This is an amateur brewer's paradise; they have all the basics required to set up your own home brewing operation, whether you are interested in beer or wine. The premises are rather spartan, but they are very friendly and knowledgeable; in addition, they offer HOME BREWING CLASSES and guides - which would make a perfect gift for at least a few people I know and probably a few you know too. Just like they do at their Pinellas Park location, they offer starter kits, recipes and advice.

Outstanding performance from the staff, they are always helpful and you can take classes. They are more then will to get the grains for you or you can get then your self.

Fermentation Process, The owner and her daughter walked me through every step of the way to make my homemade wine.

As someone who has wanted to get into home brew, this was a great first steps class The store is well-stocked with everything a beginner needs plus plenty of grains, hops, etc for those a bit more experienced. We opted for the beginners kit, some sanitizer, 2 boxes of bottles, and a "brewers best pale ale kit". This all ran us about $140. The $20 we paid for the class (2 of us) was credited to our purchase. Overall, a really great friendly place for if you're new. I am assuming they have a good selection for experienced brewers but since I am just starting out I can't speak to that. Excited to begin brewing soon and I will be patronizing Vetterbrew for my needs for the foreseeable future!

It is located in a small building on US 41 near Land O'Lakes. I thought it was cool that Central Pasco had their own independent home brewing store but I figured it wouldn't be a place I would visit because I'm not a beer drinker. I am, however, a kombucha drinker. And when I decided to keg and force carbonate my own "buch", Afford-a-Brew became just the type of place I needed. As I was working through the process of kegging, I ran into some issues. I Googled what went wrong and thought I needed some pieces so I paid a visit to Afford-a-Brew. I explained my situation and setup to the employee and he said that it sounded like I really didn't need any pieces. He thought I had everything I needed already at home. He talked me through the issue I was having and I left the shop without buying anything. I appreciated that Afford-a-Brew could've sold me a lot of stuff I didn't need but they didn't. So when my CO2 tank leaked out and I really did need some components, I didn't hesitate to head back to Afford-a-Brew. This time I walked out with a full CO2 tank and some keg gel in case I had another leaking issue. I also, again, was provided guidance about what to look for to find the leak. Even more than the CO2 tank, gel and advice was the encouragement the man working the counter offered me. He could sense my frustration and he told me "Don't worry about it. It happens to everyone. Even big time beer places with people who know what they are doing lose carbonation some times." So, while Afford-a-Brew is definitely a great place to visit for all the home brewing accessories that someone might need, it is the information and encouragement they provided that really made this business a five star one.

This location offers a huge variety of wines made right on-site, with unique flavors like key lime, peach, strawberry, passion fruit, and more. Their Hurricane wine is their bestseller and for good reason. I did the tasting flight with 4 flavors for $17, and it was a great way to sample different wines. They also offer complimentary tastings, wine slushies, flavorful spreads, and cute trinkets throughout the shop. There's even a cozy lounge area in the back where you can relax and enjoy your drinks. The customer service was excellent, and the staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about all the wines. I make it a point to stop by every time I'm in the area. I decided to purchase some of the orange Creamsicle wine slushy mix to take home and make orange Creamsicle mocktails and received some of the cute little wine bottle greeting cards. They also have military discount.
