We held a birthday luncheon for my mother's 94th birthday on a Sunday. I had made reservations a month in advance and had confirmed numbers a couple of times during the month. The restaurant also contacted a couple of times to confirm. We had about 40 guests and they all enjoyed the variety of food available for every age group. In addition, the entire staff was extremely accommodating, even playing happy birthday music while we sang. Food 1/5 Quality is what's expected for the price you pay. It's pretty cheap for a buffet. I went during weekday lunch with my husband and we both said we wouldn't return. I was craving asian food and I left like I still wanted another meal. They have a ton of options which is a good thing, it's just the flavors and quality were so sub-par for me. Sushi looked scary... We have been going fairly regular for the buffet and because it has been good. We went not too long ago and it was not the usual. Most items were not hot not even the soup. Yesterday we went again and to our disappointment . The food was not hot not even very warm , basically we had a cold plate for whatever our choices. Our waiter was NOT ATTENTIVE AT ALL. I brought my first plate and left it at the next table. He just kept walking by it but would not clear the table. This place has gone DOWNHILL! I don't know we will be back anytime soon.. So we went recently like (3 months ago) with our grandson for the Sunday All You Can Buffett! We were excited as always....we love coming here! The food is always tasty and the buffett has so much to offer1 This time, I saw FROG LEGS!!!!!! I love frog legs, so I grabbed a few and put them on my plate... I ate about 3 of them and they tasted ok....not as good as I have had before. Afterwards we went shopping and came home. I started to feel sick.. I got hot and sweaty, my stomach was churning. Needless to say, since I was the only one that ate the frog legs, i was the only one that ended up sick. Yup, I got food poisoning from the frog legs....now I am scared to ever eat them again. At the front cashier counter. We were advised that only one senior discount was allowed at one table! We are both seniors and thought things must be getting real bad. We were seated and noticed that all the food handlers did not speak any English. ( Are they undocumented??) The management (Chinese) also did not speak good English. MOST OF WZ EMPLOYEES ARE HIRED IN CALIFORNIA (UNDOCUMENTED) and sent to Chinese business all over the States. This was told by the Chinese who was hired as a server. The quality of their food is poor. Most of the food are left out until they are dry and overcooked. My white rice in the pot was sticky and hard from sitting all day. The sushi was dry and hard. The sticky rice was bland and had no taste. They must of changed cooks because the taste and preparations of the food was soggy or bland. Where are the health dept inspectors? Do they still exist. When we were done. The same woman cashier asked us for ID! It should of been done before having to eat. SO WE WILL NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE ANYMORE. read more

I don't do buffet's often but this was worth it. I've been to WZ's other restaurants and have been very impressed. This was a pretty good buffet. It's clean and friendly. I can't remember everything that was available, but that's a good thing. I browsed the buffet and tried as much as I could fit on my first plate and it was all pretty solid. My second plate, I went back for the dishes that I couldn't fit on the first plate. Again, all good dishes. Excellent food at this Asian buffet! It has everything from your normal Asian foods, but also includes pizza, sushi, crab legs, hot wings, and hibachi!! The salad bar consisted of iceberg lettuce, and some fruit so that was a little bit lacking, as well as their desserts, just lack a certain sweetness to them. However, we still love the place we've come here before, and we will be coming back.! I will say the staff also is very polite, but I wouldn't use the word friendly. They don't smile, nor make any type of conversation at all that I have seen a few times we've been there. Again still a great place.!! read more

Iv'e been here a few times since opening. It seems the food quality has gone down. Everything I tried tasted the same, not that good. The sushi rolls all tasted the same whether a California roll or spicy tuna, same. The chicken dishes all about the same taste, chicken chewy and bland. Orange chicken heavily breaded. Don't know where to start! This is the 4th time I have eaten here in the last 3 years. The first 3 times were fantastic, this visit on Saturday was horrible at best. I am an oyster fan, and I know they have oysters on the weekend. Well, just came from the annual train show in Prescott and was looking forward to a nice meal. I live in Kingman, ant they are supposed to open a location there. They have had a sign up for over the last 3 years and they are still not there, but that's another sad story. This time, I arrived at noon, and should have looked at the buffet first. The selection was not the same as usual and the quality of the food was awful at best. You pay a premium for the weekend and boy did I get ripped off. I went over to where they have oysters and there was 6 to pick from. 3 of them had a yellow slime on them and the others where warm??? I asked them to put out some fresh oysters and waited over 1/2 hour with nothing done. I asked again, and was totally ignored. So after 45 minutes, and having 2 very small plates of dorm food, I had enough. The food that was there was way too salty and cold! Now this was 12:00 noon on a Saturday. After that experience of being ignored and no oysters, frankly I hope they don't come to Kingman. What a terrible experience this was. Go to a real Chinese restaurant, these people are frauds!!!!!!!!!!! read more

