Pretty decent buffet in Stockton. It is located in a strip mall area with a large parking lot. We were a large group going to a late lunch on a Saturday and did not have to wait for seating. There is a variety of Asian food, including sushi, some American food and Mongolian grill. Drinks were included which is nice as some buffets charge extra for drinks. Service was good. I'm with my crew and we're on our way to Las Vegas, all packed up with 5 in a big Suburban SUV. After meeting up with them in the Sacramento area, we needed some lunch. One thing I know feeding this crew is a buffet works out well, cause everybody gets what they like. I located Beijing Buffet on the GPS and off the 5 freeway we go. It's not exactly right off the freeway, so you gotta travel a little ways. It's inside the Stonecreek Village Shopping Center. Plenty of parking. We got seated just fine. Service is typical Chinese buffet, they clear the dishes and fill the drinks but not much else. The price for lunch is around $20 per person including tax and a little tip. The place is a decent size and they're plenty of food to choose from. They have a Mongolian Grill option as well as lots of sushi to pick from. Lots of standard Chinese dishes and some not so standard that I had no idea what it was. Plenty of decent food for my crew to pick from. We all got our fill and I got my fave chicken wings and ribs, so I'm happy too. I don't know if I'd return unless I was right in the neighborhood for some reason, it's a bit far off the freeway. It is definitely worth it to get the "Dinner price" to get the crab legs! If you pay for the Lunch option, it doesn't include the crab legs. Their sushi their is also pretty good. I go for the raw salmon which was yummy, soft, smooth. read more

Payment is made upon entering the restaurant before being unleashed into an expansive dining area that reminds me of a cafeteria like atmosphere. Let's be real, people come here to eat, it's not a place to bring your date! It's all pretty much self serve but the staff will answer any questions and are friendly and efficient when it comes to clearing your table in between trips to the food offerings. The sushi area offers many options for maki sushi but they also offer a variety of nigiri as well. All the accompaniments are available like wasabi, pickled ginger and seaweed salad. Everything I tried was fresh and delicious. The salad bar offers the usual suspects but also a selection of kimchi and one of my favorites, baby octopus. There are so many variations of chicken, beef, pork and shrimp dishes to mention cooked up fried, sautéed and wok seared. They also had whole fillets of baked salmon and a crawfish boil. i mean lowkey hell yea. i would say definitely worth the price considering it's all you can eat and drinks are included. You can also do mongolian bbq, picking out your noodles and veggies before giving it to the chef to cook up. they have good sushi, honestly better than some sushi restaurants i have gone to. i liked a lot of the things i tried here, some i wasn't extremely fond of but that's the beauty of a buffet, you pick what you like and leave what you don't. i enjoyed everything i picked for my plates, shrimps were delish. i was pleasantly surprised to see they had plantains which made the whole trip worth it to me. i love plantains and they were cooked so perfectly and still hot. the only thing on my plate i didn't really like were the cream cheese wontons because they were cold. that's another thing, some things may be room temperature and if you're like me who's pretty picky about wanting their food super hot, be weary. overall, a good experience. the place is huge with lots of seating so you don't gotta necessarily sit next to anybody or any other parties. i would say service is pretty decent, our plates got picked up after stacking up a little high but then they got on it! i like the vibe of this place. i would say it's worth it. excellent diet pepsi. read more

I don't do buffets anymore but there was a lot of hype surrounding this place after first opening so after months and months of thinking about it, I decided to just go for it. The service at the front desk was friendly, but the women collecting plates around the restaurant looked DEPRESSED, which made super awkward since my table was right next to their work station. The food itself was low quality -- I tried a little bit of everything, but most of it just wasn't good and I could not get myself to finish it. The only things I actually enjoyed were the cream cheese rangoons and the dessert donuts. The restaurant itself was clean, which I appreciate, but there were kids running around like it was a playground with no one to stop them. They could've easily knocked over an elderly person or another child. If the parents aren't parenting their children, staff should step in and say something. If you have high standards or care about food quality, this buffet probably isn't for you. read more

