Came in here with my mom after a hike and the juices were so nice and fresh! Exactly what we needed. However, the service was definitely lacking. We walked in smiling and said hello, but weren't acknowledged at all. I totally understand having a bad day, but even after she finished the order ahead of us, she just stood at the register and didn't look at us or say "give me a second." It was a lot of awkward silence until she finally asked what we wanted. I was craving a smoothie to start my day and when I found beets & berries on Yelp and saw their great reviews I knew I had to try. Staff was helpful and friendly answering any questions or concerns. Location was small and parking was limited since it's located in a small shopping center but I was able to find a spot right in the front door. My boyfriend also got a yummy Acai bowl that was pack full of fresh ingredients and good benefits for the mind, body, and soul. I'm all about supporting small business however since I recently stopped by the quality of the acai bowl isn't the same. I ordered the og with fresh berries, almond butter and coconut flakes. The fruit is fresh and all the ingredients however the acai consistency is more of a smoothie and not thick like their acai used to be. Why she blended it idk but it turned it into soup. And at $12 for this isn't worth it imo. The smoothie however is blended great and has lots of flavor. They did remove the make your own smoothie off the menu, so you're limited to what you'd want. They also offer fresh juices as well. Service was good, however the sign on the door was misleading "sorry we missed you, be back soon". I've been dying to try this place. I recently found it on Instagram. I was surprised to learn from the worker that it's been there 3 years...only changed ownership in January. I liked my bowl. I agree with the reviews in that it was a bit runny. I had planned on relaxing and eating it inside since it was the Friday evening of a very long week, but there's no tables. There are about 3 tiny stools in front of the windows. Despite the runniness, it has a great taste. The only drawback was the sunflower seeds tasted stale. Those need replacing. My boyfriend and I went to try this place out for the first time after seeing many positive reviews. It's very small but cute however you can tell that the worker is struggling with making all the orders considering there's only 2 workers and only ones preparing the orders which must be so stressful. The açaí bowl itself tasted good however the consistency was so soupy it was spilling out of the bowl while I was walking out and for the price I'm paying I shouldn't be having that issue. The guy who made my bowls always made it with love. Only one time I went, the lady working just kinda threw it together. I did let the manager know. Their bowls are really good. The consistency of the acai blend was perfect. The portion is generous, plenty to share with my toddler who repeatedly asked for more. This place rivals Harvest Bar in Sherman Oaks, whom I dearly missed when we moved to SCV. So happy to have a great acai bowl place within walking distance!
