I didn't want to go to the other Subaru dealership so I decided to purchase from Beechmont. Although I like my vehicle it was over priced. Price did not match what website said at all. Low online then in person. I put more that half down cash and still much higher payment than online. The sales team don't let you breathe they stand over you even after you ask for so time. The lady in finance was really nice totally recommend her she tell and shows you what the warranty really cover not what you think. Detailed diagrams which really break it down. She was the reason why I went through with the sale. I was on the fence when I went into the office she was the true sales person. Don't get me wrong my salesman was nice but super pushy stood over me even after I asked for some time. I would definitely recommend Subaru but try different locations though. I asked about the Veteran discount was told that there is not really a Veteran's discount but the Subaru website clearly says it is. I have a great credit score and it was very expensive to buy. Lease was 1/5 the price for purchase. The manager was not very flexible with deals either. The deal online are much better than in store. Even though I could have purchased the vehicle cash I chose to finance for continue good credit history to increase my score even more. If we did need to get a vehicle right away I would have gone somewhere else. I was able to buy and take home same day. I am happy with my vehicle but definitely not with the sales pressure not great for sales. Also need to add that I was told that I would not get the little Veteran's discount if I waited to the next day by the manager even though it clearly stated that you do online. It was a really small amount compared to price of vehicle. Subaru has good reviews it is whybI chose Subaru. If I buy in the future another Subaru I think it would probably be another dealership. There was really not much discount at all. Interest rates discounts nor price match what was on the website. The salesman Josh was great and he helped find me a car that was in the price range I could afford. If you want to buy a Subaru I would definitely recommend Josh at Beechmont Subaru. I called about a car I saw on line and I thought it was at Beechmont but Josh told me it was at Kings Automall but he could have it transferred over. After telling him I thought it would be out of my price range and not to bother I thought my dealing with Beechmont was finished. But Josh called me a couple hours later and said he just found out that they would be getting a car that was exactly what I wanted and in my price range. He said it might be a week or two before the car would be ready for purchase. This conversation happened on New Year Eve and they were closed on New Year's Day. I received a call from Josh on January 2 that they had the car back already and were cleaning it up and detailing it and it would be ready later that day. The car was exactly what I was looking for and they had even lowered the price from the day before. After a hour or two I was driving home in the car. Scammers! Rear wheel bearing failed. Charged me full price and said Subaru did not warrant it (they did and Subaru Corp. reimbursed me) . The "mechanic" handed me a bearing that was not a wheel bearing when I asked for the original! Also charged me for unwanted additives (deleted from bill when I told them they were not approved by me) and also deliberately tore the two front "alligator" CV joint boots so they could replace them. The windshield washer pumps failed because some "expert" poured the wrong fluid in them (a liquid wax), both pumps locked-up and had to be replaced. I do not recommend this place. read more

