It has the right amount of garlic, which is a LOT). When I open the box (when I get it to go) you can smell it from 50 ft away. The garlic is freshly grated and the oil isn't drizzled on top but doused (which I also love; seriously there is so much oil that in the to go container it sloshed around but thankfully doesn't leak through). The vibe is also very laid back. This can be a pro or a con depending on how busy it is. If they are busy and you are looking for a fast meal and multiple refills of your soda you aren't likely to be happy. If you are looking for a place to spend and hour or more hanging out with friends drinking a couple of beers and eating good pizza you will love this place. I've been to Spedellis in both circumstances multiple times and it's way more enjoyable when having the time to sit and enjoy it. The reason for 1 less star than max is the slowish service when fast would be nice and also their chicken wings appetizer. As much love as I give to the garlic knots...the chicken wings I do not recommend. They are small, you don't get many, and they are drastically overpriced. So we gave it a try, AND SO GLAD WE DID!! I've only given 4 reviews in my life, but this place deserves a great review; THE PIZZA IS AMAZING!! And the service was top notch! We placed order via phone, and the guy was thorough about answering my questions and making sure he had everything correct, and making sure we got napkins, plates, cheese and pepper flakes if we needed, when I came to pick up. Super kind and very attentive, what service in great eateries is suppose to be like! We got two pizzas, and flavors in both were delicious! It tasted like everything was FRESH, down to the spices --my 9yr old even noticed a spice/herb leaf and asked what it was because "it tastes good". The crust is PERFECTLY DONE, no doughy middle, and not overcooked. It was perfect in both our pizzas. it tastes like pizza crust you'd get in an Italian pizza oven in Europe. It tasted super fresh. I really want to know what flour was used, as it didn't make my son's blood sugar spike (type 1 diabetic) like other pizzas do.
