Cute takeout space. Busy on a Saturday late morning. Takeout orders piling up on counter. Friendly service. I put in an online order for 11:15 but showed up early. Glad to see my order of donuts and bagels were not sitting waiting for me. I had to let them know I was early and they worked on my order after about 5 minutes and it was ready in 10. Donuts super fresh and warm. So good. $1 donuts on 2nd and 4th Sat but I didn't get the deal online. Bagels were not soft or super fresh but toast up fine after being sliced and frozen. I could not eat one out of the bag, sadly. Everything bagels loaded with toppings. Also out of the jalapeño cheddar (told it was tomorrow's special but I could order online. Bummer). All in all, I would go here for the donuts but not a fresh bagel based on my sole experience.

Excellent bagels! Stopped in early on a week day and there was no line to order. Delicious donuts as well.

    John Taylor Sandwich

You can tell this place *can* be really good... but our experience was just not good at all. Went on a Sunday morning at about 9:45am, and the service was bad. Apparently they were short staffed, but regardless the worker up front had zero customer service skills. Kitchen was weirdly quiet. Vibe was just really bad. After a 30 minute wait for 2 sandwiches, we finally ate. Bagels weren't fresh, but you can tell there's great potential when they are fresh. I got the John Taylor - Pork roll, Egg, cheesy onions. Pretty expensive. Overall I'd go elsewhere in Lancaster where there are so many other cafes/breakfast places with better service, better prices, and a better environment.

Delicious bagels and donuts. We went to the lititz location and it was clean and well run.

So everyone is wondering "Does Lancaster have decent bagels yet?" The answer (now) is YES The bagels are made with sour dough so fresh bagels taste like a standard bagel, the next day that bagel tastes like sour dough bread. A NY bagel has a profound crunch when you bite through it, these are crispy but don't have that crunch (I hope that makes sense) Whether an everything bagel, sesame or poppy they are covered top to bottom in the seeds of your choice, they have a wonderful fluffy (not too doughy) interior (see close up pictures)

Looks like they have a new name - Round Breads Bakery - but everything else is just the same. Same awesome bagels, same staff, etc. got two excellent bagel sandwiches and a dozen to go. The big plus compared to last time was I didn't have to wait for them to make the dozen. They pulled them fresh from the rack and I was out the door! I highly recommend them... they were making bagels as they were selling them. They couldn't be any fresher! Soooo good!

We got the Breakfast BLT on an everything bagel. All the ingredients tasted really fresh. The bacon was especially good and not overcooked. The bagel had the right consistency - not too doughy like many of its Dutch country counterparts. Only improvement I'd make is to toast the bagels more for the sandwiches. We'd asked for ours toasted, but it wasn't noticeable. I hope these folks can buck the trend of bagel shops not surviving in Lancaster. They certainly have a good shot, considering the line out the door on a Saturday morning. Overall a great experience with very friendly staff and a filling meal to start the day. I especially appreciated them telling us we'd be waiting about 20 minutes for our order, even though it didn't take that long.

Great bagel spot in Lancaster city. Hours are spot on. Food is amazing. Coffee is good. Service is friendly and quick. We visit at least once every time we're in Lancaster.

Love this place. I had ordered multiple times from their Lancaster Bagel Club before they had this brick and mortar location. They offer fantastic breakfast sandwiches and I recommend getting a fried egg (versus scrambled). They bagels have the perfect toasted outside with a chewy middle!

The former Two Poodles bagel shop is now Round Breads. Still the same Fresh bagels and donuts! We ordered to go and enjoyed our bagels at home, as the small shop doesn't offer dine in services.

We used to get their bagels delivered and loved them then but this is another step up. Superb bagels with the right balance of crunch on the outside and soft chewiness on the inside. Bagel sandwiches are tasty and they turn around orders quickly. High quality ingredients in the hands of great bakers make for a high quality food. Really happy their brick and mortar store front is finally open.

This is a tiny spot with a lot of fans, so expect a wait!…read more My husband and I came here for brunch while staying in Lancaster - we were expecting to have to wait due to how busy it was on a Saturday morning, but we were amazingly able to be seated immediately (there were 2 last spots by the door). It's not the most comfortable place due to the size, but the smells and vibes are good, so it's worth checking out. I got the blue crab benedict with potatoes and my husband got the short rib tacos. Service was quick and we were overall impressed with the food! My one gripe is that they didn't have any fun coffee drinks, just black coffee from what I saw.

