I have had two children receive Early Infant Program Services from Cal Peds through the regional…read morecenter. Our first experience our child had two teachers Mrs. Monique and Mrs. Alicia. Our first child thrived through receiving Services from these two amazing teachers. Mrs. Alicia eventually worked with our child and by the time our son aged out he had made so much progress it was amazing. The bar was set so high for us that we had expected the Services our son received as the standard. Fast forward a couple years and our other son soon qualified for Services. Although there was no space for our son with Cal Peds, we had another known company provide services and the difference of services was staggering. We were so unsatisfied with the other company that I had to ask our case worker again of Cal Peds had any availability. Fortunately they did and we were pleasantly surprised that Mrs. Alicia helped do the intake and meet Ms. Justeen who was our 2nd child's instructor, and she too did not disappoint. Ms. Justeen helped our youngest really come out of his shell and built trust with him allowing him to really show his potential. Seeing our kids grow so much in such a short amount of time with these wonderful instructors has been such a blessing. We cannot praise these instructors enough and we highly recommend Cal Peds for the Early Infant Intervention Program. Will only offer with ABA therapy come October. So sad this new owner doesn't care about the impact he will cause on families and how it will affect the children. There are clients that have been here for 10 years and will now be displaced because they decided to remove Speech and OT. I would call this greedy and irresponsible and careless. Shame on him!

Prior to him attending Helping Hands, he was saying his ABCs and 123s but not correctly. He's been non verbal basically and still can't put a sentence together, but now he started saying mom and dad because of this program. They work with him and use different methods and tactics, and also positive reinforcements, that I honestly need to work on. They communicate with me daily to let me know his progress and how I can also help him at home. I'm very happy with this program and the amazing people who put in the time to help these kids thrive and I'm so glad I found them.

I take my daughter here for ABA therapy and Social Skills. As a first time parent, a registered…read morenurse, and as my daughter's advocate, I researched a lot and compared which is the best facility for my daughter. Choosing Holding Hands over other facilities is the best decision I have made. Everything is clean ( including their restrooms) Toys are sanitized and well organized. Everyone is friendly and warm. One more thing I love about this facility is that they LISTEN. It is very important to me that people will listen to my concerns, and even if I dont say it, they will give suggestions and inform me of what I need to know, they are able to adjust to and accomodate my requests to meet the needs of my daughter and they were able to resolve issues professionally in a timely manner. Our BCBA Michelle and Janise are very smart, competent and knowledgeable, my daughter's therapist, Angela, is very professional, efficient and dedicated to her work. All of them have been very supportive, understanding and patient, I cant thank them enough for everything they have done. My daughter is hyperactive and runs away from me, she refused to hold my hand or sit still when needed, thats why its hard for me to take her out in public places by myself, its always been a struggle, but she has changed so much just a few weeks of her session, I will never forget the day I was able to take my daughter with me as I run errands, she walked next to me holding my hand. We were able to overcome elopement challenges because of their help. I have learned so much from them and appreciate everyone in this facility.

Of course finding out that your child may be on the spectrum can be a very sensitive topic but Mayra spoke with me with so much empathy, I truly appreciate it. I highly recommend her services!
