We walked to this place and although they said they would be open at 12:00 - they were not. This was not posted anywhere and we had walked some ways. It seems to be a chronic issue with places in Santa Fe. It's one thing to be closed it's another to not let anyone know. read more

A friend of mine and I decided to meet here to eat and have a couple beers before going to a concert later that night. I've heard from multiple people how good the burgers are at Bang Bite, so I was excited. I ordered the OMG, which has pulled pork and green chile BBQ sauce. At first I was a little surprised it was $19, but when I received the order I saw it came with fries and was absolutely delicious. Now I understand the price point. Would definitely come back and try other menu offerings. read more

Food was tasty! Fries were particularly good, definitely recommend them. Had to take away a star for price point/value and...listen...putting mayo on a Cubano and then not allowing modifications like removing said mayo is completely criminal. Totally get the hassle of mods, but why we putting mayo on that? Overall, would recommend grabbing a bite from them at least once (and then ordering the fries moving forward) when chilling with your beer or cider outside at the nextdoor brewery. read more

This place is huge! So come with as many people as you want (everyone or no one). The service was good and pretty quick. They have 2 sizes on their burgers which is nice for those who want a smaller portion. Their burger was nice and juicy. read more

I was craving a burger & fries and saw this food truck was within walking distance of my motel. It's behind the Brakeroom (didn't visit but seemed cool). I ordered the Ooh Papi burger & the regular fries to go. The food was ready quickly. I allllmost wish I had eaten at the tables outside because the atmosphere was super chill & laid back. A few people with their dogs. I really loved my burger, sweet & savory & the perfect size. The fries were delicious. Hot & crispy & a generous portion. Loved this place. The #2 (green chile) cheeseburger was delicious. But the fish and chips are off the carts, maybe the best F&C in the city. Only available Friday and Saturday, don't miss this dish. The green beans that come with the fish and chips are fantastic. The chef was so friendly, the food came quickly, and it was lovely sitting in the patio of Santa Fe Brewery with drinks from there. Fantastic experience and food; we will return as I hear the Chicken sandwich isn't to be missed. Came back and had the chicken sandwich (san's the spicy sauce) and it was to die for. $16! Biggest waste of money in my life; the hamburger was barely bigger than my hand, and it fell apart. Do not go. My hand is barely 5 inches long. It tasted awful too. It was smaller than a child's burger at Burger King. And 15 minutes? Really? I was the only customer. The pictures in these reviews look accurate--- but in no way was what I served even close. It's been over 5 years since they have won awards and sadly, the food shows why. read more

Finally had a chance to try this place and it did not disappoint. I had the Fish & Chips and the one piece portion of fish was very good size and the batter was nice & light and it Tasted really good and it came with Fries which could of had a little more seasoning/taste for my liking.....I will definitely go back and as for the complaints about price....as the saying goes, you get what you pay for when it comes to quality & taste..... read more

The green chili cheeseburger is nothing less than a religious experience. Enjoyed it with hot fries and a hazy IPA sitting outside on a lovely Santa Fe summer evening at the Break Room, to which I rode with my wife on our bikes. Topped it off with a scoop of salted chocolate ice cream at La Lecheria in the Railyard. Life doesn't get much better. read more

I've had a few different items from Bang Bite and each of them has been delicious. Without a doubt, my favorite was the Bite Burger (chile blend, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, jalapeño mayo), which was a total explosion of flavor. The staff have been friendly each time, and my orders have been correct. I appreciate how they give you a buzzer when you place your order so you'll know when it's ready, even if you're not within hearing distance of the food truck. I docked one star for value. The food is very good, but, in my opinion, the burgers are much too small for the prices being charged. read more

Enrique, the owner, does a great job with his food truck. His food is really good and he uses packaging that is not so bad for the environment - almost all paper. The packaging waste is why I usually stay away from food trucks but I feel just fine eating at Bang Bite and am always satisfied with the food. It's delicious. It's located behind Santa Fe Brewery's Brake Room so it's great to have a beer (or two) and some fish and chips or a delicious fried chicken sandwich. I don't eat beef but hear the burgers are great and his fries are the best around. read more

Quite simply the best burger I have ever had. The bacon, green chile, barbecue burger was out of this world; cooked perfectly, and with just the right amount of slow burn heat from the mild green chiles. The accompanying fries were hot and seasoned perfectly. I can't recommend this place highly enough. The outside seating with a cold beer from the adjoining brewery just makes for a perfect afternoon. The best fish sandwich & fries I've had in SF. Asked the owner about the fish sandwich to which he replied 'it's f%#%ing good!!' Well, I ordered it and ate it and agree with him. It was beyond delicious on toasted bread and the fries were perfect. I really hesitated to review the place because I don't want it to get too crowded! :) Friends had burgers and didn't talk until after it was all gone in 3 minutes. Amazing place. read more

