Got three dishes to go and it took only 15 min before we picked up our dinner. Each of the dishes had distinct flavor and portion was quite large. Got kung Pao chicken, Singaporean mai fen and chicken with eggplant. First two dishes had some kick but not overly spicy. Chicken dishes were $14 and came with rice, and the mai fen was $13. Very flavorful without being too oily. Will be back to try more dishes! read more

Having moved away 4 years ago and recently in town for a visit what a joy it was to experience some authentic fresh Chinese food. Family owned and operated these folks didn't miss a beat. I just moved to Connecticut and will be moving to Monroe very soon. I have found my GO-TO restaurant for Chinese take-out. There aren't many options out here for good Chinese and so far it hasn't disappointed. Their lunch specials are nicely portioned, priced well, and taste good. I have enjoyed their hot and sour soup and the chicken with garlic sauce. Will be coming here again and often. read more

Only downside is no delivery. First time trying and all the food was really good. We had crab Rangoon, boneless spare ribs, pork fried rice, low mein, general tsaos chicken, sweet and sour chicken and shrimp with garlic sauce. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Vegetable fried rice had an abundance of veggies - was packed to the brim - but someone who's used to eating fried rice with flavor, Either salt, garlic, or sesame, there was none. The veggies were fresh but nothing had any taste. I find this very very common for all Chinese restaurants in Monroe. It's like they are afraid of over season so they completely under season. I've tried shrimp Lo mein from here and again, fresh but zero taste. Nothing special. Just basic run of the mill noodles. New wok in Newtown has decent Lo mein, but if you're really looking for that smoky flavored amaziness try Tai Jiang in Fairfield. Oh also, worth mentioning, the woman who works behind the counter is relentlessly miserable, short, and dismissively rude. I thought the first time I just caught her on a bad day, but other people I've mentioned this to have said they experienced the same. read more

Best Chinese take out in Monroe. I have tried pretty much every Chinese place in town and this one is my favorite. Quality is great for Chinese take out, doesn't leave you feeling gross after. Other places in town are inconsistent and have been lacking in quality. Very happy with this place after being disappointed by my typical go to's (great fortune, peking tokyo). Ordered online. Arrived when the food was supposed to be ready. I was told that it would be five minutes. It was actually 35 minutes. If they had the decency to be honest then I could've made use of the time and come back. But they would rather not tell the truth and then does it even have the decency to apologize.. No regard for the customer. And the food is terrible. You would need to have your head examined to eat in this place read more

We live in the area, and this place is better than other options in the neighborhood. Customer service is really nice and food is usually good. Most of the time, we are quite pleased with the food. However, like other reviews have mentioned, battered chicken dishes like Orange Chicken, are rather mediocre. An exception may be the lemon chicken, which has breaded thin slices of chicken. The downside is that the sauce that comes with it (which they give in a separate container) is not that great. It has bit of a bitter taste and looks like cloudy corn syrup. I have requested lemon chicken with the orange chicken sauce on the side once before, and they met my request. Despite the hit or miss with the battered/breaded dishes, the place is still our go-to place for local Chinese. read more

This has become my favorite Chinese food in Monroe! I work in the same plaza and I always look forward to my weekly splurge here. I usually get crab rangoons or spring rolls as a quick snack, and they're absolutely delicious. For meals, the orange chicken and sweet and sour are excellent as well. Everything I've tried has been delicious, and it's always fresh and prepared quickly. Everyone who works there has been extremely friendly and welcoming, so I'm happy to continue giving them my business. read more

Absolutely our go-to for Chinese food. The woman who owns it is super nice and her kids help out which is great. The food is always really good. Solid chinese food. Agree with other reviewer, boneless spare ribs are really good! Not at all fatty and get a yummy caramelization. Husband had orange chicken which he liked. I had chicken with mushrooms and it was pretty standard. Brown rice smelled a tiny bit weird but tasted fine. Will order from here again. read more
