Grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries
    Kerry F.

I met a friend here for a belated birthday dinner. I arrived first and was impressed on how large of a space they have. It was a sunny day and all of the windows are full of sunshine, which was nice but a little warm. We seated in a booth and was impressed by the wide array of happy hour items as well as an extensive menu. Our server was friendly if not overly attentive. Our food came out fast. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and upgraded to sweet potato fries and my friend got one of their seasonal offerings, a bowl with sweet potato, quinoa and other autumn veggies. The food was good. Grilled chicken is not particularly exciting, but it was done well. The sweet potatoes were a little disappointing. They were Not hot or crispy and did not get finished a little disappointing, especially when you pay to upgrade.

This place was great. I got the "pick two" for $12.99 special. I chose a crispy chicken sandwich and a cherried goat salad. Both were great and plentiful..........I had to take half home with me. Service was good. I will be back.

Servers were super attentive and sweet! Place is clean and has a great vibe. Bar seating, tables and booths are options and plentiful. There's a private room in the back as well. Food was hot & fresh! The flavors of the fig chicken were surprisingly amazing - the fig with the goat cheese and the balsamic glaze worked really well together.

I've been here before for lunch, and it's been great. I think the key is not go during a busy weekend. We went for dinner on a Saturday in May with several college graduations happening. I had made a reservation weeks prior. Upon arriving, the line was out the door. We waited for 10-15 minutes before getting up to the hostess stand. The hostess admitted that the manager made them take all walk-ins even though they had many reservations that night so they were behind. We were seated approximately 20 minutes after our reservation. It was an hour and a half later that we got our food, and we ordered soon after sitting. Our server was frazzled. My asparagus was charred black. Boneless wings were dry. My walleye was delicious. The perch was also good.

Lots to choose from, all freshly made.

Amazing food, Great Service, huge portions and wonderful atmosphere. Had the Perch sandwich, wife had the perch dinner, and my son had the fried chicken sandwich (that he said was as big as his head, and he was right) Each came with a mountain of fresh cut fries that were so delicious. However wonderful the food is, my biggest compliments are to our cheery, professional server named Taren. She went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. The big question we should ask ourselves, why not eat here instead of the chick-filet next door?! It's only a few dollars more, and actually probably cheaper because of the massive servings given -and probably just as fast!

I really wanted to love this place! It's in a decent location right next to the Woodland mall and has ample parking. The inside is pretty cute; it has a lot of natural lighting. When I went, it was later and not super busy. Despite this, our server was very slow with getting to us for drinks and our food order wasn't taken for at least 30 minutes. We didn't end up getting our food until 50 minutes into our time there. Once the food did come, it was good! The beer cheese wasn't my favorite, but that's only because I'm a cheese snob! Everything else was delicious. Regardless, I'd go back to give it another try I think.

    Orange chicken??

The food is sofa king good and quality. The drink menu could use more rotations, but the bartenders are amazing!

Pesto Grilled Cheese with French onion soup
    Kaylee L.

The French onion soup was pretty good, but the pesto grilled cheese was the star of the show! The bread, a multigrain sourdough, was some of the freshest I've ever had. It is topped with provolone and Amish MI jack, as well as spinach, pepita (pumpkin seed) pesto, and tomato. I felt that the portions were great for the price! The service wasn't the quickest, but it was lunch hour so it was understandable.

Not pictured was the pretzel bites...it's been three weeks and I still dream about the dang pretzels with the perfect mustard and the heavenly cheese sauce. Like I should've gotten four orders of it or asked to take an order to go. Many regrets but highly recommend this place. The service was super quick, everything was delicious. I got the bang bang chicken sandwich and it might look like a hot mess (I accidentally cut the sandwich prior to taking the photo), but beware that it will make you want to devour it as quickly as possible. I would've liked the salad to be in a bowl or less lettuce as I felt like the lettuce was getting all over the place. The atmosphere was very pleasant.

If you remember Arnies they are owed by the same people and some of their favorites are on the menu such as the riviera salad. We don't wait long even though it was busy. A bit noisy at first but got less noisy as people left. Decent food. Would eat here again.

We had such a great lunch at Beer City Bread! We stopped in and sat at the bar. The bartender was really nice and helpful. I loved my salad and my husband really loved the bang bang chicken pizza! He also really enjoyed his drink, which I believe was seasonal and may have been called Hocus Pocus. We will definitely be back next time we visit Grand Rapids!

Table bread. This is table bread.

Beer City took me and my friends in one warm summer night and treated us... well, no, I treated them to an evening out. But we all celebrated being at this nice tasty place. In order: * Beer: Good variety. A lot of locals on tap, prices are reasonable. They were out of the raspberry ale my friend wanted, but that happens. * City: Feels a bit steely inside. They went for modern but it's a combination of lighting and decor, open kitchen... in the end I'm not a big fan of the ambiance. Service was fine, nothing special there. * Bread: There's a reason they are named for the bread. It's incredible. My friend requested the table bread, since it's by request only, and we got plenty of the delicious cheese bread that is a starter. You want this. Request as much as they'll give you, and then keep requesting. The other foods were OK - hot honey was a bit on the breaded side and the fries were thin, resulting in them becoming oily and overdone. Fresh, sure. Overall solid, I think the table bread sets the bar a little too high for the rest of the experience.

Coming from someone who loves a hoppy IPA and an amber, they combined my two worlds into one. So, it was a natural easy love. For my next, I went with their "Blinky's Black IPA" which was good but got more a weak porter feel than IPA. Like I said, it was good and I'd drink it again but with that expectation. FOOD: I went with an olive burger with be try fresh and real ingredients. The burger itself was full of flavor; add the rest of it and it was phenomenal. If I had to complain about something, I could have used a touch more olive sauce. Now the egg roll... I went with the "Guava the Hutt". I'll just say, I ordered two to go in hopes I can resurrect them in the air fryer later. The back half of the building is a pickleball area and the front half is the brewery and restaurant. Very cool look as they have a few shipping containers as sitting areas. Plenty of seating where I didn't feel jammed in. Also, a few arcade games. The service was friendly but know that it is minimal as you will order from the QR code at your table and order drinks at the bar. Definitely worth checking out and plan on returning.

We split the sliders and the pierogis. The sliders were prepared perfectly. Grilled onions were excellent. Soft buns. The pierogis were a fusion. Elite Elote. I wished I lived near this place I would be a regular. Thanks for a good time.
