had only told me what the purchase price was. I shared with Tom the research I had done on KBB and Autotrader. He immediately became angry and argumentative and acted like I was crazy for even suggesting we discuss price. I tried to hear his arguments because he did have some good points, but it was difficult because he was so rude in his delivery. The conversation ended with him telling me the dealership might come down a few hundred dollars, that'd he'd speak with the store manager and then call me back. I received a text message not much later saying he was leaving for the day and would be back in the morning. The next morning, instead of following up with me on the price, he sent a text stating that he sold the car to someone else. I contacted the sales manager, Alex Ertel, to express my frustration that Tom never returned our call about price and my disappointment that Tom was dishonest, telling us no one else would have the opportunity to look at the car while it was being repaired. Alex didn't say much, mostly just made thin excuses. It was clear that Tom had only given him half the story, but he wasn't much interested in listening to what I had to say. My husband and I also expressed our disappointment to Tom about the way we were treated. We did not get an apology from anyone at Beechmont Subaru. I will be purchasing a Subaru Forester, but I will not be purchasing from Beechmont Subaru. I will not work with a salesman who gets angry and acts rude for no reason, makes and breaks promises, and acts dishonestly. And I will not work with a company who stands behind their employees behaving in this manner. read more

Had a scheduled oil change here. The first one for my Son's car. I inquired as to "how long" this would take, and was told "about an hour, let's shoot for about an hour". I also inquired about a tire rotation and was informed that it costs $25.99. Needless to say, I will not be back. Oil change / inspection should only take about 15-20 minutes maximum. Pep Boys advertises free tire rotation with the oil change. I'm sure that they will justify it with "we use Certified Subaru oil filters, etc". An oil filter is pretty much an oil filter, so long as it is a quality brand one. This is just not worth the inconvenience. read more

You explain to the sales staff using an excel spread sheet exactly what you want . They tell you they have it and you ask does that include all my options and you are assured it does. A price is agreed upon and then you go to buy the car and it is missing $800 worth of options you agreed upon that they are no longer willing to offer. Felt like classic bait and switch, I walked away form deal. This is a management and dealership problem, sales staff just follow rules. Tired of the hassle. Advice: buyer beware, use a check list and consumer reports. read more

Recently took my 2008 Outback (which I purchased from Beechmont last year for a factory recall on the breaks and to fix my passenger side car door. They insisted on rotating the tires as part of the service which was fine. Two hours later they said that my head gasket was going to blow and I had a ball joint that needed repaired, they had not replaced the sensor in the car door but they would rent me a car for $35 an hour while they did the work. $1780 worth. Something told me, "No, don't do this." And I didn't do it. I am SO glad I didn't. Just got my car (which I love) back from a mechanic who said they were just going to take my money because there is nothing wrong with my car. My mechanic fixed the side passenger door. And I am relieved!!! But so angry they tried to take advantage of me. read more

I went to this dealership to purchase an older used car. They told me the car had been thru their inspection process and was ready to go. I did buy it as a "as is", no warranty car. I went from the dealership straight to my favorite garage where they told me that the vehicle has oil leaks from the valve covers and from the crankshaft seal. In addition, the battery had to be replaced within days of getting it home. I've owned the car for 2 months and it has been in the garage 6 weeks of that time. Yes, the salesmen were very nice and the price seemed pretty fair, but I would never buy another vehicle there based on what I have experienced so far. read more

