White, cinnamon raisin and honey wheat buns.

Every time I'm in Strasburg, I stop at Michael's. They have by far the best homemade breads available. Most all natural homemade bread goes bad within a few days, but with Michael's, it's always good for at least a week after buying!! The staff is also very friendly and helping. Definitely my go to spot when I'm in Lancaster.

Stopped here in the morning to get a sticky bun! Waited a few minutes for the plain ones. While waiting we talked with the staff and the lady up front was very friendly. It was worth the wait. So good. Probably could have ate the whole thing in one sitting but I held myself back. So good especially when they are warm! Def recommend you stop if you're in the area.

A local bakery that offers a variety of housemade breads and baked goods. The hubs and I stopped by there to pick up some raisin bread and their sticky buns. I was super excited for the sticky buns as it was advertised in them having the best ones on their signage outside! Both were super fluffy and fresh! Make sure you get there early as they close at 3! Plenty of parking in their private lot. +sticky buns

I have been buying Michael's raisin bread for years and absolutely love it. Was so happy to hear that they have a mail order.

The best Sticky buns ever. We love them sliced in half, butter them up and put them in a Fry pan till they brown up. Delicious.

We purchased some sauces, gobs or whoopie pies as they are known in Lancaster, and some day old sticky buns and cinnamon bread.

Everything is made there by owner Vickiann Keene who I met along with one of her workers. Very friendly and welcoming and noticed we had stopped by the nearby donut shop. From viennoserie like danishes, muffins, scones, and cinnamon rolls, there is good selection to choose from. The scone I had was the raspberry white chocolate and was the choice when I asked for a recommendation. The scone was moist, just the right amount of crumbly you'd expect from a well-baked scone and the raspberry white chocolate flavor combination gave a light sweetness without being cloying. Same thing for the sticky bun which was amazing when warm. Not too doughy and the amount of sweetness I prefer in my viennoserie. The bakery also serves La Colombe coffee and makes other delicious items such as eclairs, cream puffs, cupcakes and dessert bars which all looked fantastic. Make a pit shop at Strasburg and try this bakery! Happy eating and remember: Don't deny, satisfy!

There was a sign on the door stating that only 4 people are allowed inside a time, social distancing must be observed, etc. There were already 2-3 people inside. A group 4 of women piled inside ahead of me and stood there talking. So I stood in the doorway, mask in hand, ready to put it on before entering, and respectfully asked if they are still limiting the number of people in the store. Bear in mind that fully vaccinated people no longer have to wear masks indoors. I was told, yes they are still limiting the number of people to 4 and can I please wear a mask. Then the girl turns to the group in front of me and said, "You can all stay." If you are going to pick and choose amongst your customers, I won't be one.

It is the sort of landmark that promises something memorable, or at least something sweet. Inside, the place leans heavily into its role as a stop-off for visitors. Shelves are filled with faux-Amish goods, hex signs, and a cheerful assortment of bric-a-brac, along with shirts that seem very proud of nearby towns with names that invite, shall we say a certain kind of humor. It feels less like a bakery and more like a general store that wandered into a theme. The people working there are genuinely kind, and generous with samples, which is always a wise and welcome strategy. We tried a bit of the shoo fly pie, and in the past we've tried some cookies, root beer, and ice cream. They were all perfectly fine. Pleasant, even. But they did not distinguish themselves from the many other places in Lancaster County offering the same treats with equal or better competence. Nothing here is bad. In fact, it is all quite enjoyable in the moment. But it is not something I would go out of my way for again. Far less so when the tourist busses are around. It is a place you stop at because you are already there, because the windmill caught your eye, because someone offers you a sample and you say yes. Three stars, for doing what it does well enough, in a place where "well enough" is abundant.

I haven't experienced that at other tourist traps, it's kind of odd. I'd say this is worth checking out at least once if you're in the area, but unless you want cheesy stuff it's a pass. Also I didn't really see any shoofly pies for sale (I might have missed them though).

The shop is located on East Main Street and has parking on both the side and the back. From the outside, I did not expect it to be very large, but the interior ended up being surprisingly spacious. The main area includes the ordering counter along with display cases and a Christmas tree, as it was right before the holiday. The cashier was especially nice to my kids and told us about a play area located in one of the side rooms, which we immediately headed toward. That room could seat around twenty four people and had wood floors along with black metal and dark wood chairs. The real win for us, though, was the kids play area. It was set up like a miniature version of the coffee shop, complete with play food and desserts, which kept our kids happily occupied while we enjoyed our drinks. For my coffee this morning, I went with the Gingerbread House Latte, and my wife chose the same. The coffee was very good. You got a solid coffee flavor up front, followed by a clear gingerbread note, and then it finished with a pleasant sweetness that lingered for a bit without becoming overpowering. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I enjoyed our coffees, and while I did not eat anything myself, my wife enjoyed her berry Nutella croissant and my daughter really liked her parfait.

I think their home made pies are something to try - the crust and crumble on their pies are a little different from typical American style pies - may be a little more dry and crumbly??. I didn't love the crumble but I liked the pie crust, but my husband loved it all. Doesn't hurt to try once but only for the experience.