When I did come back to purchase my outback they were just as welcoming and explained to me all my options but I wasn't pressured into buying any additional warranties that I didn't want. The only thing that I wish was different was the air in my tires went low just a couple of days after my purchase and both key fobs batteries also went dead. if I had the option of leaving zero stars for the sales department, i would. purchasing a car from this location has been a nightmare. My husband and I went in a month ago to look a vehicles and found one we liked. we spoke to the sales manager Aaron and were told we could come back the following week to pick up the vehicle as it still needed to pass the Subaru pre owned certification inspection as well as wheels needed new paint, side mirror needed replaced and tires needed replaced. the following week we came back at the scheduled time and immediately saw that nothing had been done. furthermore we were met with " oh I didn't realize you'd be coming in this early." shocking thing to be told when you have an appointment confirmation with said time on it we brought up the state of the car and he proceeded to tell us he had never promised us new tires and that the ones on the car had passed inspection which is wild considering the car is awd and the tires didn't match. we asked him to have his tire guy check again, they came back to us and said two tires were 6 and two were 9 so they would replace the 6's. then came back saying they would replace all 4 because they couldn't find a match. great. fast forward to purchasing the car because at this point we've been told we'll have to bring the car back in a week to get all the above work done. we start on the sale paperwork and the sales guy keeps directing all the paperwork to my husband who in turn keeps telling him it's my car and that I'll be the primary owner, he'll just be the co-owner.they keep telling us it doesn't matter who's name is first, we'll both be on it.great. we go over to the finances department ( the guy who took care of us there, was night and day from the rest of the staff, huge shout out to Travis Himebaugh ( five stars to him). Back to the sales department to get our two working keys ( jk cause I got home and only one key worked). And the sales guy is finishing up the temporary registration and roadside assistance paperwork. He hands it over to sign and we notice that it only has my husband's name on it. We asked what was up with that and the response was "huh weird, I thought I put both on there. Well it doesn't matter, you'll both be on the official title." y'all I am writing to you 4weeks after we purchased the vehicle. I've been driving a loaner for three weeks because my car has been in the shop getting all the work done on it that was supposed to be done the week between us seeing the car and scheduling the date of purchase. Furthermore EVERYTHING is in my husband's name. we received the roadside assistance info and cards and I don't even show up as co- owner. We just got off the phone with Subaru of America customer service and they were incredibly helpful and are working with us to get my name on the car. Extremely disappointed with how the manager and sales person handled our appointment at Beechmont Subaru. According to the sales person, a couple had just test driven the car we were looking at and had walked away (left the dealership) from the car. We test drove the vehicle - which was "available" and were ready to put a full cash offer. That's when the sales person came back and said that the car was already sold and the manager had the keys. The way the situation was handled took us by surprise since we had driven with our two year old to look at this vehicle. Are you telling me that a customer that walked away from the car is more important than someone that was willing to buy it right there? And for full asking price? When we had them replace the oil in our car, one of the mechanics opted to tighten the plug in the oil pan to where it dented. I couldn't get the oil cap off on my own. We called to express our dissatisfaction and were told the cap would be replaced at no cost. They examined it, and then they couldn't even get the cap off themselves! Then we were told that the oil pan needed to be replaced, which would set us back $1200...They have made a mess of things, and they won't make up for it? Instead, we took our car to a more respectable business. This company is not one that I would recommend at all unless you are keen on employing beginners to carry out the work. read more

Misreinstalled air conditioner compressor after engine removed and reinstalled to replace head gaskets which resulted in air conditioned not working. Told me compressor was never removed. Five mechanics including 2 from another Subaru dealership told me compressor had to be dismounted tor remove engine. Told Subaru USA after I filed complaint that engine was never remove despite me seeing engine out of vehicle with my own eyes. When I took it back when air conditioner didn't work first warm day of spring. They noted without telling my that the compressor mounting bracket was missing, and replaced it charging me parts and labor without my authorization. Replaced o rings in ac that midas found causing failure of pressure test and being the wrong size. Invoicefrom beechmont Subaru had different prices for different each o ring, so I wonder it Subaru mixed up the o rings and put them in the wrong places. Took to midas because compressor they installed was still under warrenty. Midas took piety on me by obtaining a new compressor under parts warrenty (which they didn't have to do since it was messed with by another shop), but charged me labor. Also was told by service manager that they did nothing wrong and kicked me out of his office when I told him I was going to complain to Subaru USA and file a consumer complaint with the ohio attorney general's office. Also they took almost a month on two different occasions to complete work. Recommend going somewhere else for repairs. read more

I have purchased 3 vehicles from this dealership. I only bring my cars here for the free oil change. I was told that I needed my valve cover gaskets replaced and they wanted over 600 dollars to do the work. I called around to another dealership and he quoted me around 440 to do the work. I then called 4 other places and they were all around 440. I left a comment on their site on how expensive they were and then a couple of days later I received a call from a manager. He was trying to convince me that the price that I was quoted was correct and that the other places I called were wrong in quoting me 440. By the end, he says that they will do the work for what I was quoted by the other garages. I ended up paying 420 with a first responder discount at Christian brothers. I will not buy another car from them again. I have had good and bad experiences with the people working in the dealership but being called by an arrogant manager telling me that everyone else quotes were wrong and he was right was the final nail in the coffin. read more

