I have been wanting to try this place for months. We tried the following: Dream cream - it is a filled donut dipped in chocolate and drizzled with white icing cream filled. Just ok Key lime pie - it is filled with a homemade crème made with fresh lime juice, drizzled with white icing - Liked it Lemon - Filled with a homemade crème made with fresh lemon juice, drizzled with white icing - didn't like the filling. Had a bit of a disappointing visit here this morning, and it saddens me as well had such high hopes. We picked up a half dozen donuts and I didn't enjoy any of the three that I tried. The peanut butter chocolate donut flavor was just off, and too soft as the filling was falling out. The glazed donut was the most underwhelming basic donut I've ever had. But the cherry on top was the blueberry donut... It looked great, almost like a fritter. But it was not cooked at all. The inside was gummy dough. We were already driving back across the state when I noticed this, so there was nothing I could do about it. read more

What can you say about a donut shop with 30+ varieties of donuts? Lots of good choices....my banana cream and powdered creme filled were outstanding, as weee the key lime, chocolate iced and vanilla iced, apple fritters, glazed, and coconut-chocolate glazed. A dozen cost $11.50. Coffee was dark and good! Other locations are in Reading Terminal and University City in Philly and Germantown MD. Glad there is one tucked away in Lancaster as well! On par with Sunnyside bakery in Terre Hill for flavor variety... A perfect stop before heading to the F&M dog park nearby. I went to Beiler's Donuts in Reading Terminal Market one day and my fam and I enjoyed the donuts. While driving through Pennsylvania, we dropped by this Beiler's in Lancaster and figured this must taste as good as Reading Terminal's. We were wrong. We bought a dozen donuts and they tasted dry and old. The donuts with crème on it tasted super artificial. Big regret and waste of money! Also, the batter for the donuts is kept out and exposed to the air all day. I do not think that's safe because anyone could slip anything into the batter, bugs can fly into it, etc. Additionally, the young female worker there had attitude. While my fam and I were looking at the donuts and thinking if we were going to order anything such as beverages, she kept rushing us and looked annoyed. Ice cream and cones are also sold here and we wanted to get some. Unfortunately, the employee kept her dirty purse with all the toppings and equipment that I figured things were contaminated and decided not to get any. I do not recommend this place. read more

BEST DONUTS EVER! I first tried these donuts at the Reading Market in Philly in December and WOW! I'm from out of state and visit family in Pennsylvania a couple times a year. When I found out their headquarters were in Lancaster and close to my family, I had to go! I LOVE the FRUITY PEBBLES donuts! If you've ever had Krispy Kream donuts, they're similar in that they melt in your mouth but even better toppings! We got an assorted dozen. The Key Lime donut tasted better than any pie I've had. The S'mores donut was also fantastic with a slightly charred marshmallow. The glazed donut is also a trusted classic. If you're ever in Philly or Lancaster you definitely have to go here! The Lancaster location is nicer than the one in Philly but it's all about the donuts! read more

Verdict: Beiler's bagels aren't bad but Beiler's donuts hit the sweet spot. My apple fritter here was great. Hands down one of the best I've had in a while. You'll find all the traditional donut varieties here and then some. I've seen plenty of jelly donuts but I'll have to go back and try their PB&J. Not a bad cinnamon raisin bagel but I'd say they're specialty is the donuts. The F&M students know the deal and they appear to be the most frequent patrons. Beiler's offers I've cream and coffee as well as their baked goods. I haven't had either so I'm unable to speak to those. I would gladly go for a fritter and a coffee here though. read more

First of all, a point of clarification. Beilers is Not just a 'donut' shop. To call these donuts is unfair. This location is not quite as old school as the Reading Terminal in Philadelphia, but still well worth the trip to beautiful Lancaster. It's housed in a trendy refurbished warehouse alongside some other nice food options. While there are no bad ones here, my heart lies with their several maple offerings. A word of caution, though, you'll have regrets if you don't just go ahead and buy a dozen. In fact, they knock a couple of dollars off if you buy three dozen. Gift them. Your friends will thank you. Probably just 5 minutes off 30 West. Near Franklin and Marshall College. For those of you in Harrisburg, Baltimore, or DC considering the trip, let me help out...yeah, these are totally worth it. read more

Ok so these donuts are kind of famous... you can find them in Philadelphia at Reading Terminal Market too! They are a donut style unlike any you've likely had before- incredibly light and airy. Not the traditional dense, heavy and rich donut (but I do love those too!). The first time my family tried them we got a dozen and ate half of them in the parking lot... oops. The downside to the lighter donut is you can easily eat SO MANY without really trying. I want to say a dozen will cost you around $10. The shop itself has plenty of seating and an outside table or two. They also offer coffee, milk and other drinks. Donut flavors like: key lime, mocha, chocolate peanut butter, the Elvis, maple bacon, fruity pebbles, apple pie, m&m's, etc. and also the norms like old fashioned, glazed, jelly filled, powdered and fritters. Pickup and delivery are available through GrubHub, just be aware that they sometimes forget to close out the pickup order so the app says it's in progress, but it's ready to go on the counter. Just get there when the app says it's should be ready and you won't have any issues. I love the harvest apple and coconut custard donuts! Was looking for something different than the usual donut places in Lancaster and stumbled upon Beiler's. I was not disappointed. Service was super quick and friendly, 30+ donut options and probably the best part, the donuts looked instagram ready and tasted amazing. The creme filling on some of the donuts could have more flavor or taste more like what the name is (key lime, peanut butter, etc) but the creme is light and fills the entire inside of the donut, which is nice. The donuts are just ok. I'm writing a 4 star review because the customer service is great and the selection is really inventive. The donuts are loaded with confectioners sugar to the point the flavor of the donut is overwhelmingly sugar even when other flavors are involved. Even the flavor of the pastry is completely lost. They're good with coffee as a sweet treat and they're cheap. The price is pretty low for an independent place. I've tried banana cream, apple, and Nutella and they all had the overwhelming sugar element but again, they're fine with coffee as a cheap road snack. One other thing. They store the fillings and toppings in open containers on the counter. Why they're never covered is a mystery to me but it doesn't seem like a good idea. read more

Saw a segment on Good Day Philadelphia about Beiler's a few days before I was going to be in Lancaster so I checked their location and decided to stop by. The Blueberry and Apple Fritters were very good ( Apple Fritter was the best I ever had ) The Maple Creme was not very good. If it wasn't for the Apple Fritter I would have given 3 stars. There was a very minimal taste of maple. I am a big maple fan, always bring home maple products from Canada and love the maple frosted donuts we get up there. However this donut was stuffed with "maple creme" and then maple iced and topped with a few chopped pecans. I've I didn't know what I was supposed to be tasting I never would have been able to guess. The Peanut Butter Chocolate donut was pretty good although very sweet. It has a mild peanut butter creme filling and iced with a delicious chocolate icing. Beilers was good to try, wouldn't pass it by but also wouldn't go out of my way. read more

So me and my mom actually found about this places through our tax guy. My mom recently moved to lancaster county and we've been exploring all the restaurants, bakerys and shops. As soon as you walk into Beiler's it smelled like donut heaven. I've never seen such a variety of donuts. These are some of the best donuts I've had.
