First of all the place is dirty and nasty looking. You can tell nobody cares about how filthy it looks and is in the dining area and the bathroom. So gross, the food is nothing to brag about either. I hate to leave such a bad review like this but this is ridiculous this place needs to be reported it's so bad. The cook was sooo slowwwww too and cooking 1 bowl of noodles at a time on a huge flat top and each persons bowl He grabbed to cook next he made sure to grab the 1ft tall tip jar and look at it and look at you as if you owe him something after waiting 20minutes for 3 peoples bowls of noodles and you think I wanna tip you for your poor service? Not gonna lie this place hits when I'm craving some Asian food especially noodles! Just sometimes it is not very consistent and they over char the noodles or the grill won't be cleaned right and it has a weird texture. I really do think all the sides are hella ass not gonna lie. They might as well save they money and not serve those in my opinion and focus on like making the Mongolian bbq better quality. Cooks and server are nice and attentive. read more

This place has been around forever and to me , this is comfort food. I feel warm inside and content. I love being able to add whichever ingredients as our hearts desire . Shoutout to the cooks who prepare all of our bowls all day. My one complaint is that sometimes the rice that they bring out isn't always fresh , it's hard sometimes but not a dealbreaker. This used to be my favorite place, however they have definitely gone downhill. Noodles lack flavor because of how small of a bowl they give you, you can't fit enough sauce. Not to mention my bowl was filled with huge burnt chunks and every one else in my party did as well. The service was also lacking the girl with blue hair forgot about us twice some of us started eating with our hands because we waited that long for silverware and gave attitude that we asked another server for soup. The kids are on keto so they insist on GK Mongolian BBQ. To be honest, I find this chain of restaurants mostly unkempt, with the raw food strewn all over the counter, various protiens all mixed up with each other, and the tables are never wiped clean. But this one is the exception. Not sure if we just got lucky since the place was almost empty. So this is why I gave them 4 starts - 1- The tables were neatly arranged and clean. I could see the food counter was clean, even the floor was clean. 2 - The only server was able to attend to us right away. So service was good. 3 - We had some disagreement because it was lunch time and my son wanted to eat unlimited. But the server agreed that if we pay dinner prices for him, he can go back for more bowls of meat as he wants. So one more star for being flexible and letting my son eat on the AYCE dinner during the lunch hour. 4 - The meats and vegetables were neatly stacked, and the bowls were large enough for a meal for an adult. So that is good. Sorry, no star 5. That is for ambience. Nothing special here. Just grabbing a quick lunch, so no big deal. But it does feel like you are in a street market place. I'm a Mongolian fiend. Worked at a Mongolian joint for 4 years and I try to actively search out new spots! This place was fantastic. Plenty of options for meats and veggies. Only 1 option for noodles and it's a house made thicker noodle (Super good!) For sauces they have both house made sauces (A BBQ sauce, teriyaki, a lobster sauce for example) and oils. I believe they have over a dozen options to choose from what I can count :D. Super recommended! Staff was super nice. Place was really clean even after a lunch rush. I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often! PLEASE get a location in Seattle soon!!! read more

A hidden treasure. The atmosphere is basic, but that's because they devote their focus to the food, and boy does it pay off! Everything is amazing, and their xiaolongbao are as good as anything I've found in San Francisco Chinatown. Service is friendly, don't be shy about getting a server's attention. The waitress was super nice and friendly. Unfortunately, that's about the only positive thing I can say. We came in on a Friday at around 6pm and there weren't too many people in there. I noticed the food station was super sticky and the guy at the grill, was not keeping the grill clean. I've been to other locations where they are constantly cleaning it. The grill was so dirty and gunked up. Also, the guy cooking the food would add water to help cook the food, but I feel it just watered the food down and made it taste bland and I used a lot of sauce. I wish that was the worst of it... we got up for our second bowls and when we sat down to eat, I noticed a roach on my partner's shoulder. We were horrified and he flicked it off. Then we looked down to see where it went and we saw another one (it was smaller) and realized there were several more crawling around. We had to leave. There was no way we were going to keep eating the food there. It was our first time at this location and I can confidently say, we will not be back. It was a pretty horrific experience. read more

This was a pretty big disappointment! I have ate at the location in Tracy which is much better and cleaner. The Restraunt tables, floors, cashier station, everything inside looked like it was dirty and sticky. The food was very oily compared to other location too. They gave us cold potstickers and the soup was watery. The fountain soda was excellent though! At the bottom of my bowl was a lot of oil. I only used one scoop so the guy must of added some when cooking. It is my suggestion for them to put holes in bottom of the bowls to let all the oils drain out. Maybe put plate under the bowls to catch all the oil too! I don't recommend this particular location though I do suggest you try other locations. Despite the unclean Restraunt it was busy and stayed busy throughout our entire hour visit. read more

