The delivery driver showed up to the venue exactly at 12:30 PM as promised and was very efficient and helpful. This delivery order made my family wedding day very easy. I have shopped here for years. somewhere along the way the younger employees started being incredibly rude. Yes, I'm a senior citizen and I always treat people with kindness and respect..unless they are ignorant to me. no eye contact, not even hello, acting like I'm a pain in the neck. I don't appreciate this in any establishment, especially one I frequent often. I worked in sales and customer service for over 40 years. if I had treated my customers like this I would not have had any customers! The prices and selection are fine but I am so tired of employees treating me so poorly. please give your people some customer service lessons. it's really not difficult to be friendly and say THANK YOU! read more

Called to make a large order for a wedding. Owner was out from the store for the week leading up to the wedding and didn't tell me at all. I found out because I wanted to make a change and he said he'd make it when he came back the day before the wedding. When I canceled my order with them to find a place that could do it sooner, the owner called me and said I needed to be respectful with the people I do business with and he "doesn't make any money when he puts together a quote just for someone to cancel". When I brought up how it wasn't respectful to not communicate with me that he would be away until the day before my wedding, he said "I know what the f*** I'm doing, I've been doing it for 30 years" and hung up. On top of that his numbers were way off. I ended up needing almost twice as much liquor as he said I would and his numbers were based off of an over estimation of guests. Thankfully the place I went with gave me a more accurate quote. Overall horrible experience with placing a large order. read more

My daughter was just married on 1/17/20, about a month before the wedding we started calling around looking a company to supply the alcohol for the wedding and no one got back to us despite all the emails I sent/filled out to various places. When I went in to Bel Air Liquors to purchase items for the holiday I happened to ask the young lady at the counter if Bel Air Liquors could help us out and she said YES my father is the owner and he would be more than happy to help! And that he did! He help picked out the wine and beer selection and how much we would need and we could not have been happier. The owner went above and beyond and I can not thank him enough! Made a trip here today while in the area. There is an almost overwhelming amount of variety here, as well as friendly staff. Anyone who complains about the selection or varieties sold here should really come to PA to shop at the state stores to realize how lucky they are to have quality stores like Bel Air Liquors. read more

Garbage liquor store with no selection and terrible prices.

Bel air Liquors...I was hesitant to post this in fear of some sort of retaliation after how I felt when I left this business. I made a purchase at register when one of the items there was a price discrepancy and he picked a random price which was inflated. I then questioned the price he became verbally abusive, using foul language. I felt very threatened. He acted like this in front of a couple of patrons that were in the store. I had asked an employee who he was and his response was. " He is the owner". I couldn't believe it. Had I checked on yelp prior to going into that establishment I would have seen the several other reviews. I like to try and support our local businesses but not in this case. I never knew calling some one a pleasant man was a warrant for being accosted and insulted by a business owner. The owner of this business clearly knows nothing about customer service and certainly does not know how to speak to a woman. I always support our local business and wanted to see what the liquor store was like after hearing it had a nice craft beer selection... without even making it in the front door I can say I will never return. The owner was not only rude but used aggressive and derogatory language after calling me the "b" word. I can not believe that someone like this is conducting business in our community. Shopped here before for convenience. Employees seem to be indifferent at best. Never had any of them ask "may I help you" or say "Thank you" at check out. When I say "thank you" when I pay, the response is always "not a problem". Gee, glad it's not a problem when I pay your salary. Today marks the last time I will ever set foot in this store. Walked in, I was the only customer on the premises, went to the cashier's counter, and there was a kid behind the counter texting on his phone. I stood directly in front of him for at least 30 seconds before he looked up at me and said "whassup". My response was "I would like to make a purchase, that's what's up". He immediately copped an attitude and glared at me as he filled the order. Had to ask for a bag that he didn't offer, and of course, no thank you, not even a "not a problem". That location is not cheap real estate. With their attitude towards customers, I can't imagine they will be in business for much longer. read more

Am really happy with Bel Air Liquors. They have decent prices with the best coupon offer ever (buy one get one 50% off -- equating to 25% off of a purchase of 2 bottle or more). Owner goes out of his way to work special order cases of wine for me, all at 25% discount. It is my go-to place. Interesting. I'm not from Maryland so it's a little different going to a liquor store. I got there with minutes to spare, the place is big, lots of selection. I was trying to get in and out, I walked in and asked the young gentleman in the front where the beer was and he pointed behind him with an annoyed expression. I made my selection and paid. Not impressed.....In fact turned off. Bunch of young college age no it all guys that were of no help. Prices extremely high .... $3.00 higher on wine than the place I usually go ...No attempt to match price. Didn't have another product I was looking for ....Had the brand but not the flavor. Again, no attempt at saying they would stock it in the future. I even stated that I moved to area recently & would shop there if they'd match price from another popular liquor store. Oh , it's pretty in there....But if the prices are too high & they don't have the product I want , what's the point? This store recently moved to a new location on Main street. I visited shortly before Thanksgiving and again today, the week before Christmas. I won't be making a third visit. Prepared to buy a variety of wines for gifts and for myself, I had a difficult time finding anything. There was no signage and the back wall is just that--a wall of bottles of wine without any indication as to what is where. The employee that I did ask for help didn't know anything--literally. I showed him the name of the wine I wanted written on my note. He directed me to a bottle of white wine when the variety I wanted was red! I decided that there would be no assistance there and left the store. If you want a little help in choosing your wine, I wouldn't recommend going to Bel Air Liquors. read more

I live in Bel Air north and this is my liquor store of choice. I stop here whenever I want a bottle of wine or a 6-pack. First, prices: I used to shop at Ronnie's and the wines here are anywhere from $2 to $5 cheaper. Beer is cheaper too. Next, customer service: Always a greeting at the door, always a "can I help you find anything?" and always a friendly cashier. No complaints. Good selection, good prices, and convenient location if you head up Main St to get home. read more

I have been here twice. Not impressed with the prices. My first visit the people behind the counter were very unfriendly and not at all helpful. Decided to give them a second chance since they are so close since I moved. My experience was worse this time.
