Great place! Every time I visit here I leave happy and full. It is a Chinese buffet filled with your favourites and there is also something new to try each time my boyfriend and I have visited. Our favourites have been the ribs and baked chicken, I loved the squid, the dumplings and the soup are so tasty, like I said you will be full! Piss poor customer service. Absolutely refuses to deliver even though their website says will deliver for orders over $30. Lady answering the phone speaks/understands very little English beyond the words on the menu, and struggles with those. I used to love this place but when you treat your customers like garbage they find somewhere else to go, which is what I advise you to do. read more

I was disappointed with this restaurant, It's pricey and you don't get much for it. The fish, shrimp and clams on the shell were nearly inedible - extremely fishy and strong tasting. The salad bar was pathetic. The won ton soup had no flavour at all. The chow mein and ginger beef was adequate. The chicken balls were disgusting - all uncooked, thick dough surrounding a microscopic piece of tough chicken. Frankly, the only really good things there were the fruit salad and ice cream. The service was awful even though there were hardly any customers. We waited so long for the bill we finally had to go to the front and beg them to take our money. We won't be back. read more

There's not much to say about this place. My coworkers and I go there for their lunch buffet. $12 with tip. It's not as grandiose as the Mandarin but decent. The only problem I have is their dessert. Canned fruit, cookies and honeydew melon. That's it. I don't know if their dinner is larger but it'll do. read more

The last time I wrote a review for this place, I had a lot of nice things to say and I wasn't going to bother writing another one, but I'm not happy! The food didn't seem as good as other times that I've been here, although they did add a frozen yogurt machine that's the only good thing about this review that I have to say. As I got my food from the buffet and was making my way back to the table this lady (worker) runs out from the kitchen area and shoves me aside so that she can run by to catch up with one of the other workers who had a take out bag, I'm 34 weeks pregnant, but putting that aside no matter what no customer should be shoved aside, she didn't have the manners to say excuse me!! As buffets go this place is quite good. We always get great service and smiles from the ladies. Plates are taken away quickly and the restaurant is kept clean. The food is plentiful with a reasonable variety; coconut shrimp, calamari, fish, chicken, won ton soup, etc. Pretty much what one would expect at a Chinese restaurant. They also do not add MSG which is great for those sensitive to it. There have been a few times that we didn't like what we took but that's the nice thing about a buffet ... re-dos! You can always go back and get more of what you like. The price for a dinner has gone up to about $19.99 but that is to be expected with the current food prices. We've been there dozens of times and will definitely be going back. read more

Ordered takeout from here for the first time this week and I have nothing but FANTASTIC things to say. First of all, the amount of food was ridiculous in a great way! It was enough for 7 meals plus the wonton soup which unfortunately spilled everywhere when I put the bag on the counter so I can't really review that as we never got to taste it. I'm sure it would have been good too though! The taste of everything else we got was amazing! I can usually go without ginger chicken but I was addicted to this one! And the special chowmein - my new favourite Chinese dish! The price was just as amazing as the food. We will definitely be back! read more

The restuarant has a great deal if you dine with them and then go to the movies. The food itself isn't too bad. There is enough people continuously coming in so I know the food is fairly fresh as they need to keep restocking. However, the food isn't as hot as it could be. My food shouldn't be cold by the time I sit down. The service is good. read more

The food is MSG free and the chicken balls are soft! How can you not love a place like that. We often ride our motorcycle out to this location from South Edmonton just because of "Echo" the waitress who remembers everything, always is on the ball and treats us like we're family. No kidding! Refill on beverages, food is always hot and good, never too busy to be seated quickly and the price is decent. Highly recommend. read more

We ordered delivery tonight from here and were very pleased! It was quick (faster than they quoted), friendly service both on the phone and delivery gentleman. It was reasonably priced and it was very good! I would definitely recommend it. :) My favorite is the Kung Po Guy Ding chicken. Yum! read more

