I asked some of the residents how they liked it and they all were happy. Looking forward to my mom moving in.

I was also told that having to be assisted with incontinentence, being fed and assisted with drinking would not be an issue, as they can assist with all levels of care. WELL, they lied. Less than 48 hrs later, my husband is in the local emergency room because of a fall and his behavior. They allowed my husband to fall AT LEAST 3 times, hitting his head. They did not administer meds for at least 18 hrs after we got there. Of the two nights my husband was there, both nights, I text the nurses phone for a status on him. There was never a response. The staff to resident ratio is appx 3 caregivers to 42 residents. I spoke with the head of the facility, we agreed that he care required more than they could provide and the contract was cancelled. I asked them to do me a favor, and tell future potential families, that unless your dementia diagnoised loved one is walking and talking, this is NOT THE PLACE FOR THEM. If they can pretty much function, it may be a different story. However, this was not our experience.

The nursing staff are very friendly. Facility is clean. The the medical care is lacking. I have had…read morethree friends there. They lack communication with family. They violated HIPPA. They accused people visitors of things with no evidence and denied grand children and children from seeing their parents. Based on hearsay. One man was in there 6 months before they got him glasses or saw a neurologist. When family tried to help by taking to see his already established neurologist they told the family that they can't do that. They put the loved one on meds without informing family. This affected him poorly but it was weeks before they changed it. The family had to call to inquire what was happening. The loved one claimed he fell 2-3 times and called for help and he sat on the floor for hours before someone came to help him. The rooms are made for one patient but the make a bed against the wall in the entry of the rooms for a second person. The facility is aged. They misdiagnosed one of my friends and she almost died. They didn't catch her cancer either. I hope that I am never put in a facility like that. Oh, and just to add to the issues. A friend was told he'd be paid to do Karaoke with the patients and play music for events. He's done this 3 times, and it's been 4 months and they haven't paid him. They say "his service is not a priority." It's very sad how unprofessional this place is. 2

KNIVES BEING USED! BRUISING! SORES! UNATTENDED! LEFT SOILED! Absolutely not! COMPLETELY…read moreUNACCEPTABLE! My grandfather was left unattended in a wheelchair and fell out of it. For how long you ask? No idea! He was left unattended by the staff for too long. Where is the care!? His fall risk bands were cut off WITH A SWITCH BLADE. He shakes, twitches and has ticks- a switch blade is extremely unsafe,  and unprofessional! We spoke to Amanda and the Coordinator of Medicare and their response was filled with lies as they proceeded to gaslight us, push the blame onto my very elderly grandfather- who was put into the extra care wing because he is unable to do things for himself anymore. But it's his fault for falling, for not cleaning his mouth and not changing himself? He has been unable to care for himself and our family turned to them to provide the care he needed. They took off his precaution bands because they "allow their residents to fall at their own risk".  Who says their residents aren't falling more frequently than whats reported?Where is the accountability! My grandfather has been in a hospital bed for five months, he is unable to support himself in a wheelchair! He was given a small one at that! They don't have the proper equipment, proper care and supplies to make him comfortable or even properly care for their residents. The build up in his mouth and around his lips were due to lack of proper cleaning and care. His whole groin and buttocks are covered in sores due to not being changed ! They let him sit soiled for hours! HE WAS ONLY THERE FOR A WEEK AND NEEDED TO BE ADMITTED BACK TO THE HOSPITAL FOR HOW QUICK HIS HEALTH DECLINED DUE TO THEIR NEGLIGENCE! DO. NOT. TRUST. THEM. This is not the first grandparent to be left with so much evidence of NEGLECT! Files were reported before and another one is submitted ! This "care" facility needs to be shut down before more of our elderly family is put at risk.
