This is a cool spot, but it kinda hard to find. You have to go behind most of the other restaurants to a tiny bagel place in the back left stall. They are cheap and delicious bagels. I think a dozen was like $12.50 last I saw. Try their bagel sandwiches because they are delicious, have a variety of flavor combinations, and they are only like $6. I like their southwest "chipotle" pepper on an everything cheese, but that's just me. This is one of those safe bet places you should low key support on "small business Saturday" if you're a local. Decent bagels and service. Not sure if I would go out of my way to come again, but it was okay for a quick bite to eat. There was only one person serving everyone and the food prep area definitely needed some attention. Lots of crumbs and pretty dirty. We ordered the chipotle breakfast and the honey mustard chicken salad with bacon. Chicken was kind of rubbery but still edible. The chipotle breakfast sandwich was a little better. I also had the french vanilla iced coffee which had good flavor but was very watery. Bagels themselves are good though. read more

Stop by here this morning on a whim. I got a jalapeño bagel toasted with jalapeño cream cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato open faced there's only one guy behind the counter. He was very polite and nice. We had about five people in line and he was pretty quick on getting the bagels out I took mine to eat there on the little patio area that needed a sweeping, but it was a beautiful morning. My only issue would be that the tomatoes on one half of my bagel was definitely not fresh and very, very mushy with a strange taste. Other than that the bagel itself was delicious. The cream cheese was fresh and the service was good right down the street from my house closer then Western bagel will definitely be coming back. read more

I was very disappointed with this place. I ordered half a dozen bagels 2 of which were not specialty. The cashier seemed to either be racist or just overcharged me for no reason. The menu said $1.10 per bagel and add 40 cents for speciality. He inputted $1.50 for all of them at first then charged me $2 per bagel. I ordered 2 to go and they put both the bottoms in one container and both the tops in the other container, which I didn't realize and ended up with two burnt bottoms in my container. The service was awful. Lady was preparing sandwiches to what appeared was an online order. Three sets of customers walked in and none of us got a good morning or be right with you or hey I have an order and will be with you in 20 minutes. We waited over 9 minutes before we had to engage her at which point she said she needed 10 more minutes. We all know she knows better. But she was probably upset and was taking it out on the customers. To management. Please address this. I'll be back one more time and I hope that this is still not a present issue we must have to deal with. By the way this is not a new customer. I'm a fan on how soft the chew the bagels have here (reminds me a lot of a soft pretzel). Have to eat the bagels while they're fresh though because after a couple of days they get stale really fast. Taste-wise, just okay-ish. The blueberry bagel has a disappointing subtle flavor to it. The blazin' chipotle turkey bagel sandwich tastes very standard grocery-deli-tier but, hey, still could be a convenient thing to grab for something filling. Lox and cream cheese bagel is pretty solid; decent portion of lox and is New-York-esque with the thick slab of cream cheese spread. Props to the very friendly and patient staff crew here. A few parking spots right out front of this place; most customers just come by and pick up bagels so it shouldn't be too difficult to find a parking spot. read more

I went to pick up two Baker's Dozen for a movie crew I had been working with and decided to get them a treat for Friday Aug. 8th. I swung into this establishment and the young lady who worked the counter was totally pleasant and knowledgeable on their products and quickly filled 2 boxes. We spoke briefly on women's sports (since she was wearing a soccer shirt) and was amazing at her job. As a previous business owner, she was the kind of person you want running the front counter. My boyfriend grew up in canyon country and has been talking about this place for a while but we never quite make it to their hours when we're in the area. We finally made it one Sunday for a roadtrip breakfast pickup. He ordered a BB Breakfast Stack on an everything cheese bagel and I ordered an Egg Sausage and Cheese breakfast sandwich as well. The wait is a bit long given that it's such a small place with a small staff but it really is a delicious breakfast sandwich spot in the area. Much better than the dry bagels at say, yum yum donuts, or something. I do wish the hashbrowns were a bit crunchier and less greasy but other than that, no complaints! Our bagels were delicious. FOOD: You get to pick your bagel, of a large assortment. - Lox Spread Bagel ($9.25): Got it on an everything bagel, as recommended by one of the gals. Decent serving of smoked salmon. Tomato was refreshing. Capers are a bit salty, so I got it without. The bagel is a beast all on its own, but then add cheese, egg whites, and bacon, and it transforms into a bonafide sloppy bacon bit joe.