It is kind of a pan asian place with a mix of Shanghai style and a little bit of northern Chinese, mixed with Japanese and some Korean food. When you try to do everything, the result is usually poor. Chicken sauteed with red chili peppers was as tough as a saddle. Broccoli beef was pretty mushy. I know its a buffet, but nothing that i tried really was all that good. The service was fine and friendly. Nothing bad to say there. I would maybe bring a bunch of hungry teenage boys here for dinner, but it's not a place for anyone who has actually spent time in Asia and enjoyed the food. read more

While this was our second time visiting Prescott, AZ, My husband wanted to eat at AZ Asian Buffett again, as our first time was over the summer when they first opened. AZ Asian Buffet and was absolutely amazing once again! The buffet boasts a wide variety of choices, but my favorites were the salmon, egg rolls, egg fried rice, and, of course, the egg tarts. I was thrilled to find that they have amazing egg tarts--one of my all-time favorite Asian cuisine treats! For families with picky eaters, this place is a gem. They offer pizza and potato wedges for the kids, as well as individualized ice creams and plenty of desserts to satisfy any sweet tooth. And if you're into sushi, you're in luck--they've got that too. One of the highlights for my kids was sitting by the chairs facing the fish tank, which is filled with so many fish. They especially loved spotting the big, fat, happy fish in the tank. Overall, I am so happy this restaurant is here. We will be making Prescott our home in the near future so this restaurant gives our family a fantastic choice for our weekly outing meal. We will definitely be returning! =) read more

We drove past the restaurant and decided to come back to eat there--and it didn't disappoint! I loved the umbrellas hanging from the ceiling; they added such a fun and unique touch to the atmosphere. After reading reviews of this new restaurant, good and bad, I wanted to try it myself. My husband, 7-year-old granddaughter, and I went on a Sunday around 5 p.m. We had a little trouble finding it with our GPS. It is in Frontier Village, but across from the shops next to Golden Corral. While it was busy when we arrived, we did not have to wait to be seated. We were led to a booth in the front of the restaurant, which was quite convenient for the food areas. At this buffet, you pay after you finish the meal. The server took our drink orders, and we went off to the food stations. I headed directly to the hibachi area because fresh-cooked food was appealing. You choose your noodles, veggies, and meats to be cooked for you. Unfortunately, I got there at a bad time because the chef was grilling something for the buffet, and took FOREVER to finish, slowly clean the grill, re-oil it, and finally get around to taking my food and the lady next to me. He grilled my food as I looked around in vain for sauces to add to it. The only choices were garlic and something else. I had him put a little garlic on it. The wait would not have mattered if the hibachi food was good. Sadly it was not, which is why I took off one star. It was tasteless, probably due to the lack of sauces, and the meat (chicken and beef) was dry. I ate just a little of it. I don't like to waste food, but this was not yummy. :( However, the rest of the buffet was much better! The egg drop soup was good. The lo mein was delicious, with a perfect texture (not too soft or hard) and seasoned well. I ate a large portion of orange chicken, my favorite Chinese dish. It was not too spicy. The beef broccoli was also good. I had to ask the manager where to find the steamed rice. She led me to a big cauldron of it. I was not a fan of the crab rangoon, nor were my husband or granddaughter - much too sweet. It's a shame because my GD loves crab rangoon. However, she gave a resounding thumbs up to the rest of the buffet. The little one filled plate after plate and stuffed herself. We definitely got our money's worth for her (kids 3-10 are $9.99 for dinner; those under 3 are free). One review mentioned senior prices, but I saw no indication of any senior discount. I can't comment on the seafood because I do not eat it. But they offer pizza! GD ate 2 slices. Dessert was an assortment of little cakes, cookies, and all the Blue Bunny ice cream cups (chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla) you could eat. They also had fresh fruit, jello, and banana pieces covered with strawberry sauce (yum). Sat/Sun are all-day dinner prices, so we paid $18.99 for each adult and $9.99 for my GD. Before tip, with two drinks and tax, the bill came to $59.02. Not bad. You can save a bit by coming for lunch Mon-Fri. from 10:30 am - 3 p.m. Adults are $13.99 and kids are $7.99. Some of the employees don't speak English. I asked one busboy where to find steamed rice, but he couldn't answer me. Cleanliness was fine for a busy restaurant with a lot of traffic. The large ladies' restroom was clean and well-stocked. The restaurant became much busier as we ate our meal. By the time we left at 6:15 pm, it was really hopping. They close at 9 pm. It was excellent as far as buffets go- service was quick and friendly, and all of the food we had was hot, even though we arrived after a typical lunch time and were nervous we may be getting "the leftovers" from the lunch rush. Went here on a Sunday and the place was packed. There were two of us and we were put on a waitlist but didn't take us 5 minutes to get seated. However, if you are a bigger group, I believe you are going to wait longer. There was a variety of food to choose from, and for a buffet, the taste was pretty good from all the food that I tried. Place could be cleaner because the floor near our seat has a bit of grains of rice on it, but I understand that there are a lot of customers and it will get dirty as the day goes on.