And then they charged us full price. And that was the final nail. We made a reservation for a noon brunch on a Sunday, we knew it was going to be busy and we got seated right away, amazing! And then it was down hill from there. We were seated right by the bussing station, I was staring at dirty dishes my entire meal, at one point I was hit and I spilled my entire cup of coffee all over my table and lap and had to clean it up myself. The French press itself was border line in drinkable. The grounds were too finely ground causing there to be grit throughout the entire pitcher of French press. We each had about one mug each. The food came out and my over easy eggs were over medium at best, the entire bottom of the yolk was hard through to the middle. Only one biscuit got gravy. And then once my partner finished his eggs he found a long black hair under where the eggs were. Needless to say we were very much done with The Bread Pedaler by the time this happened. We let the waitress know. She brought the check, which still included the food we didn't eat because there was a hair in it. Not wanting to start anything we just paid (still tipped 20% because I'm not a jerk) and left. I wish this was the great review I was hoping to leave. I was so excited to eat here. But this was truly one of the worst experiences I've had in years.

Introduction:…read more Representing 2018 in alphabet series, O is for On Orange. The letter O only has 5 of the 8 possible years represented in the alphabet series. Interestingly, 2 of them are in Lancaster County, PA. This was prior to my parents moving to Lancaster in 2021. In March 2018, my girlfriend of that time & I took a day trip to Lancaster. I lived in Montgomery County, Maryland (near DC) at the time, and we were meeting up with a friend who was living in New Jersey kind of in the middle. We agreed to meet at On Orange at 12 PM on that Sunday, March 25 since we were driving from far away, and I think they were doing a day trip too, but possible they stayed a night in town, not sure. Also, On Orange closes at 1 PM too, so even more reason to be punctual. My g/f of then was notoriously late & took a long time to get ready. She was taking too long to get ready, and I knew we needed to leave if we even had a chance of making it on time. After a while I said I don't want to do this, but I will leave without you & meet my friend (& his girlfriend). I started the car and texted you have 1 minute to come out, and if you aren't out, I'm leaving without you. My timer reached 0, and I slowly was driving off, but I saw her shuffling with her coat and what have you leaving, so I waited. We got in the car, and I rushed off. If that weren't bad enough, my g/f said we needed to stop at her bank to get cash. Of course, there was none right within route, but saw a location right off I-83 in northern MD, Hunt Valley, but we wasted more time to get off the freeway, for her to go to her ATM, & get back on the freeway when we were running significantly late. I said we are running significantly late as it is, so why are we wasting more time. She claimed in case there was something she wanted to buy in Lancaster, but that was not the primary purpose, but I'll get to that at the end. I was panicking on the significant late, and that the restaurant closes at 1, and I drove above 100 mph at times on I-70, which I think was the only time I've ever gone that fast on 70, and maybe only 4 times ever in my life reaching that speed. Experience with the Restaurant: This is street parking around here, which was free meters on Sunday. We got a decent parking spot a block away. We walked in at 12:50 PM, which was 50 minutes LATE and 10 minutes before On Orange's closing time of 1 PM. My friend & his girlfriend were already done eating. He said that they had their stomach set for eating at 12, and there was pressure to order since it's not a huge place and pretty busy. I was annoyed with my friend for not waiting for us, but I get it because let's be honest, my g/f fault on that one. Server was cordial, and my g/f & I quickly ordered. Food came out quickly. We ate quickly, and my friend & his g/f watching us eat. Food was delicious, and they were quick, but to be fair, they were closing in 10 minutes, so they were motivated to get out of there. I got a pancake & egg dish as I recall. This was a top notch brunch. In spite of the negative experience of being so late because of my g/f, the experience at the restaurant was excellent. Conclusion: After brunch, we looked around downtown, Amish Farm (see my 5-star review of them written in April 2018), etc. and was overall a nice day with the 3 of them albeit very cold. After we left, I took the back road from I-83 all the way back to Germantown, MD where she lived to see something different and to save a little gas too since it's pretty direct going that way. My g/f was complaining about it taking so long getting back. I knew she was meeting up with a friend that night. But what I later realized, she wanted to stop at an ATM that morning really because she needed cash to pay that friend for cannabis that night. So, she disrespected everyone's time for this. I guess on a positive at least she wasn't cheating on me with that guy and really was just for pot. In conclusion, I thought On Orange was top notch, and they were accommodating to our time schedules.

This was efficient because our meal came out and another server was able to grab the items off the robo-server and give them to our table.  The food was very good and portion sizes were equal to the price. When we were seated, we were given the prix fixe food menu but never provided with a drink menu. We were served water, but our waitress didn't ask if we'd like cocktails, wine, or any featured Valentine's drinks. For a special occasion dinner, that felt like a major oversight. The bigger issue, though, was the food. Several courses were noticeably undercooked and difficult to enjoy. The carrot salad had hard, undercooked carrots and a very bitter sauce that overwhelmed the dish. The grilled Badger Flame beets were also undercooked and had an unpleasant flavor. The beet risotto was firm and lacked the creamy consistency you expect from a properly prepared risotto. The halibut tasted overly fishy and seemed undercooked in the center. For $75 per person on Valentine's Day, we expected a polished, thoughtfully executed experience. Instead, the meal felt poorly prepared and not worth the price. It was an unsatisfying way to spend what should have been a special evening. The ambiance was very nice but the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired.
