(We haven't had a "real" eggroll in the 14 months we've lived in Arizona - what's with all these spring rolls in disguise??) The eggrolls were good, but the rest of our order was mediocre. I was craving Chinese food all day and decided to give Beijing II a try. They were only doing take out orders, but it worked out because we wanted to take it home anyway. Our food was ready in 15 mins. It was a Wednesday evening around 6:30. We ordered Mongolian beef, Kung Pao chicken, and egg rolls. Both proteins were tender and cooked well. A good amount of veggies in the Kung Pao and the sauce on the Mongolian beef was flavorful, sweet, perfect texture and little spicy. As you can imagine, when the rice soaks up the remaining sauce, it pulls it all together. The egg rolls were huge! The veggies inside had a slight crunch and the outside had that satisfying crispy bite! The hot mustard was insanely hot... which I loved because it had that horseradish burn! So glad I picked up dinner from here after work. Great take out service. Order placed and ready in 10 minutes, even though their phone was ringing non stop with orders. I had the Crab Puffs, which were perfect and so delicious. Egg rolls are full of veggies and crispy good. The House Special Fried rice was delicious, with a good amount of shrimp, chicken and pork. They are only open for take out but the food is great. Best Egg Rolls I have ever had, and I try them everywhere. They are very busy but the food is made to order and very fresh. This is seriously the best Chinese food I've ever had! Everything is fresh, down to the batter, sauce, and meat or vegetable. I'm a huge fan of Sweet n Sour chicken, but only when it's done right. Beijing II uses white meat only and it's an actual chicken breast lightly battered and fried vs the usual diced mystery chicken meat drowning in batter you get at other restaurants. The egg rolls are legit and freshly wrapped vs the gross frozen, prepackaged spring rolls that are called "egg rolls" at other restaurants. You can see, smell, and TASTE the care Beijing II puts into their food. Nothing is sticky or old. Nothing has been sitting in sauce for hours. Nothing is dry or unchewable. Everything is made to order. I live in the Los Angeles area and every time I come out to Prescott to visit my parents, I HAVE to come here. I can't find any place like this that actually makes quality Chinese food. And I've tried too many places. We're from out of the area, spending a few days scouting out Prescott/Prescott Valley for a possible retirement home. Our hotel gave us a list of area restaurants they recommended, but there were no Chinese restaurants on their list. Is it possible for there to be a college town devoid of Chinese food? Not likely we thought, so we got on Yelp and found this place. It's small, spotlessly clean, not at all fancy, and they are open limited hours. It's a Mom and Pop shop, they moved here from SoCal 20 years ago, and pretty much operate it themselves (yes, we chatted with them after we ate - what does that tell you?). They're both very nice, and their service is excellent. Also, their chairs all match and the tables are in perfect condition. Seriously, the place is CLEAN. We ordered the Hot & Sour Soup, and asked for it extra hot (temperature) - it was extra hot and very good! We also ordered the Hunan Royale - sliced chicken and beef in a spicy Hunan sauce, and Szechuan Chicken - chicken breast fried with a spicy sauce with broccoli. Both entrees were great! We weren't able to eat everything, so we asked for small containers so we could take the leftovers back to our room for a mid-day snack later this week. We liked it. A lot! I love good Asian Food, when I read the reviews was excited to find a stop through Prescott Valley. Here's my honest review of the good bad and ugly. the food was ok but not great. Three stars: Beef Low Mien noodles were overly soft but dry beef was tender. Won tons were over cooked ( a couple were fine but it was like we got the last of the old batch mixed with the new) Egg drop soup was good but nothing special. The biggest negative was the lady who took our order. Got the feeling she saw "walk in tourist" rather than a customer. I saw a line of regulars walking in and grab ready to go orders while we waited over a half hour for our counter order. She greeted us flat and short and ignored questions about items. After a while I was waiting to hear "no soup for you" from her such was her demeanor. so service, One-star. Would I return for more abuse because of the food?