I took my forester for an air bag recall. First red flag was when I picked up my car and they said that I needed a $400 major service. I laughed as everything on their list had already been done by my local mechanic. I get in my car and immediately notice that they have somehow covered the mileage reset button with the dashboard trim. I had to go back in to ask them to fix. Which they did in about 10 minutes. Getting ready to leave for the second time and I notice the dashboard trim is popped out. I had to have them pull it in for a second time to fix their mistake. There is no short version of our experience that adequately captures how ridiculously bad our experience was with Beechmont Subaru's service department. From the beginning... We took 2005 Subaru Outback we had bought from Beechmont Subaru years ago in for service to check on a turbocharge replacement done by third party a year prior. We had noticed a faint burning rubber smell over the past four months and I figured a seal was shot or at least improperly seated. Communication was immediately made difficult. A week of phone tag pursued. Each time we called and left a message requesting a quote be emailed to us. Every time they called and left us a useless "call me" voicemail with no additional information while we were at work. Their phones also went down during the week with a Verizon cannot connect message. Finally I got their service department on the phone, and they emailed a quote. They also informed us that the turbo was blown. Really? Blown? We drove the car there just fine and it was literally replaced a year ago. As for the quote, well you be the judge: TURBO BLOWN UP, TURBO REPLACEMENT (INCLUDING RELATED REPAIRS: GASKETS TO TURBO, OIL LINES TO TURBO, INNER COOLER GASKETS, AND OIL PAN PULLED & FLUSHED) IS $2575 + TAX. PCV VALVE CLOGGED, $65 + TAX. OIL COOLER GASKETS LEAKING OIL, $130 + TAX. VALVE COVERS LEAKING OIL, $449 + TAX. TOP & LOWER INTAKE GASKETS LEAKING OIL, $491 + TAX. CAM SEALS LEAKING OIL, RECOMMEND REPLACING TIMING BELT AT SAME TIME, $732 + TAX. FRONT & REAR STRUTS NOISY / NEED REPLACEMENT, ALL STRUTS $1310 + TAX. FRONT CONTROL ARMS NOISY / NEED REPLACEMENT, $755 + TAX. Ridiculous prices well over twice what I would have expected from anywhere else. For the record, there isn't so much as a drop of oil on our driveway which is pretty amazing because based on the quote I'm hard pressed to think of anywhere on the engine they didn't say we were leaking oil from aside from. Most of these parts are $150-$250 OEM (aside from struts and turbo) ... so what is your labor rate again?!? We picked up the car today with the intention to take it just 5.3 miles to another shop we have been fond of for many years. Care to guess how far the car got from Beechmont Subaru? About 600 feet before white smoke poured out the exhaust and into the cabin. We turned around and went back to Beechmont Subaru in a cloud of white smoke so thick that in the 600 foot return trip a police officer started following the car. Back at the service desk, the manager there has the gall to stand his ground that they didn't do anything to the car aside from an oil change and a rust spray coating of a brake pipe (a recall item). Apparently, he was a 17 year veteran in the industry, and it showed with how he protected the dealership from the blatantly apparent situation that our car, dropped off in working order, now wasn't fit to drive. He offered to keep the car overnight and "look it over." Why would we bother losing another day to what is quickly measuring up to be extortion? Now I get that turbos go bad but, again, we just replaced it just a year before... so what happened here? read more

2021 Forester driver window auto button functioning intermittently. 6/15/22. Told service thought it was the control switch. They said oh its probably the "run channel" if it gets wet, so all the fittings around the door/window leak, SERIOUSLY! New channel ordered. Also had to recalibrate "TPMS" as numbers were all over the place. Never in line with my monthly pressure checks. Wait time 46 minutes. 6/23/22 New "run channel" placed. Wait time 2hr.22 min. (good thing I brought a book). 6/24/22 Duh!!! same issue arose with control switch. Guess now they'll order a new control switch. But what do I know I'm only a GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 6/29/22 Check up shows you guessed it new control switch needed. Maybe if they had checked it first time instead of just automatically going with the "run channel" the issue would have been solved. Of course had to order the part. Wait time 1 hr. 9 minutes. 7/12/22 Appt. 8am. car sat in service area entry way for 30 minutes then actually took all of 27 minutes to replace control switch. One thing I noted they offer no "perks" with this lease like a coupon or 2 for a free oil change or maybe a gift card for Kroger/Target. Do not go near this dealer. Especially if you are a female. I have owned many cars over my 50 + yrs. and have changed oil/air filters/blower motor/window washer motor/rotated tires. So when I come across a dealer ship that doesn't listen to customers I start to wonder if they plan to change their attitudes or NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Call it coincidental but I call my experience with Beechmont Subura more along the lines of BAIT-N-SWITCH. Early this week I was scrolling for a Subaru Forester, in which they listed on their website a 2018 Subaru Forester Premium with asking price of $22,260. This was a great price compared to most any other dealers were asking $2k-$3k more than Beechmont. I was repeatedly called, texted and email by various sales people throughout the week of when I could come and test drive this particular vehicle. So on Friday, I made an appointment for 12:30pm for Saturday 9/20/21. At 10:02 am I received a text from a Jesse Storm confirming my appointment. I Text back & specifically (gave the VIN #) to verify the vehicle was available. Jesse Storm confirmed the vehicle was available.So around 11:30 I began my 36 mile drip to the dealership. Then at 12:15pm as I was entering their parking lot I received a text that the car I was coming to test drive had been sold. Again, this may be coincidental, but I still believe this was a ploy to get me into the dealership to sell another higher price vehicle. I drove off thinking I will never buy a car from this dealership. Caveat Emptor!!! read more

