Coffee was poor, tasted like it had been using the same ground to pass water through several times. The place is a little run down, which is okay. But the food was poor! The waffle was soggy. The fruit for the waffle had defrosted from a bag some days or weeks ago. The chicken strips were dry. Now was it just my meal that was bad? No. The others we had weren't too great either but I do feel like if you stop here you do want to try their hash browns. They are not your traditional hash browns. They are nice thick slices of potatoes. I did wish I tried the onion rings. They looked amazing, but they were for another table. Maybe next time I will try them. read more

The place lives up to their motto "Always Open & Always Delicious". It's the perfect restaurant for a quant and quiet evening out. Staff was super friendly and attentive. We were greeted right away and they immersed took our drink order. Food was delicious, filling and reasonably priced. Waffles were warm, light and fluffy. Chicken Tenders were HUGE. Booths line the windows so you can people watch as you eat. It's exactly the diner you imagine when you picture a 24/7 Waffle House. Bonus points cause the bathrooms were very clean. About what you would expect from a 24/7 diner like Denny's or Waffle House. I had a short stack of HUGE fluffy chocolate chip pancakes and a small hash brown. The hash browns were clearly a potato chopped up which honestly I like because you could tell it was a real vegetable at some point. More like homestyle potatoes. Really good food 24 hours a day at reasonable prices. I ordered the shrimp basket (which comes with fries) and the French dip sandwich (I chose onion rings as my side). They give you very generous portions of sauce on the side. I had fry sauce for the onion rings and the shrimp basket came with delicious authentic cocktail sauce on the side. TBH, the fries aren't the best that I've had, but certainly not the worst either. The French dip also came with its own Au Jus on the side. You are also allowed to choose your type of bread for the sandwich, in which I chose sourdough. I have been here many, many times over two decades and have pretty much tried everything on their menu. I never leave disappointed! They also are available through food apps if you're interested and close by. I've gotten my latest "friends" group hooked on them! "Heaps of pie" and cinnamon rolls the size of a large dinner plates. We didn't see these on the menu but we sure wish we had! We saw these beauties on our way out, so be sure to look for them on your way in. As for the grub we did get, the waffle was classically cooked; crispy exterior, soft interior. (I highly recommend the whipped cream and strawberry toppings.) And the breakfast burrito was great. A little underwhelming until we added salsa + ranch, but still a solid order. I personally think the best part about the Belgian Waffle & Omelette Inn is the staff. They were all so friendly and treated everyone like family. The only reason this place gets 2 stars is because the waitress was really good! She handled orders for our large crowd of 26 without a notebook! And she did it well! The Waffle House must have changed management! This used to be good food, but 2 kids found paper in their waffles. They were flavorless and paper thin. Yuck! Usual favorite brunch spots were busy with the weather improving, so we decided to try this place I've driven by hundreds of times with the vintage sign. I had the "Garbage Hash" and my daughter had a hamburger. That's what it actually states on the menu and labeled a "local favorite". It was terribly bland and undercooked. I want to start off with saying that their customer service was fair but the food was not. Portions were on the larger side but I had to salt and pepper ALL my food as it was quite bland. We ordered the cheese sticks and they came with a sauce that tasted like bottled tomato sauce, I sent it back because it didn't taste good at all. We replaced that appetizer with cheese fries and they didn't look appetizing at all to the point where we left it untouched. My partner and I ordered the same dish "2 pork chops." As I struggled to cut into my dry pork chops they shared some of theirs with me and they were juicy/tender which is odd because we ordered them at the same time. The cheese fries looked like they just sprinkled on shredded cheese and tossed it in the microwave. The pancakes were good, my muffins were decent, and my French toast needed some jam on top to help the taste and was hard to cut into bite size pieces. We waited a while to receive the check and when the waitress finally around she said " you guys are awesome for being so patient" but we were forced to wait. The Belgian Waffle is a no waffle. You cannot order a simple breakfast of eggs sausage and a waffle. The only waffle you can order is one loaded with fruit whipped cream and stuff. And, it is a small rectangular waffle, not the big round ones you can order at other restaurants. We ordered over easy eggs, sausage, hashbrown potatoes and toast. What we got was overcooked sausage and hard eggs. The hashbrowns we ordered came as chunks of potatoes with the skins. Our group of 16 guys rotate among many restaurants for breakfast weekly. Don't know why this place has gone downhill so rapidly, but it is no longer an appealing choice for breakfast. Oh well... strike it off of our list. read more

Some time passed, and my stomach started to growl. Let's call her "Becky" came back with our food in hand and a Marlboro-smelling breath that could land a knockout punch like Mike Tyson. As for the food, let's just say we would have been better off with the $1 menu at McDonald's than eating the garbage disposal cuisine they served us. Belgium Waffle may have been a hit in the early 90s, but this place has aged like cheese left out in the sun. A server brought us menus, water and coffee. And then -- nothing for 15 minutes. I looked around for our server. She came out of the kitchen with her purse over her shoulder and walked out. I guess her shift was done. Eventually another server came and took our order. And then -- we waited for a good 20 or 25 minutes for the meal to be served. The waitress was super nice . We were trying to decide if we wanted a hot chocolate she said the machine was not working . She came back with a cup of hot chocolate with whip cream & said she got the machine to work & we could have this one for free. The hot chocolate had good flavor. We ordered the Belgium waffle with whip cream & strawberries to the side . This waffle was really good but it was tiny . The strawberries were not fresh they were the frozen kind that is syrupy . The whip cream was really fluffy & good . I was hoping the waffle would be bigger . We ordered the corn beef hash with 2 fried eggs . The hash was really good it had potatoes in it . It also came with hash browns to the side . The eggs were suppose to be over medium they came out sunny side up . It was still good but a little under cooked . The potatoes were cooked good & crisp . We also ordered buttermilk pancakes . These were delicious ! The prices are really good . They have Coke products . We would definitely come back here for breakfast. read more

The food was completely unedible. I ordered their Santa Fe omelette, the chicken in it tasted like it was a week old. There was nothing about the omelette that even. Cam close to the description. I thought maybe I could just eat the egg and leave the chicken but it was like they put the eggs and chicken in a blender together. Genuinely an amazing place. The reviews on here kind of baffle me. I have gone so many times (often late at night) and me and my friends love this place. From massive portions at an affordable price to kind servers and fast food service this place has it all. Yes, the decor is outdated, but do I care? No. Does it affect the quality of food and service? No. This place has it all, and if you can get one of the cinnamon rolls, oh my god. That thing is basically an entire cake and they are only charging like 5 bucks for it. My friend tips large and I always tip because this place is worth the price and then some. I always get the garbage hash, they give you so much food for your money and the waffles are pretty good too. I see a lot of people complain about the slow service here, when we went they only had one server and one cook on staff, and the server was hilarious and entertaining even though she was waiting on 15+ tables--I feel like they definitely deserve some slack, this isn't fine dining.
