While I realize Wickenburg is not a Chinese food hotspot, I expected better. I ordered the sesame chicken meal and some fried potstickers as takeout. The parking lot was nearly an off-roading experience with the potholes and rocks. Not pleasant. I started with the fried potstickers and was immediately put off. The potstickers were clearly fried in old oil and left much to be desired. Hoping it was a fluke, I then tried the sesame chicken. It tasted similar to the potstickers and had the same old/not fresh flavor. The vegetables and white rice were the highlight of the meal...in that these were the only aspects that I really ate. The food was terrible, the flavor boiled out of it or far too much MSG. Parking is difficult and iffy. I've traveled to China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong for 8-9 years, and whatever it is they're serving here, it isn't Chinese. Some of the vegetables look like they're used in Chinese food, but that's as close as it comes. Terribly tasteless. I try to find something good to say about a restaurant, but in this case, I'm not about whitewashing the truth. They'll never run out of condiments as long as there's a funnel and tap water available. My partner and I -- both of whom love Chinese food -- marvel at the 4- and 5-star reviews of this restaurant. They have to be mistaken... we've been in here a number of times and have never seen anything as good as the most mediocre Chinese restaurants in the Valley. I guess if you get someone drunk enough... There's nothing that I can recommend about this restaurant: we've been in here a number of times late-2020 through 2025, and the food has been very consistent: consistently bad. Our dogs wouldn't even eat what we brought home. Don't think our big girl will ever trust me again, and she eats hairbrushes, storm grates, prescription bottles; our puppy only sniffed it, only once at that. This is a decent place to eat. Prices are affordable and portions are decent. The staff is always friendly. We been eating here off and on for about 10 years. They have beer and wine as well. The building is old but they keep it clean, from what I can see :) So next time you are in Wickenburg Arizona stop by and have some Chinese food. read more

The food- it's just, really, really great. It's one of those things, you don't know why a one horse town like this has such great Chinese, especially when it's impossible out here to find east coast style Chinese on the west coast, (personally not a fan of San Francisco/west coast style.) I'm just glad it's here. I hope it hangs in there, in this tiny town. I could eat here every week. They are closed on Tuesday's, I believe. My bf gets the sweet and sour chx, I like the honey a was walnut shrimp, and green onion beef, wor wonton soup... they do a great job of using good quality cuts of meat, which can be a gross problem at these budget American Chinese joints. Not here- the meat is juicy, no gristle in the beef, seafood not fishy or dried/old...it's PF Chang's meat quality. For a great price. Please frequent this great little place, so it continues to get its business, and be around to enjoy. I just wish they were open 7 days a week, but I understand it's a small town, and in the summer especially, it's slow and the employees deserve that day. read more

First time at Sizzling Wok, and we weren't disappointed. This business is the model of the American Dream - it's not fancy, some parts are cobbled together, but functional. Regardless, the service was quick and friendly, and the food delicious. My wife and I both had the Week 4 lunch special which was Kung Pow Chicken & Shrimp with vegetables. The soup was fantastic - so good we ordered a large to take home when finished. The food food was clearly professionally prepped and cooked, all items done perfectly for temperature and texture. I go here all the time. 4-5 stars every time But these last 2 trips have been a nightmare. First trip the lady over charged us $13 dollars. Okay I get it. Mistakes happen. Second trip. Terrible customer service from the front lady. Acts like she doesn't know how to do her job. Lies about the food being ready. Watches food wait at the counter and checks her phone and texts instead of giving food to the customers who are waiting. The cooks had to come out and tell her what to do. We ordered online 30 min prior for a take-away order. When we arrived they told us our order wasn't ready and it would be a 20 min wait for our order after we arrived. All I can say is this place is great. It is now our go to spot for Chinese Food. The service is very good and the staff work their butts off to make sure all our needs are met. Surprise! I've discovered another really good sit-down Chinese restaurant. And it's in the most unlikely of places. I'm talking about Sizzling Wok in Wickenburg, Arizona. Following a day hike up near Yarnell last weekend, on our way back to the valley, I did a Yelp! search for dinner ideas. We decided to try some Chinese based on the strength of the reviews. For all I know, Sizzling Wok May be the only Chinese restaurant in town. Regardless, it definitely lived up to the billing. We arrived 45 mins before close and were seated right away. Being the only group in the place didn't dissuade us. After all, it was late on a Sunday in Wickenburg. Honestly, we were surprised they were still open. Our entrees were delivered quickly. They were piping hot and fresh. And my Mongolian Beef was prepared just the way I like it. The meat was tender, the sauce was spicy and it had puffed rice noodles. Classic! Also, we finished eating and had our checks closed by the top of the hour. Sizzling Wok is definitely worth considering when in town. It's a mom and pop place that appears to have been around a while. Despite the quirky building (there are wagon wheel light fixtures and outside bathrooms), the food is excellent and the service is on point. Unfortunately, it's too far away to visit regularly, but you can bet I will drop in again next time I'm out west. read more

ATTENTION WICKENBURG- UP YOUR FOOD GAME!! It's really unfortunate that this place is Wickenburg's only tie to Asian dining. I ordered the following: steamed fried pork dumplings, egg drop soup, house special low mein, and kung pao beef. My meal came with white rice and crispy wonton strips. The only saving grace for this meal was the egg drop soup. The soup is what I'm accustomed to when ordering it. However, everything else was extremely bland. There was no seasoning to any of the dishes. The complimentary fortune cookies had more flavor. I will say that the pricing is pretty great especially for the portion sizes. I'll have leftovers for a week. If you're in search for late-night, greasy takeout then this would be a good option. But don't expect anything amazing. read more

The food was ok but the restaurant is dirty. Never was in kitchen but there was roach's crawling all over the floor. Nasty dirty pink lacy curtains on the windows and pots and pans everywhere to catch rain water. How clean can that be? also dirty pink lace covering up who knows what on the ceiling. Could not enjoy my meal seeing all of the that. I did see a lot of towns people eating there. I'm surprised the haven't said anything about this.
