It was my first visit here at this family-owned establishment in San Ramon. Parking was easy for us today and there are multiple superchargers in front as well. We were pleasantly welcomed by Jeff. Just an amazing kind, patient and helpful person who guided us in extraordinary detail with what he is able to offer our family. He was very attentive and prompt with needs. We were excited that there were two rounded-corner booths. Many tv's on the wall to watch your favorite sports or shows. This is a pristine clean and well organized restaurant. We first received our drinks very promptly. I loved the recommended local beer. It paired very nicely with the recommended pizza from Jeff. My kids loved the appetizers so much that they barely left me any to try. The ranch sauce was also a perfect dipping sauce. Pairfield pizza & Pints is the Bay Area's hidden gem. Come on Russian River, hook them up with some Pliny already. That said, the double IPA they had paired perfectly with the pizza. The kids also ordered dessert, banana bread with ice cream, and it must have been good because there was none left for me to try. We ended up chatting with the owner, which was a nice touch. There's a bar and cash register, a few tables, some standard booths, and three round booths for larger parties. And most surprisingly, a private room for events! We shared a pizza and took home a few slices for leftovers- the Italian Job (no olives). There's a chewy, doughy crust with a cornmeal-heavy, crisp bottom. This is not thin crust pizza, but it is mouth-scraping crispy...if that makes sense. Toppings taste fresh and I especially liked the sausage. Well I haven't been here in a couple years and it was much better. The Italian job pizza was great. My complaints are price. The preplanned pizza recipes are priced ok but to make your own is too high. 2.00/3.00 per topping makes diy pizzas more per topping than the preplanned. And to charge 2.00 for a tiny cup of red sauce or ranch is wrong. Especially since we were upselled without telling us there was a charge. It felt dishonest. read more

All of their pizzas are one size and if you choose the build your own pizza, they have two sauce options that are vegan and one vegan cheese option. And then you can put as many veggies on it as you like. The people who work here are super Duper nice and will answer all of your questions and they also have gluten-free options. Our server and all the staff were amazingly friendly and attentive. Our server recommended a pizza of her own creation that was terrific! Here it is: House, cheese, blend, roasted garlic, cream, mushrooms, basil, artichokes -- she'd recommended sausage but we wanted vegetarian. And she chose some terrific flavors for my flight of beer. We each got build-your-own salads, and they were not bad, but I can't say I recommend them. They were simply shredded lettuce with pizza toppings mixed in, and a scant amount of dressing somewhere in there. I've never had a salad like this at any restaurant. And the salad price was super high for what we each got in terms of portion and standard salad quality. Finally got here under the new name and assumably management. It's vastly improved! The place was really busy due to a corporate party going on in the back room, but the staff handled it all well. We first approached the counter to order but were pleasantly surprised that when we announced we were dining in, the counter attendant invited us to take a seat and he'd come and take our order at the table. Wow! Table service! Very nice! Our salad came quickly and was very good. We did a custom-topping pizza which was a nice size for a family of four and it came in proper time and piping hot.