Just bought a used 2000 Ford Ranger, salesman was Joe Plemen, very professional and straight forward. A little back & forth--due more to my budget than them--no pressure at all. Very transparent with vehicle history & work orders performed, & performed a work order for me no charge & in a timely manner. Very impressed with finance--didn't try to sneak things past me or push gap, warranties, etc., & got me all done quickly, respecting my time. Sales staff handle both new & used, ask for Joe. BAD BUSINESS My wife and I came in Friday the 28th of Dec to look at a 2009 Chrysler 300C we met up with a sales person named Conor Patton, we test drove the car and came back to work a deal for 40 min..we closed out on a sale price and informed him and his manager we would be coming back the next day after we secure our financing at our local credit union. The next morning we got with CU secured what we needed called the salesman and told him we are on our way, 35 min.into driving to the dealership we get a call from Connor telling us there is another couple looking at it! We were only 2 blocks away, we got there and the couple were test driving car, the sales guy said it's out of his control so we got his manager involved. The Manager was not aware we had been in there store the day before and struck a deal, he told Conor that he should have placed a hold on car, the other couple got the car and we were cut out of the deal we had done the day before. So even after purchasing 3 other cars from them in the last 12 years it doesn't make any difference how well you think you know a business they are constantly changing there management and not to be the best for the customers. I'm writing this review to give my salesman a shoutout. If you want to visit this dealership save yourself any heartache and just go straight to Mike Amshoff! He is the only reason why I am giving this place a 5 star. I will not call out my first salesmen by name but lets just say that there is a strong reason why I made the unpopular move of switching salesmen. I was approached by my first salesmen during my impromptu visit. After test driving the vehicle I sat down with my first salesmen to talk about numbers. He pretty much said to me that he wasn't planning on budging on the price of the vehicle. After trying to explain to him how I was uncomfortable with the price he pretty much hurried me out without a flinch. Because of this unpleasant experience I gave myself time to think about whether I really wanted this car. After sleeping on it I went back to the same dealership the next day but this time sat down with Mike. He was so accommodating and we were able to negotiate a price were both happy with. Whereas the first salesmen pretty much told me there's NO ROOM for negotiation, Mike didn't hesitate to work with me. Essentially I got the best car I could find in my budget and didn't feel like I was getting ripped off anywhere else. I walked out of the dealership feeling confident I made the right choice. I loved the vehicle I was getting and was even happier with the friendly service I got. Following my purchase I saw that the tire had a flat after sitting in my parking lot. When I shared this with Mike, he worked with his manager to find ways to get my car in right away. Then he personally came out put on my spare tire for me and worked out a deal so that I could get serviced for my flat tire right away. I was expecting that they were sending out a mechanic to take care of my flat so this was a huge surprise. On any given day I'd imagine I would have been furious that with a new vehicle I had so much trouble....but after experiencing Mike's personal dedication to his customers... I am truly happy I met Mike. Dealing with Mike has made me confident that I've made a good decision coming into the Subaru of Beechmont. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new or used car to make sure to meet with Mike Amshoff!!! read more

I purchased my first "newer" car from here which was a 2010 Altima and my experience was pretty good. Although the sales man was a little pressuring I had driven to the lot to see what they had and knew what I wanted exactly ahead of time but didn't know that they had what I wanted until I walked the lot and found the Altima and asked for a test drive. We test drove and dos the usual hoop-la paperwork after we crunched some numbers and came to an agreement. The perk that I really like about buying from here is the free oil changes for life. My fiancé and I bought another used vehicle from a different dealership but so far I have regretted the service that's been given because they haven't really tried to seal a good relationship with perks like this with free oil changes. Terrible dealership, will never go there again. They flat out lied to me when I bought a used vehicle from them, even putting a fake oil change sticker on the window. The car fax they showed me must have been falsified because when I took it to another dealer, they said that the oil filter was dated 2014 and I bought the car in 2016. I have had nothing but problems since I bought the car and I will be reporting them to the better business bureau. Do not go to this dealership! read more

I go in for a tire rotation and the mechanic inspected the rotors and brakes and said all rotors are in good condition but rear brake pads need to be replaced. I schedule an appointment two days later to replace rear pads and am told it will only take about an hour. After two hours of waiting, I am told my car is ready. Immediately upon getting on the interstate, I have extreme vibration of the steering wheel. I go straight back to Beechmont Subaru and explain the problem. They look at the car and say my front rotors need to be machined and it will cost me $150. Note: Prior to this appointment my Outback ran flawlessly with zero problems. Additionally, two days prior their own mechanic even said my rotors where fine. This was a shakedown pure and simple. Subaru Of America even agreed with me and sent me a $100 credit. That doesn't come close to making up for the entire day missed from work sitting around the dealership or the uncertainty I now feel about my Outback. Bottom Line: This dealership and service dept are to be avoided at all costs. They are not to be trusted. read more

