Scary.... They have their own take on Asian / Thai /Chinese food. Mostly ToGo orders very few seats inside (zero outside) the food does not travel very well. We live within two miles for the restaurant, calling in an order, driving there within ten miles, waiting on order then drive home. Everything was/is cold and or soggy. read more

This is by FAR the absolute WORST Chinese food I've ever consumed. Chicken mixed vegetables no flavor meh ugh. Shrimp lo mein tastes identically like OLD OIL with barely any shrimp which we noticed when putting on plates. Then we tasted it. Crab Rangoon no dipping sauce, not enough filler of any resemblance of filling. How do you F $&ck up wonton soup ? Not certain, but if you'd like a course I'm sure they offer it. 2022 review: before Covid this was a go to spot, and buy a go to spot I mean it was edible, Chinese, food, in this part of western North Carolina is not what we were known for. I would've given it a solid two stars, which is to say if I'm too lazy to cook, they actually made their own damn things before and I could stomach some beef and broccoli or deep fried chicken. Post Covid I took my wife one time for a picnic. I ordered Mongolian beef and she ordered general tsos chicken. I ordered the standard dumplings. Dumplings were no longer the homemade types but very inferior, pasty, store-bought types. They tasted extremely bland and different. As for the Mongolian beef and general Tso, my partner started throwing up within six minutes of eating it. I have a hearty her stomach, but I felt quite nauseous and I just did not feel right for a couple days. I went by to let them know right away, so that no one else would get this food. As a regular customer who has probably been there a couple dozen times at least, I would've expected a full refund, and perhaps an apology. They asked for receipts, they gave us a refund for one of the dinners. It's so incredible to me how myopic certain business owners can be. Making a couple less dollars in one day has lost hundreds of dollars in potential income. And I'm writing this review now, so I'm sure that's not going to be too helpful. I always want to offer the benefit of the doubt. I'm happy to come back and try again if this was just an off experience, but I was truly shocked at how about the customer service was after two people being sick off of the food. I'm going to have to drop my rating for this restaurant. The meals we received Saturday were so disappointing that I have to share my most recent experience. Restaurants shouldn't be able to ride on past good reviews when the food has become substandard. Unfortunately yelp doesn't see it that way with ratings, but they at allow us to tell our experiences. I ordered Vegetable Chow Mei Fun from here because in the past, I've received dishes from here with Chinese vegetables in them. A lot of places just throw broccoli or carrots in and call it Chinese. I also expected to get a dish with rice noodles not the thick goey noodles with 4 chunks of broccoli and call that a vegetable dish. The fried rice was dry and not tasty and the eggrolls might have been good if they were done on the inside. My partner said the General Tsos was better at Ingles deli. I've decided I'm done with Chinese restaurants on the Southside. Neither it nor China Garden want to give you a cup of the sweet sauce with the crab rangoons without you asking, where it used to be included and not a big deal. Prices have increased & quality decreased. I'm just super disappointed it's such a big deal to get real Chinese vegetables or rice noodles. I can easily make a pot of italian spaghetti noodles, throw in 4 broccolis florets out of the freezer, drain and stir in a brown sauce without overpaying fot it. Trying out replacements for our neighborhood Chinese restaurant that closed down. Good bowl of noodles, but lacked flavor, general taus chicken is the best we have had in the area so far. The egg foo young gravy is just ok and very stingy on the meat and too heavy on the onions, It could be better with a bit more effort. Food is hot and freshly cooked - chicken didn't taste as fresh as I would have liked. Huge portion of lo mein, and a large amount of chili oil in the bottom of the container after finishing the dish. Gurl if the place doesn't know what white sauce is it isn't worth it... I myself being Asian am personally embarrassed. If I could rate it less I would, I ordered one of their combos and the rice was barely eatable cause it was covered in sauce like it was dripping out of the side of the container. I almost gagged myself to death. It was so bad I put it on the sidewalk at the restaurant, goodbye $25. I've been patronizing this fine establishment for many years. It's my go to for Monday linners (lunch/dinner). They are very friendly. The prices are stupid (very reasonable). Their food is fantastic. With our ugly uncle COVID (you know, the uncle who no one likes, wears out his welcome, he was supposed to stay the weekend, maybe a week at most because he just doesn't have that much time on this earth anyway: and 9 months later he's still here) your phone in your food, and you call when you get there, they bring it out to you. I used to tip pre-Covid $1-$2 (what's the etiquette, y'all? I'm picking up the food, am I tipping the cashier? The cook? I don't know), but now I'm tipping about $7. If I could give them a zero I would. I called and placed an order, it was read back to me. I was told it would be 15-20 minutes. Gave them my husbands name. When he went to pick it up, they couldn't find the order, the person that came out to the car asked for the phone number and confirmed the number I called from, they couldn't find the order. Wow, can't believe I've lived here almost 3 years and just stopped here for take out. I pass this place daily. Having lived in Asia and traveled there for over 30 years, I am always suspicious of Chinese take out. But this place is good. Really good. Especially I recommend the dumplings. If you want LoMein Noodles (instead of what, spaghetti?) they charge extra, 75cents for a bag of cheap tasting/stale crispy noodles). No condiment like soy sauce...you have to pay for that! The highlight would have to be the shrimp dumplings and the BBQ beef sticks. i ordered $175 worth of food because i have no car and i was afraid to ride my bike to get groceries on the icey roads i told them to charge only $140 to my card and the rest in cash they did it right the first time i had some places charge my card the full price and cause my bank to bounce but not Beijing restaurant the delivery driver is always polite and smiles and the person on the phone is always polite despite my enormous order nothing was under cooked everything was cooked just right and their food is always mouth watering sometimes i have to pick out the celery but thats part of the Chinese food package and i don't mind. their polite attitude makes me want to always come back and i have never eaten anything here that wasn't good i gave a big tip cuz i know they worked hard i like how i can pay some with my card and some in cash and know they will not mess up the transaction when i get my car next week i have considered eating in the restaurant since i have only ordered delivery if their delivery service is this out standing then their table service must be just as good i stopped ordering pizza from papa johns last yr after the delivery driver ran off with extra $60 the problem was never resolved and the delivery drivers never have cash on them from papa johns Beijing restaurant always has change never has an excuse for why they didn't carry change i think their place is down town hendersonville i recommend this place to any Chinese food lover the price is a tad bit higher then some other Chinese food places around town but i will always choose this place first mainly because they deliver and i never had a bad experience i an a penny pincher i will go to many lengths to save just 1 penny and even i would rather pay a tad bit more for this places great food polite service and the fact they deliver is great for someone like me who doesn't have a car my birth day is coming up i might just chose to go here for dinner read more
