I'm surprised I've never written a review for Beer Creek with how many times I've been there. This is one of my absolute favorite spots to go out for pizza and beer. The patio here is incredible, extremely comfortable, and spacious. They recently put in a kids play area too. The pizza here is always spectacular, as well as the wings and the beer is great too. My friends and I love to plan outings here and hopefully it becomes more regular. Service is always great and everyone is always so friendly. Cheese bread is good too, my kids have enjoyed the spaghetti several times. They have weekly specials these days and sometimes live music. read more

Saw a lot of recommendations for the cheesecake, so I went just for that cheesecake. It IS as good as people say! The chile cuts through the richness of the cream cheese, so every bite is as delicious as the last. It's also lighter in texture (not dense), which I'm really into. read more

A Hidden Gem! Super great spot to pop in when we are driving, the pretty way, from Albuquerque through Madrid on the way to Santa Fe! The Reuben was excellent and the Pilsner I had was delicious! Seems like a nothing looking place on the outside, but the atmosphere on the inside is very enjoyable! We had great service and enjoyed chatting with our server! Even though you are supposed to order at the bar we got there at an off time and they were happy to wait on our table for us. I am looking forward to going back again soon! read more

Combo Pizza, ...check! Buffalo Chicken Wings, ...check! Success, ...check! Made a call-in order for a full order of Buffalo Wings and a Beer Creek Bonanza Supreme 16" pie. Both were excellent...pizza was loaded with toppings, cheese, sauce on great crust. The crust was not greasy, lightly charred, and substantial enough to hold up for the ride home. The wings were very meaty (the bartender said they were "the big ones!), crispy but not overcooked, and perfectly sauced with spicy Buffalo traditional taste! Accompaniments of celery, carrots, ranch and Bleu cheese dressing made these 8.8/10. Great job! The bartender was friendly and prompt when I showed up. She even chatted me up about their new beer selections and trivia night. The guitar duo playing in the main restaurant sounded like a lot of fun...I'll definitely be back! Way to go, local joint! We were running errands in Santa Fe and decided to make the short trip to check out Beer Creek Brewing. I've had their beers at beers festivals and a few places that had it on tap; however, I've never been to the actual brewery. I'm so glad we made the trip. It is located in the east mountains and is an easy trip from Albuquerque or Santa Fe. They have so much seating, indoor and outdoor. There is no bad seating. We had honey bbq wings and pizza with venison sausage, red onions, and mushrooms. The food was delicious and came out quickly. The service was wonderful. This a great place if you're looking for a quick escape from the city. I highly recommend Beer Creek Brewing. read more

This is such a great sleeper surprise. It's off the beaten path south of Santa Fe. They have a great beer selection and also wine. The menu isn't huge, but it's solid. Their pizza is some of the best in the area. They have an amazing patio, and the employees are super nice and welcoming. Do yourself a favor and go try this place. read more

We didn't have food but all the beers we tried were excellent! Our favorite was the Porter. It's a cool vibe. We got there as soon as they opened so it was quiet but we enjoyed their outdoor patio. Very nice! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We look forward to visiting again when we're in town. read more

Beers are good - but probably the worst service of the over 100 breweries I have been to. Ordered four samplers, two of which were identical, and each had one specific beer on it. The beertender started pouring and she clearly got confused, and made a complete mess of which beers were on which paddle. Tried to help her out but she insisted she had them right. Pointed out how she had the dark beers in the wrong position but she claimed to be correct. What made it incredibly bad was when she learned the one beer across all paddles was "out" and said we had to substitute. The other beertender told her to just substitute the Blonde, which two paddles already had. So when we looked at the beer list to find new ones, the second beertender told us, in a really rude and unpleasant manner, that we had to make a decision now since they had other customers. I turned around and one person was behind us. We are not from the area so will never return - but heads up to everyone on expecting some bad service from the bartenders. read more

Not sure how the food was because we never received our pizza or sandwich but the manager was the worst! She expected me to tone it down two hours later waiting for my food to arrive, which never did! She didn't have the integrity to comp my beer or salad since she didn't put the order through as our party of 9 had already eaten. This review is for the food only, not the beer. We ordered a large Greek salad, Buffalo wings, and a large sausage pizza. The Greek salad would have been good, but the spring mix had some gross bits in it. It was definitely because some of the mix was old, so there were mushy pieces. Again, if the spring mix was fresh, it would have been a really great salad. I wish I had a better review for the pizza. It honestly was nothing special and I wouldn't order pizza here again. My husband, who really loves pizza, said he would rather just go get a pizza from Sam's club in town. The buffalo chicken wings were fine. I think they could have been crispier. The brewery itself is really cool. I wish the food had been better because I really like that they have foosball and other games. It seems like a really cool place to hang out. read more

During our recent visit to Los Cerrillos, we learned Beer Creek was the closest place open on a Sunday, so we took a short drive. It would be worth driving much farther, if necessary. There is plenty of parking, which is a good thing, as this is a popular place. We got there a bit early and had plenty of choices for seating. An hour later, the place was packed. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, their pizzas are worth the visit. The beer selection should make everyone happy. We will visit again, next time we are nearby. read more

