I have been wanting to stop in and try so we stopped here for brunch. From the outside driving on the road you would not expect this place to be that big inside. They have an outdoor seating, a dining area and a bar area. They have loads of TVs and some games around the bar. I know this location gets wild during the evenings. We got seated right away, they had their regular menu, drink menu, a brunch menu and it looked like a game day menu. They had lots to choose from, a lot of stuff I noticed involved crab stuff. As you would imagine they have a full bar. I ordered a cran orange crush. It was good just was not as cold as I'd like it to be. Our waitress was lovely and attentive. It was not very busy as we came for brunch around 12. I ordered the OG Benedict that comes with hash browns and some peppers and onions. Usually when I get the hash browns they have the peppers and onions chopped up small. Here, they were in bigger pieces, which was fine just different. The hollandaise sauce was a little sweeter than I am use to but otherwise it was good. My boyfriend has a pulled pork sandwich with fries. He said it was good, and the fries were good as well. I'd like to try this place again for some bar food like wings and such. Otherwise we had a good experience.

CRAB PRETZEL!! I come to maryland once a year out of state to see family and always stop here. Food is amazing, staff is awesome and drinks are always on point. Stop in and thank me later. Reviews don't do this place justice.

Pretty standard quality for a sports pub. Dark interior, a bunch of TVs with different sports on, and a large, but expected menu. Service was pretty slow for the pub being quiet on a Sunday afternoon. Tap water tasted a little dirty, prices were high but large food portions. Tasted good, but made me a little sick afterwards.

I sat outside on a beautiful day, they had someone playing guitar and singing. The waitress was awesome, very attentive but not overbearing. I had the Chicken Quesadilla and it was really good. I could tell they used fresh ingredients. I wish they would bring back the crab toast but I'll go back even if they don't!

Customer service - 5 out of 5 Wait time - 5 out of 5 Atmosphere - 5 out of 5 Cleanliness - 5 out of 5 Food quality - 5 out of 5 I wish I could remember the name of our waitress, but she was very friendly. Professional, knowledgeable of the menu, and attentive. Much better experience dining at this location as opposed to College Park location. Restaurant was fairly crowded, but we were sat immediately by the hostess and attended to quickly by our waitress. We were watching college basketball on one of the many screens throughout the restaurant. The noise level at the restaurant was good, I could easily talk to my son with no issues. Interior and exterior of restaurant was clean. My son ordered the "Build your own" burger which was a big portion and he loved it. I ordered the Old Bay wings which are expensive due to the inflation of food prices after the pandemic and that's not the restaurants fault. Wings were crispy and not overly seasoned which was nice. With a perfect score of 25 out of 25 stars, I give Looney's Pub Bel Air an A+ rating. We plan on visiting again soon.

    Amazing Nashville Chicken sliders!!!

The Draft Beer and Rail Cocktails were fantastic for the price. We split the Nashville chicken sliders they were very tasty . Highly recommend this bar in Hartford county, and Great Service from the bartender Sam, will be coming here in the future

    Good!

My chicken fingers & sweet potato fries were delicious. Good size portion. Thank you all.

This must be a primary food destination in Bel Air! Sports bar ambiance with the noise to boot. A buddy and I stopped by en route to a concert at a local music store. Parking was a challenge but we eventually landed a space. More surprising is the house was nearly packed at 1700 hours, yet we were immediately seated in the dining room and were instantly acknowledged by our waitress. Blame the busyness it on the NFL playoffs? Nope. This is typical of the house. Menu had Restaurant Week options, a Game Day option and the house menu which typical pub grub with some " elevated" options. We both ordered chili. For the main event, I ordered Looney's fish and chips and my friend ordered a "side salad". Chili was good and was plated with a huge portion of tortilla chips which could have easily been halved as both of us left about half the chips on our plates. A bit of wasteful, I think. My buddy's side salad wasn't as expected. It was a BIG SALAD and not the little plate of greens and stuff usually attributed to side salads. He couldn't finish it. My fish and chips were great and appeared to be house made and not a Sysco frozen item. I think they were beer battered and contained rockfish. The platter had a great number of fries. No problem here, but, there was an over abundance of tartar sauce. I enjoyed my Yuengling on tap yet my friend's Cabernet was pretty nasty. Overall a good but not great experience. Will consider a return visit when visiting the zip code.

Ask the Community - Looney's Pub North

Hey all, I have not been to Looney's Bel Air since 2004/05 and I would like to check it out. I remember how much I liked their wings back then. Anyone have any "must try" food recommendations other than the wings?

Wednesday is crab cake day. Crab cake and fries just ten dollars.

The spicy margarita was the perfect blend of heat and sweet (Sean was the bartender that made it). We ordered cheesesteak egg rolls (these alone are worth stopping into this place), sweet potato fries, tuna tenders, and the creamy tomato soup which is served like French onion soup is in a crock with melted cheese. Do not skip this soup! We were satisfied with all of the food choices. Every single bartender was super attentive and constantly checking to make sure that we were getting everything we wanted and needed. They were all super friendly and attentive. This is your typical bar atmosphere where everyone is friendly and people are enjoying themselves. There's two separate bar areas and ample seating around the main bar, as well in the other room. There is a back entrance and a front entrance into this restaurant. We have been to private functions here before. If you are looking for a venue for up to 150 people, check them out. They have very reasonable prices for catering and the set up of your own private room with your own private bar is a great option when hosting a gathering. The parking could be an issue as they have a very small lot. There are metered lots and streets nearby though so as long as you don't mind a super quick walk, you will be fine. I must repeat- get the cheesesteak egg rolls and the tomato soup.

This is a review of MaGerk's food truck at the Fallston Fire Department event on April 4th…read more In my opinion, an eatery's food truck should be an advertisement for the quality of the food at the main establishment. Therefore the food should be first rate. Not the case for the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich I ordered. In a word, it was terrible. Basically it was greasy hamburger meat spread over a mediocre bun, with little or no detectable cheese. I through most of it away. The fries I ordered were greasy and tasteless as well. My wife had their Smash burger, and that also was mediocre at best. NOT a good experience. Needless to say, I will not be ordering any more food from their food truck, nor will I go to their main establishment.

I am not sure…read moreif the kitchen was overwhelmed because of the event, but unfortunately our first experience was not great. The ambience itself was nice and it is in a great location right on Main Street in Bel Air. The space has a fun setup for events like comedy night and there is definitely potential for it to be a really enjoyable atmosphere. It did feel a bit chaotic during the event, which may have contributed to the overall experience, but the setting itself is inviting. Everything looked good when it came out, but flavor wise it was kind of all over the place. The Maryland crab soup had very sparse crab, and what was there were super fine shreds with no noticeable lump meat at all. It was also extremely thick, almost more like a sauce than soup, and very pepper heavy. The chicken cheesesteak was honestly the best thing we ordered. It had good flavor and no real complaints there. The fries that came with it and with the tenders were another story. They tasted like they had been sitting for a while and were just warm at best. The chicken tenders were juicy, which I will definitely give them credit for, but they had very little seasoning and almost no breading. I do not mind lighter breading, but without flavor it just fell flat. We also ordered mozzarella sticks and did not grab a photo, and those were the biggest disappointment. They tasted old, and both the breading and the cheese had this crumbly texture that just was not right. Service also was not the strongest. We asked a few basic questions and did not really get clear answers, and overall it just felt they didn't care. Maybe this was just an off night because of the event, but based on this visit, I am not sure we would rush back.