By far the best Chinese restaurant I've found in Edmonton. The food is fresh and delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive. The buffet seems a little pricey, but I'll gladly pay it to avoid subjecting myself to the cheap garbage that the other Chinese restaurants in north Edmonton call food. I definitely recommend Beijing House. My only complaint is that even though their website says they're open until 11 pm, I've found that they tend to close whenever they feel like it. It's a little weird for me not being from this area, but it seems like a lot of the restaurants here do that for some reason. read more

Went here for lunch.. Food was very cold very normal and desserts tasted like they were freezer burnt .. Could not even keep it in my mouth . I had to spit it out in my napkin. Also the pop tasted really flat. Not sure if we will go here again!! read more

I work long hours so having a buffet nearby that's not only open late, but also offers the option to fill to-go containers in lieu of dining-in is perfect!! We went there for supper last night, the first night in ages I could get everyone to go out. It started out okay, some of the food was hot and some I would not try. I gave it two stars because my son who only had 2 plates and just the basic stuff started feeling not so good. So we finished up and left and my son let it all go outside, but in the bushes. I ran back in and asked for some water and they gave me a glass of HOT WATER! ??? So i went back in and still no manager and finally got cold water and a barf bag and left. We will not eat there again. Plus the waitress was not a friendly as we had there before. She brought us the bill without us asking for it and just had an attitude. For a buffet it is pretty good. Biggest problem is if you hit it on a slow day the buffet items can be sitting for quite a while. That makes them not great. If you get fresh food on the buffet it is great. Not any where near authentic Chinese but good Canadian version. read more

after coming out of the cinema we decided to finally try this place. The food was hot, tasty and plenty of choice, from soup to battered shrimp, ginger beef, mussels and dessert. for the price it was excellent. 2 of us inc 2 orange juices and generous tip $50. take out at our local Chinese costs us $40 before tip so we are now swopping allegiance. read more

I just happened to be on the north side of Edmonton when the Bejing House sign caught my eye. This place had the WORST Chinese food I have eaten in a long time. The Chinese food at the food court at West Edmonton Mall is cheaper and better. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I paid over $50 for two adults and two children! I should have just waited to go to C&S Seafood in Chinatown to pay less for awesome Chinese food. Shame on the Chinese staff thinking that they could serve sloppy, lazy dishes and be excused by the "all-you-can-eat" format of a buffet. I will never come here again. Be warned... read more

The meat was undercooked and the waitress asked me why there was food left over on my plate! who does that? She gave me a look and asked me 'hows everything' while she was pointing at the left over food. I told her the meat was undercooked and that's why there were left overs. She looked at me so disappointed and took that plate away without even apologizing. I have been to so many Chinese buffets and they always have seafood but this one didn't. no variety in meat either. so not worth is for $16!!!! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone read more

My family stumbled on this restaurant while on a trip back from St. Albert. We thought the service was dynamite. A very friendly woman who made us feel at home. The food was delicious and much better than anything we get on the south side. My only complaint at all is that the dessert sucked. I would have to say though, that this would be a norm in Asian restaurants. Just once I'd love to see some fresh rich chocolate cake or some cheese cake or something edible other than dried out coconut cookies. The price was really good for a buffet, I can't understand the price complaints. Most buffets we go to are $20 per person and over. This one for lunch was $14.00 and I thought it was more than fair. We are definitely talking about driving all the way back over there for another meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to my friends. read more

We went today for the buffet and were extremely disappointed! The food was mostly tasteless. The ginger beef tasted like sugar, no beef or ginger flavour. All the food was lukewarm. The broccoli and greens did have a taste, a very fishy taste that was disgusting. The beef with the broccoli was very salty, at least I think it was beef. They now charge $18.95 which is very expensive for horrible food. We were at this buffet about 2 years ago and it was mediocre. I would not recommend this restaurant to any one. YUCK read more
