Super mid. Nothing at all memorable. Nothing in particular wrong either, just very blah and pretty expensive for lunch specials. We spent 45 dollars for one soda and two lunch specials (with tax and tip). I would have enjoyed Panda Express much more. I took my leftovers home, but ended up throwing them out. We ordered egg rolls, lemon chicken and general Tso's chicken. I laughed reading about the general's chicken. It is a secret recipe that goes back to ancient China. That's all a bunch of baloney. It was developed in the 1900's either in San Francisco or somewhere in China. That should have been my first clue. Both the lemon and general's chicken were identical. Meaning they were prepackaged in some industrial factory shipped frozen and barely deep fried in house. Mostly made of batter. You can see that in the pictures. The sauces were very sweet. Lemony for one and no seasoning for generals. Definitely no spice. But hey, old people like sweet stuff. And all they need is nutrition. The egg rolls came out fast. Too fast. Mine was cold in the middle and very mushy and pasty. Kind of like baby food. The old man that seated us had a mask on but only covering his mouth. He was the only Asian I saw in the place. We've eaten here many times. Dinner or lunch.... both have always been delicious! Service is super nice and professional. We've never had to send anything back. Temperature and taste are always perfect! The restaurant and staff are always very clean, comfortable, and quiet. I came in on a Friday around dinner time. There were a few customers in the dining area. The dining area was well lit and generically decorated and definitely geared towards clientele that doesn't know the difference between Cantonese and Szechwan food. The menu was large. I ordered the General Tso chicken and fried rice. Very mild and nary a chili pepper in the dish. Fried rice was an upsell and was just plain rice with some seasoning without carrots, peas, or egg. Dined here on Christmas Eve (2024) after traditionally coming on this night for ten plus years. I have to say, the experience this year was a total disaster. I'm still shocked. Grossly understaffed; they had one server, one bus person and one cashier for the entire place! Tables were full, the phone was ringing off the hook and takeout orders were totally backed up. Needless to say, the staff was running around and nobody in the restaurant was happy; everything took longer than usual and when food came out, it was wrong. I had to (literally) fill my own table's waters and get our own take out containers. Not sure we'll be back next year given this change. Also, like others have commented, they changed the fried rice recipe to just meat and rice. Not good. read more

TERRIBLE and PATHETIC restaurant! First off one of their employees stole my brother's wallet. He left it on the table by accident, went to the parking lot & realized he forgot it. Came back in & table is bussed and his wallet is gone & no one says they have it. In a span of like 1 minute. And the restaurant was empty so it had to be an employee. SHADY AND WRONG!!!!!!! Management wouldn't even check with employees covering for one of them stealing. Besides that anyways the restaurant is grimy and food is trash. Very bland food. I'm from back East and I know great Chinese food. Back East is tradition to get Chinese food for the new year celebration. I went to Canton Dragon and it was a big let down. Cost over $40 for beef fried rice that was the worst I have ever had. Fried rice is supposed to have veggies stir fried in it, not a single one. Tasted terrible. Got barbecue pork slices and too much fat. The crab puffs were pretty decent. I will keep searching for great Chinese. But an FYI, if your ever down in Surprise, AZ Big Buddha has excellent Chinese. read more

Had lunch today. I have read some bad reviews regarding this restaurant. I've learned over the years not to rely on others opinions especially when it has to anything to do with Culinary reviews. What a huge disappointment this Chinese cuisine was!!! We are new to the area and seeking good restaurants. The only Chinese restaurant we had tried so far was the local drive-through Panda Express. So when my husband found this one, we had high hopes. He ordered a variety of food for takeout. Our hopes were dashed instantly when we began eating. Almost nothing was palatable. The wonton soup was mushy and tasteless. The orange chicken was dry, with too much breading. The chow mein lacked flavor. Neither of us could eat the paper- wrapped chicken because it tasted so bad. I don't usually bother with yelp. I am a 70 year old whose been to thousands of restaurants in my lifetime. But I just ate at the WORST CHINESE Restaurant I've ever been to. Honestly, I've been to about 600 or 700 of them since childhood. My favorite style of Chinese food is Cantonese. Despite the name, this Chinese Restaurant does not serve or prepare Cantonese food. Their version of it, is to cook up the lowest quality, cheapest quality, horrible food possible that can pass for a meal. The building is beautiful. They actually have 2 locations in Prescott. I assume the other one is just as bad because its under the same management. The first thing once you sit down, is a cup of free Egg Drop soup. It tasted and looked like green slime. But that was just for starters. New to the area, I wanted to try out all their main dishes, so I made the mistake of doing that; regardless of cost. Most things on the menu cost about $15/not so bad. Until the food arrived that is. The crispy noodle strips to put in our soup looked ok, but when you tasted them, you realized that they prepared them in stale oil. The flavor is the give away. Whenever they taste bitter, that's the rotten oil. When the oil is fresh, the strips have a sweet flavor. NOT AT CANTON DRAGON. The Wor Won Ton soup tasted like stale water. The Spare Ribs were almost entirely fat, with a few pieces of rancid pork hiding in between, that was too chewy to manage or eat. It was clearly the cheapest grade of ribs possible, which was made even worse by the vomit flavored BBQ sauce it was smothered in. We took it home for our dogs (almost all of them). Then, there was the Pork Fried Rice. The pork wasn't actually pork. It was little cubes of fat. They were embedded in rice that wasn't quite fluffy at all. It was like goo. It stuck together as if it was basted in cheap grease, once again, probably stale. The flavor of the fried rice was horrible; much worse than the plain white rice they set down at our table, which was the ONLY THING THAT TASTED GOOD out of the entire dinner. They made good white rice. My daughter ordered the honey chicken. I didn't want to tell her it was terrible from just looking at it, but she figured it out on her own, after eating one or two small pieces, that were entirely made up of stale breading. There was no visible chicken inside them. Again, the sauce was like a different flavor of vomit, than the other sauces they gave us smothering other foods on the table. The Egg Rolls were just excuses to sell their stale oil to customers. They had no flavor other than that of stale oil. The list goes on and on. YOU HAVE ALL BEEN WARNED. I see some positive reviews of this restaurant and cannot believe the words these people wrote. One said they grew up going here, which might help explain their positive review; because they have little to compare it to. I guess we all have different opinions, which is why these reviews don't really help people make proper decisions. However, I am new to the area, and I was desperate to find a good Chinese Restaurant. I intentionally did not ask the manager to take the food back, or give us a credit on our $120 bill, BECAUSE I WANTED THE MEMORY OF THIS HORRIBLE RESTAURANT TO STING. I find the reviews bizarre. I have been coming here for over 10 years. Best Chinese in the area, which isn't saying much. Service has always been fast and polite. Food is fresh and good, but a little on the bland side, but I expect that in Arizona. I lived in China Town in New York and this food isn't that, but it's the closest I have found in this area. I have never, in over a decade eating there, gotten bad service or food that didn't seem fresh. The person who said that the egg roll was a spring roll is right, but I haven't gotten a real egg roll at any Chinese place in AZ. read more

Sorry food was horrible. Got shrimp In lobster sauce and fried rice. The Shrimp in lobster sauce was all green peppers and onions with no Chinese vegetables at all. The fried rice looked like overcooked brown rice. It was bland and not what I was expecting at all. For paying over $20 just for my order it was not worth anything.
