Do not schedule an appointment unless you have time to kill. Appointments can be delayed but you won't know ahead of time or even know if she's aware that you're in the lobby. Not a place to get an injection on a work break. I can get better service and results elsewhere. read more

I am happy with the service and the level of professionalism I received. I had bought a series of 3 laser genesis sessions when they were running a special back in March and decided to purchase 3 additional sessions after I finished the first series. So far so good. I was actually in the market for a profractional but dreaded the downtime. I could have opted for a lighter profractional treatment but that's s waste of money and technology. In my opinion, the laser genesis does not offer the same level of intensity as the profractional. It's like a light version of profractional (you don't go as deep into the dermis with the genesis) which was exactly what I was looking for. Just a little boost in collagen production, get rid of a few broken capillaries and sun/age spots. From a cost perspective, 6 laser genesis is equivalent to the price of one profractional. Please note prices vary depending on clinic and geography. Hence I'm making the long drive from Minneapolis just to get my yearly laser fix. They also offer evening appointments a few nights a week to accommodate those who cant get in during the day. read more

So, I ran across this super deal from Living Social and decided to check out the laser hair removal treatments at MedSpa. It's a bit of a jaunt from the northern burbs, but well worth it. Treatments are fairly fast (about 20 min), and they do a good job of keeping you comfortable as they zap away all of those stray hairs. So what's the glitch? Glad you asked! In order to be bodaciously bare it takes about six sessions, spread out every six weeks - but it's well worth the time and trouble compared to shaving. Angela, (the owner), was unbelievably rude and arrogant. I booked an appt to get restylane and dysport. A friend of mine told me about a Groupon offer, so I decided to go ahead with my purchase. I called and left a vmail and Angela called me back. She offered to book my appt the following day and said she could squeeze me in at 10:15am. They don't open until 11am so I thought, great! How nice of her! I called her the following morning at 10:10 and told her I apologized but was in traffic but would be there a few minutes late and didn't want her to think I was a no show. Her tone changed from that point on. As I walked in the door, my phone rang and it was Angela. I was at the 10 min mark exactly. I apologized and was immediately told that she had to cancel. I told her I could fill out the paperwork afterwards and that I was very familiar with the procedures and apologized for the traffic which is out of my control and asked if I could get one of them done today since I had driven all the way out there. She very hesitantly and snidely responded with "I guess we could do the botox." I filled out the paperwork in about 3 minutes and she said she still had to enter all of my information into the computer. She took her time and did just that. At this point, we still had a solid 25 mins till they even opened. We went into the room and she said it would be $250 for 20 units of Botox. (I was just doing my crows feet) I then said I had a groupon for dysport which she rudely responded and said I should've told her that before. Again, I apologized but when we spoke, she asked nothing other then my name and if the booking time would work. There were a couple times I was talking to her while there, and she flat out ignored me entirely. I felt awkward and super uncomfortable. I opened up my Groupon app and due to being in the building, had slower then usual service...as in it took less then a minute to pop up. She said "people never have issues with service here", and "If you can't pull it up, then you're screwed". Her words verbatim. I bit my tongue at this point thinking I probably shouldn't say anything rude to a woman that's about to put a needle near my eyes. I also didn't know I could cancel a Groupon purchase until speaking to a friend afterwards or I would've walked right out of there. I couldn't believe how rude and unprofessional this woman was. I was literally dumbfounded with her entire demeanor. She did the injections and before I had even gotten out of the chair she said, "So your filler's a Groupon too?" I should've left the moment I walked in there but as previously stated, didn't know I could get a refund on Groupon until after I'd left. And that was exactly what I did with the remaining $400 lip filler I had already purchased. I was out of there a good 15 mins before the clinic was even scheduled to be opened. Which from my previous lip injections experiences, would've given her plenty of time to complete. Never have I ever dealt with an injector, or owner of a business for that matter, as disrespectful and rude as her. Her professionalism, respect to clients and customer satisfaction is severely lacking. For me, I'll spend my money elsewhere and make sure people are aware of my horrible experience there. Trust the negative reviews on here and give yourself a better experience. I wish I had read these reviews earlier. read more

I rarely write reviews, but after experiencing the professionals at Begin With Your Skin, I felt I owed it to Angela and her staff. As a man, I was very apprehensive about using this type of service, but years of sun made it a necessity. They calmed my nerves, answered my questions, and delivered more than they promised. There were a few spas in my neighborhood so I called all of them to see which to pick. I chose this one because I could tell from that original call that I wasn't being rushed. I purchased the laser Genesis on Groupon and she said it was a great procedure to get my skin looking better, a friend in the business said the same thing. She said 3 wouldn't do a whole lot, 6 was definitely needed. I asked about the cost of 3 more since the Groupon was $250, I was worried if I wanted/needed more that I would have to shell out a lot more for not huge results. She said we could sit down and talk pricing to make sure everyone was happy. After my last appointment and seeing small results, I asked about the price of 3 more and she said $500! That's double what I paid first, I get it was a Groupon price, but this is a laser, not product. I worked in a MedSpa for 3 years and know a bit about cost (lasers leave some wiggle room on pricing) - I left a message asking to compromise on a price and she never returned my call. I feel like a wasn't a valued customer and that she didn't care to make an effort to get me back. Unfortunately, because I do a lot of non surgical procedures each year. I had had laser wax removal before, and it NEVER hurt this much. It was... UNBEARABLE. I was able to muffle my screams through the first 2 treatments of brazilian bikini, and at the third one, I said, this is ridiculous, keep the money, I'm outta here (it was a Living Social or Groupon, can't remember which, so yes, I had to forfeit the rest of it). They blamed it on me being super sensitive. I asked around later on and other laser treatment people told me they probably have a VERY, VERY old machine, and I tend to agree with that. I have had laser treatment on the brazilian area afterwards, and it was a walk in the park in comparison. So, I'm never going back there, thanks. read more

I arrived 8 minutes late after driving through 40 minutes of traffic. I was turned away with a cold tone, and I was told that even if I had been only a minute or two late, I would have been turned away because appointments take exactly 30 minutes and are scheduled literally back to back. Five minutes later, the microdermabrasion lady who was supposed to work on me emerged with another client (clearly had I been on time, it would not have matter). Still turned away. Owner and receptionist were both rude, uncompassionate, and seem disconnected from customer service. Arrive on time, or it's a huge waste of your time! read more

Years ago, I think I had a groupon for hair removal at Begin with your skin. So I must be in their system. Starting last week, out of the blue "Angela" from Begin with your Skin has been calling me every few days looking to "reschedule" our appt. I told her she had the wrong number, that it definitely was not me. Then she started telling me about her medical woes, and when should we set up the next appt. I am writing a review because as I was waiting for my appointment here I searched reviews just for fun. I was surprised to see the negative review and that person said hair removal hurt. I am now on my 3rd area and I don't think it hurts at all. I have had great results and have referred 3 co workers to this place already. And I've also had Juvaderm in my lips.