HORRENDOUS! Total cover up! We were looking at buying a 2 year old car with under 20k miles. Saleman mentioned the washer fluid plastic tank had a leak and had to be replaced but was in otherwise great shape. He kept pushing the Carfax on us about how the car was a great opportunity. We couldn't see anything visibly wrong, so we bought it. 5 months later we discover the car had been in HUGE accident and that repair work (i.e. bent support frame in engine, etc) was shoddy cover up. No wonder Carfax was pushed, would only appear if insurance got involved, not if some car dealership did shady cover up work. At least I learned my lesson, trust my instincts when something's not right. Hopefully you learn yours, STAY AWAY FROM BEECHMONT SUBARU!! read more

I purchased a 2006 Sonata for $6,000. The car had been inspected by the dealer and came without a warranty. The air wasn't working well but the conclusion of the dealer was that it just needed recharged, which they did. I believed this conclusion and it was working when I left with the car. I had the car inspected when I got home and found that it had over $1,000 of mechanical problems including a bad head gasket. Two weeks later the AC quit working again and the conclusion was that the compressor was bad (leaking) and needed to be replaced. This involved another major expense. My lesson from this was don't place any value on passing their inspection, don't rely on any representations from this dealer and always have a used car inspected by a third party before you purchase it. This all turned out to be a costly mistake. read more

Looked at several cars at several dealerships. Started to buy 2 at Kings when they went crazy on us(see review there). Went to Beechmont Subaru to look the next day. They had a CrossTrek XV in a color we had not seen before so we were interested. They quoted us a price on the car that was about $750 below that of Kings. The funny part is that the car listed for $900 more. Making a savings of $1650 lower than the competition. They were very professional in all aspects and we got the car we were looking for with all the options we wanted for much less and with no hassles. We love the car and it is getting even better mileage than we anticipated. It handled as well as any SUV we have driven. Wife absolutely loves it! Special thanks to kings Subaru for being such jerks that forced us to look elsewhere and finding the good folks at Beechmont and finding the first ever new car for my wife! We will look there first for our next car. Probably in the next 6 or 7 months!! read more

I want to weigh in on Beechmont, Subaru. I was looking for a nice used vehicle I went there thinking they are a reputable business and wouldn't dare ruin there reputation by selling junk, was I ever wrong! I test drove the vehicle and it seemed ok but I heard a sound coming from the muffler area and mentioned it. I was told it was the front tire rubbing against the fender well due to them not being the right size tire. They claimed they fixed it by trimming a piece out so it wouldn't rub. I am driving 2 days later and here the noise again take it to my mechanic who checked and found out it was the muffler heat shield he also noted that the rotors were pitted and warped on all four wheels something that should have been caught on their so called pre inspection. Total repair cost for muffler and break work was 3,000 dollars. I asked them for assistance for at least the muffler which was $1500. The sales manager Sam who is the invisible man had service offer me $160.00 towards the repair. Tammy from service is the best person they have there for not for her calm demeanor I am not sure what act of violence I may have pulled off. Sam is a true coward he didn't talk to me himself but made others do his dirty work. I will never buy a car from here again and if you know what's good for you stay far away. read more

My son did his research and really wanted an older model Outback. Said they hold up really well, according to what he had been reading. We found one we liked. Purchasing the car was fine, with some high pressure tactics, but not horrible. My issue is with the service dept. Six months/3500 miles after we bought the car, the check engine light came on. After letting them look it over, they came back with $3000+ in repairs that needed to be made. I was astonished to hear that since we just bought it. So I took it to a mechanic that was recommended by a friend and let him know everything Subaru wanted me to do. He looked over everything, and fixed the problem for $140. That's it. Not sure if they are trying to take advantage of a woman or what, but I'll be screaming from the rooftops to anyone who wants to hear it - DO NOT USE THIS DEALERSHIP!!