We arrived here at 11:15 am, and didn't leave until 5:30 pm, but that was because we looked at a few cars. We were looking at a CPO Outback, and we test drove it, and decided to buy it, but ultimately changed our minds because there were scratches all over the car, a ding, and some cigarette butts in one of the seat pockets. This made me question their CPO process. We ended up changing our minds while signing the finance documents. Our salesperson, William Robles was super patient with us, and he seemed to genuinely care about us going home happy. After exploding the original deal, we looked at a few new ones and decided on a new 2019 Outback 2.5i premium. It was my favorite color (Wilderness Green), or for the guys (green). In the end, it was only like $2500 more to go new, so we justified not paying the sales tax since we had two trade-ins. I thought, incorrectly, that I could put our large down payment on my credit card, but they have a policy of putting no more than $2,000 on credit cards. This was the only thing that irked me because I wanted to get my rewards for travel. William had to follow us home in our old car to collect a check for our down payment. I thought it was weird that they couldn't wait for me to go home and bring back a check since I had no checks with me, it was like they didn't trust me. I felt bad because that was time William could've been making money selling more cars to someone else, but it was insisted upon by the dealership. I can't stress enough how much William Robles went above and beyond the call of duty to not only save us time, but make sure we made the right decision for us. And we got a really good deal on our trade in, and new car as a result. 3/20/19 Update: I recently went in for service to have a factory remote start installed. The customer service was great, and they got me out of there in two hours. My car wasn't damaged, and the waiting area was nice (free sodas and snacks). My issue was that my steering wheel column housing was left loose, and one of the screws wasn't tightened all the way. I noticed the next day when I went to put my key in the ignition that the housing was off, so I grabbed it, and it wobbles back and forth. I tried to fixed it myself scraping my knuckle in the process, but for some reason the column wouldn't snap back together, so I wonder if they broke a tab off in there or something. I don't know how work could be left unfinished like that. I won't be taking it back for them to fix it, but will go to another dealership. Won't be back to this dealership for service. read more

My son bought a used car from these crooks and they sold him an extended warranty to go with it. The part they neglected to tell him was that the car had aftermarket parts installed that voided the warranty. Well guess what, now there is a problem and the insurance company won't pay for it. What is Beechmont's answer... sorry we will just refund what you paid for the warranty. An amount that doesn't even cover 1/4 of the cost to fix the car. Oh and he's lost for the remaining 2 years of his warranty. The good news is that he took photo's of the car in their lot before he purchased it, and in one of the photos you can see the part the insurance adjuster says is aftermarket. Let's see what the judge says about this one. They will end up paying more in lost business and legal fees than this repair would have cost them. read more

Stop! Don't even think about it! If the inkling strikes you to somehow visit Beechmont Subaru for the purposes of either buying a car or visiting the service center, then make your way into your garage, grab the nearest hammer and commence hitting yourself in the face no less than five times. Even if you happen to knock out one or two of your front teeth, I guarantee the pain you feel will be far less than the pain inflicted by dealing with these incapable jamokes. However, if you're really into self-torture and are a bit on the masochistic side, then there's little doubt this dealership is right up your alley. There are too many complaints to list, but I will say that everyone I've ever dealt with at Beechmont is extremely rude with the exception of my sales guy Joe. And the only thing the guys in the service center excel at is being extremely incompetent and uncommunicative. I first bought my Outback as a demo, which by law can be sold as "new" as long as mileage is maintained under 10,000 miles. In many cases dealers are willing to give you a little bit of a break on these types of cars because it's slightly used, but not Beechmont. Doing competitive price analysis for "total new" after the fact, I discovered my price was virtually the exact same cost. I know Subarus hold there value really well, but come on. However, my biggest gripe is with the service center. Multiple trips over the last year for routine maintenance or to fix seemingly easy problems, but they can never seem to get it right. They only look the car over for minutes at most and diagnosis nothing. My most recent service visit was due to my brakes intermittently locking up, which started occurring two weeks earlier right after my 7,500 mile tire rotation and oil change. Took them minutes to come back and tell me that there was nothing wrong. The car is still not right, but I'm resigned to the fact I need to take it elsewhere. I'm still a pretty big fan of Subaru cars, but beyond fed up dealing with this particular dealership. They just don't seem to fit the overall Subaru ethos! read more