I gave this place three stars for the pricing and the crab legs. You can't get all you can eat crab for this type of price anywhere else. The crab was clean and good even though it was cold. The other things I've got were the sushi and the cold shrimp cocktail. Both were pretty good. I also had a slice of their salmon, which is also tasty. If I come back, I will try the dessert and also their Mongolian Station. The line was just too long and we got there close to closing so I didn't try it this time. No no no, absolutely not. Was hoping this place would be good, gave it some time and finally gave it a try. I'm currently sitting here now- not happy at all. Raw oysters taste like they been out all day and night. Extra slimy and wasn't fresh. I have been waiting for a new batch of crab legs for an hour now and it finally came out with OLD CRAB LEGS. My family and I came here for dinner to celebrate our Grandma's birthday. This used to be hometown buffet when I was younger and was a family favorite. I liked that they had many different options to choose from but I just wish the food tasted good. The seafood didn't taste fresh. The only things I liked was the grill and their California rolls. I came here with the fam and they have a good selection of food. It looks brand new and very clean. I saw a good selection of sushi too which I love and they also have a chef on duty that will cook your Korean hot foods. You pick your choice of meat, veggies and noddles and hand it to the chef. Price for dinner was good too only $25.99 per adult including unlimited drinks, hot coffee and tea. They have hot soups and good selection for seafood including my favorite, clams. For desserts, fresh seasonal fruit and I had cherries and they do have ice cream and cakes too. All in all, pretty nice place with good selection and very clean. This use to be the old Hometown Buffet; and even hometown went under some remodeling. Of course it closed due to Covid-19 I think. When I heard about this place I had to check it out. It's like they swapped out hometown for Beijing on the sign. Heck, the "buffet" part of the sign still looks like an old hue red color while Beijing font looks new/same style lol. Went out a few times especially for Mother's Day for mom; believe there were a special on that occasion for the day plus a rose gift which is nice. Pricing may be a bit more but pretty much just eat your moneys worth; lunch pricing is less. It is of great quality and cleanliness is maintained well around. They have a "Mongolian bbq" style area where you pick your raw meats and veggies and noodles and anything fresh in that section, and put it on a plate and wait in line for the cook to fry it in front of you. Fresh fruit, seafood section on ice near the beverages. However, what I love about this new buffet that other Asian style buffets that I've been to so far don't have... is the dessert section has chocolate chip cookies!! Like that is a plus!! Plus other various yet common desserts like jello, coffee cake or gelatin (I dunno what it's called), ice cream, etc etc. But do please keep these Choco cookies intact on the dessert menu! read more

My dad was looking for a place where we can have lunch and he decided to pick this place out. We ended up coming here for lunch on 12/28/22. This is the first buffet we tried in the area. Lunch: $16.99 per person Dinner: $25.99 per person The food here seems pretty good. They have a big selection of seafood. I think I noticed a few dishes with shrimp. My mom was not able to eat any of dishes with shrimp because she is allergic. There are plenty of other dishes that she was able to eat. I always have to try out the fried chicken whenever I go to the buffet. I like the fried chicken here. There is also a Mongolian bbq station too. Usually at buffet there would be white rice but for some reason I was not able to find it at this buffet. I only saw the fried rice. Don't get me wrong, I could have just gotten the rice off the sushi rolls but still, where is your white rice at? Overall, everything that we tried here was good and the dessert too. We went here tonight for the first time without any expectations. It is, after all, a buffet. We were actually pleasantly surprised at the good quality of the food and I'm all about quality over quantity. There was a good-sized crowd but we didn't have to wait to be seated (it's a Wednesday night around 6:00pm). I almost didn't want to post how good the food was because that means more people may come and I'd have to wait longer for a table in the future LOL. No, there maybe isn't as much offered as your typical buffet (though I thought it was still plenty), like a full salad bar, but they had all the good stuff! They had fresh fruit, seaweed salad and even had some sushi, including sashimi. Unlike other Chinese food buffets that have sushi, this was actually good and tasted like it was created with care (textures and flavors were on point). I am a seafood lover and they had snow crab that was tasty, with just enough natural sweetness of the crab and enough salt to balance it out, unlike other buffets where the crab is there to draw people in but doesn't have any flavor at all! The butter dipping sauce for the crab seemed like it was made out of margarine and I didn't care for it, but I ultimately didn't even need it because the crab had plenty of its own flavor. There was an assortment of seafood including baked salmon (delicious creamy sauce on top and not dry), salt and pepper shrimp, salt and pepper calamari, and coconut shrimp (like the honey walnut prawns without walnuts- my fave)! They also have a create your own Mongolian BBQ-type station! There are a variety of dessert options, as well as an ice cream machine. Sodas were included and I was happy they had hot tea to enjoy as well. I honestly felt as if it was better than the last few Indian casino buffets that I have been to recently, and I don't have to drive far away to come here. The value is definitely worth the price. Quality over quantity- I was pretty happy not filling my plate with the "cheap stuff" so I had more room for the good stuff! My boyfriend can't eat shellfish and he was able to find plenty to eat with the variety of fish and chicken dishes, and broccoli beef. Both chilled squid salads were super tasty and I really liked the Stick Chicken because it was caramelized just enough to be slightly sweet, but not be burned or dry. The baked mussels with the special sauce on top was super yummy too! The mussels, along with the squid and calamari, were also NOT rubbery! Seriously, think about how much it costs these days for a burger meal at a fast food place and you will see why the value is there for this place. read more
