I've been to this location the last two months. Amya was great! I have to say her service is pretty exceptional, I got a very detailed and precise wax. She was fun to talk to and made the experience flawless and comfortable. She was also able to provide tips on aftercare. The bathroom was clean, the salon was clean and inviting, my phone was dying and I was so happy to see that the room had a charging station! My first experience here was a good one. I'm not going to say amazing because I did get waxed and it hurts lol. Melissa was fantastic. She was so gentle and explained everything step by step. Not that I can say I loved it....I mean, consider what they do to you here!! :D That being said, this is a group of professionals who provide excellent service, and are more than happy to answer all of your (my) needy questions. My wax-master was Lucky - totally amazing. She was meticulous and thoughtful. I really appreciated that she didn't forget I was an actual person and not just a client. Having my under arms waxed (for the first time) was a pretty anxious experience, and Lucky did a great job being sensitive and not making it weird. They have great products to help with skin sensitivity too - that was my biggest concern, and Lucky made sure my service catered to that. I decided to get a Brazilian wax before I head to the beach next week, and it was my first time. I was watching YouTube and Tiktok videos and was panicking about how painful it would be. I cannot stress to you guys enough- it is SO MUCH BETTER than you would expect. Melissa was my cerologist and she could not have been more professional or comforting. The majority was honestly pain free, with the exception of a few strips, but the pain went away immediately. I have used the same person for almost 10 years. For reason of my own I decided to try someplace different. I received an eyebrow/lip wax, eyelash tint and a Brazilian wax. It was an outstanding experience and amazing service. My technician asked questions about my frequency and patterns and was so professional. Also, the wax was soft and less painful than I have experienced in years. The true test will be to see if the waxing service lasts as long as with my other person. I was sad to hear that she is moving to CO but the front desk Manager gave me the name of two other technicians who she felt would be a comparable fit. I will definitely go back! read more

Ive tried a few other waxing salons in the area but continue to come back to this location. The staff are very friendly and are always there to answer any questions you may have. I always see Lucky for my monthly Brazilian wax. She's very professional and takes pride in her work. If you've never had this type of service I guarantee you'll be very comfortable with Lucky as your cerologist. With the onset of the pandemic I see that the Waxing The City franchise has implemented great social distancing measures. All appointments are required to call and check in before they are allowed to enter into the salon and now they have an E check in option available through their app. All cerologists wear masks during your appointment and all clients are required to wear masks as well. read more

I was excited to try out Wax The City and so glad they fit me in last minute. The front desk was great, however, the waxer did not seem experienced and used very small strips over and over repeatedly in the same spots causing lots of pain and irritation. When leaving I just assumed I would not return, but once I got home I was very upset to find multiple lumps on wax left over that I had to remove myself. This, in my opinion is unacceptable. I have been waxed in three different states, with three different companies and this is by far the BEST. I have been getting waxed since 2017 and those wax pulls never get easier but somehow Melissa made it such a pleasant experience. I am almost 8 months postpartum and even the slightest amount of pain can get me into tears, but with Melissa's vibe & knowledge I was pretty distracted. I have adjusted review due to the quality of customer service. I will give them another try with a different operator. I came here specifically because they have hard wax. I loved European Wax Center when it was in McKinney because of the hard wax. It hurts way less than the kind they rip off with a strip. I went twice and I had to tell the girl to make my eyebrows even and to get all the little hairs that are hard to see but still there. I felt comfortable, my girl was extremely nice even when I was awkward, and we had such a great chat while she waxed. I was sad to find pieces of wax stuck to me when I got home and there are spots where the hair wasn't actually removed. I liked the atmosphere, so I am going to try another worker.