I go to this car dealership to get my oil changed. Normally, I have a great experience there. It takes a while to go all the way out to Anderson, and it takes a while for them to change my oil, but they always treat my car extremely well, and it never costs me a cent. They're on top of all required maintenance and tell me when I need my tires rotated or brakes checked. They are not friendly, but they are extremely professional and efficient. And they have a relatively nice waiting room with free (not delicious, but FREE) coffee and tea. Overall, I've gotten good work done in their waiting room while my car is worked on, and been wholly satisfied. Until last week. An appointment that was supposed to take one hour took two, and I was really irritated that no one bothered to come tell me it would be twice as long as I'd originally been quoted. As a result, I missed another meeting. This will not keep me from going back, but in future, I will be careful to check on timing and ask them to notify me if my car will be longer than 45 minutes. read more

Most people I know are excited at the prospect of having a new car. Nobody I know looks forward to the process of narrowing the choices available, negotiating price, locating the exact model chosen, and finally, buying a new car. But, Subaru of Beechmont was a real pleasure to deal with on both a personal and professional level, from the first time I walked onto their lot, until the moment when I drove away in my new 2014 Forester. My partner throughout the process was David Clarke, a salesman with many years experience. David was incredibly responsive to every phone call, text or email from me, even on his day's off! The price negotiation was swift, fair and truthful - with no surprises at any point. Once I chose the exact model and options I wanted, the final step was finding me that vehicle. The fastest option was a vehicle which would arrive in about a week. Suddenly, the 2001 car I was driving had unexpected transmission problems! Since my Subaru was due to be delivered in about a week, I rented a car to get to and from work. As happens, my new Subaru was going to be delayed for a couple of days, and when the Sales Manager, Bill heard I was driving a rental, he offered me a loaner to drive for a day or two, because of the slight delay! Wow! I researched my purchase over many months, and chose the Forester over several similar competitors, due mainly to my test drives, but also the many positive reviews. I have not used the Service Dept. at Subaru of Beechmont yet. But, I can wholeheartedly recommend David Clarke and Subaru of Beechmont if you want to experience car buying the way you hope it should be. read more

I will never go back there for another car, Dealers are dimwits. Said they checked everything and cleaned it out thoroughly. They did not. The glove compartment was full (including tampons). Part of the trunk was a mess. The previous owner did not leave a manual nor could they get me one, I also could not be given a second key. Now I had to buy 3 new tires because they already dry rotted after 7 months. So much for me trusting car salesmen!!! read more

Two years ago, I went here for my new Subaru Forester, they were disinterested in my business and offered a very low price for my trade in (Toyato V8 tundra), so I went to Kings automall Subaru. They were great, interested in my business and gave me a good trade value, so I bought from them. Today, I needed some body work done on my 2019 Forester (someone had keyed it!), so I phoned Beechmont Subaru and they gave me endless reasons why they were not interested in fixing my car (including they did not like to accept State Farm insurance), so I went to a State Farm recommended body shop (Marks Auto Body on Seymour ave), they are terrific. How Beechmont Subaru stays in business amazes me. (Guys, this is America in the 21 century, people expect politeness and service. !!!) read more

This place is honestly horrible. Had two used cars that I was ready to buy. They sent me emails all morning pre approved me. When I called and asked what my next steps were they said: Come in, See car, sign paper work and leave with new vehicle. The first thing they had me do was switch my insurance over to the vehicle I was prepared to buy. Then the salesman came back and said I needed to show proof of income from the last 30 days. I was in a car accident and have not been cleared to work yet but told them I could show them the last 8 months of my bank statements prior to December that I would be working again in January. Told them I even had drs note showing I was approved to go back to work. I get that the financing and loaning isn't on them. But they told me I was already approved. I left, and when I called insurance to remove the vehicle I didn't buy. They charged me 40$. They do everything backwards here and it is a giant waste of time. The used car manager is a jerk not easy to work with at all. Go somewhere else. read more
