Schrodinger's Drink: both ordered and never made, simultaneously…read more Our waiter announced last call, took two drink orders, brought one drink, charged us for both, then refused to make the second because "he wants to go home". This was 8:33pm. He took the order. He rang it up. The drink existed on our bill but apparently not in this dimension. When we pointed this out, he held the line like an HOA president at an emergency meeting about fence height. This did not have stakes. I have never watched someone be so confidently wrong about something so profoundly stupid. A true masterclass in choosing your hill, dying on it, and somehow being proud of the whole thing.

The place was super lively and honestly pretty packed during my visit on a week night. The lounge itself is on the smaller side, but cozy. I like the concept, there are wire racks on the wall and each table has a little wooden game board on top (mine was Chinese checkers), such a cute touch and makes the place feel a bit more interactive. Their signature cocktail menu has a lot of options, but since it was our first time, we asked the bartender for a recommendation. He suggested "Meet Me In Pearis" since we wanted something vodka-based. The drink took about 10-15 minutes to come out, which felt a bit long, but it looked like he was the only one working, serving two big parties plus a few tables, so I get it. Service overall was still good and he was nice the whole time. For the drink... honestly, it didn't really wow me. Both the flavor and presentation were pretty underwhelming. It kind of tasted like a glass of sangria to me. I guess with "Artisanal" in the name, I was expecting something a little more unique or elevated. Overall, great location, nice vibes, and I like the interior concept. Service was solid too. Just wish the drink matched the same level. Probably wouldn't come back, but glad I got to check it off my list.

We started with the Crispy Cauliflower, coated with tempura batter and served with lemon aioli; Roasted Brussels Sprouts, topped with chili flakes & Parmesan and served in a cast iron skillet; and the Hummus, topped with Pepitas and served with thin, crispy parm'd pizza bread. The Chopped Kale Salad came with apple, radish, carrot, cotija, and Pepitas, all tossed in a tangy pomegranate vinaigrette; and the Chickpea Salad also had a base of kale topped with chickpeas, roasted sweet potato/carrot, and charred halloumi, and dressed with herbed pesto. The highlight of the menu was their creative pizzas, which you could order either on a thin, crispy Neapolitan crust, or on a thick, soft, square-shaped Detroit-style base with crispy baked cheese edges. The Fun Guy came with porcini cream, mushroom, onion, goat cheese, and pecorino; and the Hail Mary came with beer braised chicken, caramelized onion, cotija, garlic, and Calabrian chili oil, which gave the pizza a flavorful spicy kick. Overall, my favorite items were the Hummus with aromatic pizza bread; and the tantalizingly spicy Detroit-style Hail Mary, but everything was tasty and came at a good value and with quick service too!

I highly recommend the inferno bites, I dream of those crunchy little things with a slight jalapeño kick and a nice sweet chili sauce to blend it all together. Great little hotdog place with beer on tap... I ordered:…read moreThe Mac Dog (3.5 stars, $12.22) with mustard added and a side of fries ($2.60) The hotdog was your average packaged all beef dog, no skin or snap. The bun was a decent size to hold everything, but a little too much bread. The American cheese was standard quality, thin but melts well with the heat of the dog. All the toppings were fresh (Lettuce, Tomato, Diced Onions, Pickle Spear). I think the lettuce isn't needed, I'll skip that next time. The Bacon Bits are fresh made good quality smoked bacon, decent size cut, good stuff. The Yum Yum Sauce is their secret sauce, but it was very light and I didn't notice the flavor that much. I assume it is a mayo and paprika based with other spices, not sure. Maybe I'll order on the side next time. The fries are decent restaurant quality, the kind that has a coating of potatoe flour to give some extra texture and crunch, served hot. I think they fry them fresh for the order, nice touch! Raspberry lemonade (min bottle simply company) it was decent, nothing special. Until next time...