Some fresh opinion here~ let's set the record straight I've lived by the Gold Mine in Cerrillos for 25 years and I think this is by far the best food you can get without driving ALL the way into Santa Fe I always get the same thing ... The Ranch Hand Pizza And occasionally some beer (amazing!!) This pizza is not a "convenient compromise" like some gas station pizza. It's AMAZING!!!!!! We just ordered tonight. Hot. Fresh. And FULL of incredible ingredients including Venison Sausage (Yaaa they killed a deer for you !) As far as this "racial profiling" that other Yelpers mentioned ... I call BS ! I see the typical mix of Santa Fe people enjoying the amazing courtyard Yaaa. White .. Mexican .. Spanish. All are included and welcome from what I saw !! It's hard to explain why Santa Fe people just get along with others. No matter what "race" they are Anyway. Matt .. is a great guy. I've met him twice. Great atmosphere (5-star), good beer and cider (5-star), mediocre sandwiches (2-star). The enclosed patio has a fair number of tables spread out under the trees - a delightful atmosphere, where you can sit and enjoy a beer or cider. I recommend getting finger food and avoiding the sandwiches ... lots of folks got pizza, but we didn't, so I don't know how they are. One orders at the bar - the wait-staff is friendly and efficient, whether pulling a flight of ales or entering a kitchen order for food. You then get a number, and the food is delivered to your table. We got two sandwiches - the Wyatt (vegetarian) and the General (nominally roast beef). What a disappointment. The Wyatt was on thick rye, and had been grilled - the bread was so greasy we ate the bland vegetables out from the inside and stopped eating the bread. The General was nominally a roast beef sandwich with horse-radish. What comes to mind is thin-sliced rare roast beef, with horse radish and other fixings. No, that's not what you get. The slices of roast beef are grilled - so brown they look like the char on a burger. And because they're all grilled (or fried?), they are greasy (each slice separately cooked). While the roll was fine, and the condiments pretty standard, the core of the sandwich was completely unappealing. We also got chips (a small bag of standard potato chips) with one sandwich, and a side Caesar salad with the other. Romaine and croutons and slices of parmesan or pecorino sounds good - but the dressing was so unlike a real Caesar dressing that this salad would be better described as a house salad made out of romaine lettuce. It wasn't great. So visit for the atmosphere and the beer, maybe try the pizza (don't know whether it's good or not), but avoid the sandwiches. read more

A friend recommended this place so we took the really pretty drive out to check it out. The patio is very chill we loved the relaxing vibe and watching the gorgeous sunset. The beer is really good and the servers are friendly. The food was good.we had the garlic wings,Tasty. The pizza was really good as well. The only problem was the flies outside I don't think that the establishment is at fault they have fly fans but the flies were definitely an issue and worth mentioning. We will go again I'm sure. Stopped here to pick up some pizzas to bring to my Aunt's house down the street. My girls had been here before and said the ambiance is really cool, which is true under the cottonwoods in the patio area. Got a Get to the Hoppa IPA as we waited for a cheese pizza and The Goddess, which was a Vegetarian pizza with savory Alfredo sauce spread liberally over your choice of dough with hand shredded Mozzarella, baby spinach, artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, Kalamata olives, Feta cheese, and fresh chopped garlic. Everything is order at a counter, no table service. The bartender handed me a menu and asked if I was ready to order. i'm not that fast a reader. They had just one IPA which was meh. The pizza, which apparently they are known for, was terrible. The crust was burnt and black and the bottom tasted like cardboard. The parm and red pepper come in takeout packets. The outside seating area was nice but we will not be going back. read more

Pretty good experience here. Their patio is killer! Amazing ambience and views. We're tourists here and we're pretty confused as to what to do when you walk in. You walk in around back and go to the bar to order drinks and food. They'll give you a number and you take it to your table. The beer was pretty good, we had the stout and the lager. For food we tried the miners stew with green chiles which was delicious! I would go here again just for the stew. Then we got the bonanza pizza to split. It was fast but it didn't come with any meat on it. Since you pay for your food ahead of time at the bar, and there aren't really any servers that come around to check on you, we couldn't really do anything about it. Food was great, I think service was slightly lacking. Worth a try though! read more

The guys and I got the waves together and jumped on the motorcycles to ride up to Madrid and specifically go to Bear Creek brewery for lunch. We got there a little early but we went right in and they were very accommodating. We got our beers and ordered our food And the beers were very good. When the food arrived, it was very good as well! Our server was very nice, and she was very accommodating with a smile! There was one person, however, that was just simply rude. I don't know his name but he's wearing a red shirt on the Saturday that we went there. My wife went up and asked about the various salad dressings and what would go best with the type of salad that she had ordered. very sarcastically, he listed off the, "standard dressings" that they had. When he brought beers or food to the table, we would say thank you and he said nothing at all. He just walked away with a scowl on his face. Then, when the bill came, we filled it out and then provided a tip. Of course, it's our own fault for not reading the notes on the bill which identified that they have an automatic gratuity. if I recall correctly, the gratuity is 20%. I don't know about you, but I think it's kind of shitty that they add a gratuity. In my opinion, if you have to add automatic gratuity, and there's something wrong with the service, making it a requirement to get a tip. just the same, this wasn't the first time that I've been to bear creek. Every other time was a pleasurable experience. We will go back and try again, but I'm hoping that red shirt guy either cleans up his attitude or finds another job. read more

we read that Beer Creek Brewing Company had a interesting cheesecake. So recently we went there for an afternoon lunch. As it turns out, it wasn't very busy so we had our choice of where to sit on a very cold afternoon. To order, we had to place our order at the bar and selected to share, one of their Hoagie sandwiches, a large pizza so we could take some home, a home brewed root beer and what we came here for, a piece of green chili cheesecake. As it turns out, the sandwich was perfectly made and delicious. The root beer was very tasty and refreshing. The Pizza, turned out to one of the tastiest Pizza we have ever had and the Cheesecake was extremely tasty with a Carmel/apple sauce and was so good, we ordered 2 more pieces to take home. We were totally satisfied and impressed with the flavor, freshness and quality of the food we had. The waitress/bar tender was a perfect hostess which will for sure, bring us back here again. read more
