Tomato and Spicy & Sour Crossing the Bridge soups

This is the latest rice noodle chain to arrive in Edmonton this year. Inside is modern and bright. The service is friendly and knowledgeable. Also who doesn't love unlimited noodle refills?! I've been here three times now and food has been great for me each time. To order, you have to fill out a sheet of paper to pick which items you want. I highly recommend the items on the bottom of the menu with "crossing the bridge" in its name. This means that all the items for the soup will be given to you in a tray and you can put the items in yourself. The top portion of the menu has the soups prepared with the items dumped in already. However I feel like it's more fun and I think there's more soup items provided if you choose a crossing the bridge soup option. My favorite soup so far is the spicy and sour soup with beef. I love the flavor and it's mixed with the perfect spices to make you want to crave for more. Also the bubble tea options here are fantastic. I rank it high in the bubble tea places in the city. The fruits in the bubble tea are fresh and the size of the drink is decent. The price of the buuble tea and the noodle soups are reasonable. It's definitely a place to check out if you like rice noodles!

Really amazing place. Food was fast and tasty. Really filling and super healthy. I had the Spicy Crossing the Bridge Rice Noodle Soup. It was great. Although I am the one that usually does extra extra hot sauce on everything, I found this too spicy. I love how the soup comes deconstructed. You can add veggies and meat to your liking, and each bite is a different tasty sensation. I decided to be adventurous and tried the sliced beef tongue. It was really spicy. I was surprised on how tender the tongue tasted. It was a lovely combination of crunchy vegetables and tender meat. We also had the fried chicken. The chicken was moist and tender and a nice batter on the chicken. I also had the strawberry panna cotta drink. How delicious! It made the prefect rich dessert. I highly recommend this place. My only critique is that it is not a super comfortable restaurant to sit and chat in. The atmosphere and the chairs are uncomfotable.

Love the hot soups! Especially the beef in bone soup! It was boiling hot and had alot of meat on the bones. Also has a taste of the shrimp noodle bowl (currently labelled as the 'Fresh Rice Line'). The broth was definately more rich in flavour due to the added seafood flavour to the base broth. So if you like your broths more flavorful, get that. Although I knew there were unlimited noodles, 1 bowl of noodles left me super full! The Lotus root stuffed rice is sweet, mushy and cold. The taste was ok, but I didn't like the texture. Also tried the cheese strawberry drink. It tasted like a liquid strawberry cheesecake SO GOOD!!!

The atmosphere is quite pleasant. There is unlimited noodles and their bubble tea selection is great. However, I will note that the tomato broth is quite bland. I'm vegetarian and therefore, I wasn't sure if I could add the chili. Other than that, you can get a nice fully belly

A new fixture on Jasper and 104th. This rice noodle chain makes its way to Edmonton and it doesn't disappoint. You have many options of hot soup and various proteins. And I mean hot, the bowl comes sizzling to your table. I had the sour & spicy flavoured noodle soup with XiangXi pulled beef. It was such a great blend of flavours. The tender beef mixed with the sweetness of the vegetables helped the rice noodles suck up all that flavour. And the noodles were refillable which is a win in my books. I want to experience all that broth! Will definitely be going again.

I just wanted bubble tea - the place across from Dagu was closed (not sure why, no reason on the door). Went to Dagu to pick up a mango cheese drink. It was worth it. I came back to try another drink.

It has crispy rice at the bottom, which was a great texture and flavour along with large pieces of Basa fish covered in a delicious Szechuan chilli. It was not overly spicy. We also did a customizable soup with the Laksa broth, thin pieces of lamb, enoki mushrooms, and greens. Everything was fresh and delicious. I would definitely recommend the Laksa broth. It had a creamy coconut milk flavour along with a mildly spicy, savoury broth and a curry base. Service was wonderful. The ladies seemed very proud of the dishes and spent time explaining how to eat each dish and what the unique ingredients were. Big smiles all around when they found out it was our first time there. They were excited to suggest certain things and explain how the build your own soup worked. The only thing that could be improved on were the appetizers, we had the deep fried calamari and chicken wings, but they were not authentically Hong Kong style. They were a little bit crispy and seemed like frozen calamari. The chicken wings had been deep fried but had no seasoning except for salt and they were over salted. We would definitely return for the clay hot pot, the customizable soups, and ready-made soup broth. Also, we are planning to try the various congee's next time too!

The build your own noodle bowl has many options for a reasonable price of $16.25. There are also set noodle bowls which offer good options if one can't decide what to build. In addition to noodle bowls, there's congee and clay pot rice. I ordered the marinated chicken and preserved sausage as it had been years since I last ate it. It arrived with a bowl of tasty soup. There was plentiful chicken and sausage and lots of rice. There was also bok choy on top. The food was very tasty. We also order the tofu to share. The service was attentive and good. This is a place that I would definitely come back to!

Parking as always a challenge near Whyte Ave, but it is quite cheap on Saturday mornings. ~$1.00/2 hours street parking. Single stall gender neutral bathroom available. Love that you are given water immediately. Waitress was very kind and patient. Boyfriend got the Lan Beef Noodle soup: 6/10. He reports it was okay but not anything exciting. I found the noodles too al dente for me. Beef was very fatty. I tried the "dry noodle" chicken. 6/10. Only green onions and hardly any mushroom as a vegetable (I gave the green onion to boyfriend). Chicken was fine. Noodles were super fresh. Sauce was really only the chicken's grease which was tasty but just greasy. Felt like eating just one big bowl of greasy noodles. Overall the noodles are definitely fresh, but texture was lacking.

What I love is that they make their noodles by hand and you can watch them pull them from the window. They also have some side dishes as well. Service is prompt but not what I would say is friendly. We decided to share a few things. - Handmade Noodle with Beef Braised Sauce ( Spicy) -Thin round noodle shape. Hand-pulled noodle, braised beef sauce, and sliced. That was my husband's choice. I chose the Handmade Noodle with Spring Onion. Thin-round noodle shape. Hand-pulled noodles, scallion oil, sliced carrots, and sliced cucumber. We also shared the Wonton in ChilI Oil Sauce - Spicy Tender wontons in a spicy chili oil sauce. As well as the shredded potatoes. Food was fresh and delicous. Everything was good I don't think i could pick a favourite. Next time I will have to try the soup.