Seriously delicious! We were slightly apprehensive when we saw it was a food truck behind the tap room, but I'm so glad we stuck with it! One of the best burgers that I've had in a long time, and the fries were delicious too. I'm already craving another meal there! It took maybe 10-15mins for our buzzer to light up indicating our food was ready, but that was just enough time to grab a beer and find a table. My only downside was figuring out how to open the door (pull) with hands full of food, but a kind stranger helped with that immediately. Not an issue if you're eating outside. I'd highly recommend, give it a try! read more

I'm in Santa Fe three times a year for work and this place is one I make sure to hit up every time. Great people working in the truck and some of the best burgers and sandwiches I've had anywhere. My photos don't do it justice, but I couldn't wait to set them up, we just wanted to dig in. I was talking to some locals in the Santa Fe brewery Brake Room (whose lot Bang Bite is in) and they say they always send their out of town friends here. So my first experience at Bang Bite was exceptional. Edit: as has every one since! It's a fave! I have to say that the menu is incredibly enticing, and it's very rare that I will buy an $11 sandwich. Now that said... This is the kind of sandwich that I would spend good money to buy a lot of days of the week. For one, it is so packed with meat, that it would last me three meals. For two, oh my Goddess... The food is good! Hubby got the pulled pork and I got the Cuban. Both were melt-in-your-mouth good and came with ridiculously good french fries. A-plus. All the way. Great lunch today at bang bite. We had the green Chile cheese burger and the fried chicken sandwich, both I recommend. Amazing time with the girlfriend as we caught some sun before a light snow fell. The goodness continued with our server Mitzi, who should be teaching graduate classes in hospitality in every big city. My wife chose the vegetarian tasting menu and I had some of each dish: so very flavorful (a green salad with pears, a life-changing mushroom bisque [and I don't like mushrooms!], a chickpea croquette with pickled artichoke hearts and ratatouille, and a substitution of the lemon crepe for three yummy scoops of sorbet and gelato. I chose the scallops, perfectly cooked and moist, over couscous, and a dish of tasty sauteed baby spinach. A wonderful experience, and not overpriced, and everyone treated us sweetly. First was a split plate of the endive smoked duck salad with a warm bacon vinegarette. Wow...this was nice and refreshing. I miss foie gras. Unfortunately, it's banned in California. They had a 2023 Sea Smoke "Ten"Pi ot Noir on the wine list. This is one of the best Pinot Noirs produced in California and not easy to find. This was a no doubter and we ordered a bottle to pair with our entrees. My wife ordered their signature elk tenderloin for redemption because the restaurant the night before failed at executing this. I ordered the tomahawk pork chop. This was cooked to perfection with a nice thin crust on the outside and a perfect very light pink juicy center. We ordered a side of brocolini that was pan roasted with shallots and butter. Everything was very good and Michelin grade in our opinion. Lastly we ended the evening and split the tiramasu type of desert. Both were perfectly cooked, served hot, and resulted in another visit of what we expected from Palacio - great food and friendly service in what had quickly become our favorite Santa Fe restaurant.

I love food. I'm an avid eater and I'd consider myself to have a halfway decent palate. I am rarely inspired to write a food review but after eating at Bang Bite I feel compelled. If you're considering going there, stop reading this and go now. I'd absolutely love to eat my way around their menu but I sadly don't live in Santa Fe. My opinions may seem to be exaggerated given that I'm writing about a burger and grilled cheese sandwich from a food truck, but I assure you that I came by them honestly. Their food is simple and perfectly prepared. The excellent ingredients, soulfully smart dishes, and expert preparation made this one of my best eating experiences in a long time. The grilled cheese: I forget what the name was (Grilled Cheese Thing #3?) but it was awesome. Swiss, cheddar, excellent seasonal tomato, and green chilis on house (truck?) made bread. It was grilled an idyllic golden brown and lovingly anointed with butter. I inhaled this sandwich. I think I'm overusing the word perfect in this write up, but that thing was perfect. The ratios of all the ingredients were spot on. I wouldn't want any more or any less green chili and tomato. Everything combined to a surreal sandwich experience. The burger: We had the #7. I have no idea what it was because the owner just handed it to our party to try. In addition to a ridiculously juicy burger patty and fresh roll, it was topped with bacon, an excellent mild bleu cheese, and maple syrup. I was curious about the combo but probably wouldn't have ordered it. I should have ordered it. This burger works on so many levels. The earthy sweetness of the syrup melds with the bleu cheese. The excellent quality of the actual burger didn't get steamrolled by the more complex mix of flavorful toppings. It was a thing of beauty. If I were alone I may have cried. Go to Bang Bite.