We had stopped coming here for so many years... due to the last time something from our food topping was sour.... Expired if you may... Tonight we returned after many many years and I will NEVER return.... As soon as you walk in it's clearly visible how neglected the place is in terms of cleanliness... As soon as we walked up to the food bar we instantly regretted it. Everything was wilted in terms of the toppings.. everything appeared to be sitting out for hours possibly even all day.... The part of the tongs where everyone touches were all inside the food. Around the entire food bar was extremely dirty as if it had not been cleaned at all, Possibly even days as there were miscellaneous food pieces that were dried onto the food bar. While serving our bowl, we casually witnessed a cockroach crawling under our feet. Finally brings me to the cook. He looked exhausted and as if he hated his whole life. His apron was insanely dirty. Like that apron has not been washed in years. It was CAKED on! Along with the hot top grill where the food is cooked. EXTREMELY dirty. Who knows if they even clean this place to be honest it does not appear to be cleaned at all. They brought our egg drop soup and was sour.... I am not sure how or why this place is still in business we paid $42 for this meal which in conclusion has now made me sick to my stomach. Building is hidden behind a shopping center, but has good parking and different ways of entering/exiting which I love. The place is calm and smells so good when you start walking up. This review is based on getting an order via DoorDash and going in person this last weekend. I must say the food is BOMB, but there are a couple of things I don't appreciate. Cons: 1- I'm vegan and so the fact they don't have a separate cooking surface for vegans/vegetarians does suck 2- The floors are so slippery. I'm terrified of falling and getting hurt. They need to purchase the correct floor cleaner because they must be using wax or something right now. It is scary lol So my Door Dash order was so bomb. See photo!! Stopped at GK to grab some bbq to-go while on the road for a long drive, they prepared everything freshly in front of me and used the best ingredients! My noodles stayed hot and the broccoli, zucchini, chicken, Turkey, and pineapple blended well together! The teriyaki sauce and cooking oil were also a perfect pair. Well the concept is very similar to a few Korean bbq spots. Korean bbq you pick your meats, veggies, etc and they bring it out for you, and you grill your own food. With this particular Mongolian bbq you assemble your bowl of protein,veggies, carbs, etc. topping it with their sauce, and have the chefs cook it right in front of you. The food tasted okay. I've been on a Mongolian BBQ kick lately. Having been to a few establishments I've created a standard for Mongolian BBQ. So we were looking for a local place and tried GK. Boy were we disappointed. We walk in and it looks like chaos. We are kinda seated but they didn't know what was going on. We grab bowls and I start filling. As I look down the row it's disgusting. Had I not started filling my bowl before looking down I would have just walked out. But if I was paying, I was eating. The veggies were in disarray and all over everywhere, some sauces were empty and the counter was all sticky and gross. The grill was pretty nasty looking and there was dropped food all around it. The sauces were bland and disappointing. I had to add salt to my food. I've never needed to add salt to my MBBQ. The cooks were drinking while cooking. The line moved slower than molasses in winter time. The wontons at the table were stale and gritty. The service was subpar, at best. The only redeeming factor was the quasi sesame seed desert. 7/16/19 - I am truly blessed to have two sons that love and care about their mother!!! Since the death of their step-father they are really doing what he taught them as always making sure that I am comfortable and most of all showing me respect. My oldest son brought me here for dinner, right away I noticed that their is only one grill and one person doing the cooking, and one lady waiting on customers, putting out fresh meat & vegetables for customers, and she was also preparing three to-go plates!!! My gripe has always been that they give you a small bowl. It is very hard to be neat when you are trying to cram frozen meat, and any other vegetables, and any other options into this bowl. Then you can put your choice of sauces like teriyaki, garlic sauce, etc. You can ask for shrimp for $2 or &3 more!!!! Once we sat down at any table of our choice she brought our beverages and fried won tons, later on she brought rice & soup. The soup was good, but a little on the cold side! The Mongolian barbecue was very good!!!! I will come back!! The place is small and could use some updating, and some more help!!! But I don't think they are interested in paying anyone else!! I gave it three stars only because the lady & the cook were very nice, and the food was great!! It was a little after 5p., and it wasn't crowded!!! I actually ordered the pollo noodles. They were not in the stapled bag when the grub hub dude dropped it off. A 45 min wait on top of that. Heart break. I did have some of my girls noodles tho and let me just say this is not the move. That's gonna be a no for me dawg. I mean nothing memorable. The noodles had a raw flour taste to them. No sear marks on anything. No smokiness flavor to the seasoning, nothing that screamed "fresh" I was told they will not re send the order unless it's over 70$. I was craving this place for a while now and finally got to come here again. There's something about the chewiness of the noodles and the fact that it is AYCE (for dinner only, I think). The place can get a little messy at times, but if you want a lot of food for a decent AYCE price, this is the place to go. I'm not a huge fan of the extra side dishes they provide (the rice cake - looking dessert, and the fried sweets), but I do like that they offer soup. (I'm a huge soup-lover.) This is not a place to go to if you're looking for a fine food restaurant, but if you want a hearty amount of food with plenty of vegetables and sauces, definitely give this place a try! read more

I'll start of by saying that according to the employee, this place has been here for almost 40 years! Traditional Mongolian style eatery. You get your bowl, add all the ingredients, and then the cook will do his magic in front of you. I piled my bowl sky high with my favorite meat, veggies, and sauces. The entire place gets filled with that delicious MBBQ smell. The food was great! It even comes with an egg roll, fried wonton and your choice of fried or white rice. Tried this place on the recommendation of a hotel shuttle driver. We sat outside. Went through the line and filled up a bowl of items. Fairly standard meats and vegetables. Nice array of sauces. However, most of them seemed watery. I tried blending a few together. When the finished product was ready, the sauces were nearly flavorless.
