We LOvE Cubby's, they are very careful with gluten allergies, very friendly staff and excellent food!

This place used to be great. Not sure what happened, but their service and customer service is atrocious now. I ordered two salads in their drive thru. They took my order, I handed them my card to pay. I waited almost 15 minutes for two salads. When they came to the window to bring me my food, they asked me to pay - again. They shrugged and said the payment must not have go through. I paid again. They hand me my bag, and I drive home. They shorted me one salad and instead included cold, soggy badly cooked fries. They did end up charging me twice. When I e-mailed their posted e-mail address, they didn't respond to my request for a refund for at least one of the charges, they didn't respond. I e-mailed again, asking if I should just file a chargeback. No response again. Initiated a chargeback and got my money back for at least one of the orders, but still out the cost of the second salad. This place used to have great food and good service, and that has sadly not the case anymore. Charging a 2.5% fee for a credit card is also insane given the cost of your food. read more

I should have looked on Yelp before trying this spot. It was almost $30 for a salad with chicken and "large" order of fries. That is outrageous! It was a drive thru. I asked the cashier to be sure I had napkins and cutlery since I was staying at a low end hotel and needed it. I was told "oh yes. It is all in there." I did not realize until I was back in my room, undressed to comfy jamming to eat and hit the hay...that they did NOT give those to me. The beet salad was ok. not many beets, a LOT of goat cheese. The chicken that was $5 extra was dry dry like Jerry. The dressing flooded the salad with a SOUR taste. Yuck to that dressing. I had to use a coffee stirring plastic tiny stray to stab into as much as I could and basically use my hands to eat the salad. The rosemary fries? FAIL. I ate them straight away on drive back to hotel but they were not hot at all and dried out tasting. Not much flavor at all. $5 for old French fries. FAIL. I waited 20 minutes in a line for dried out old food with no utensils..all for the low low price of $28. RUN RUN RUN. DO NOT COME HERE. read more

I absolutely love BUT NOT TODAY! No ambiance today since I used the drive-thru to grab a healthy a healthy option on my way back to work. Although service was ok, they forgot my sweet potato fries. Was that it? NO. My sweet potato fries were way over salted and I got the wrong salad. Sure hope the person who got my beet and goat cheese salad like the extra beets. Went again yesterday. Another wonderful experience. That beet & goat cheese salad!!! ...one of the best around! I almost always add steak even though it's a huge splurge for me b/c it just takes it over the top. We ordered the wild rice and kale salad but wife wanted to substitute cauliflower instead of rice. The guy said they were out of cauliflower but offered to run over to the nearby grocery store and get a head of cauliflower. This is great customer service! I don't know if Cubbys recently redid their menu but I felt like every item sounded so tasty. I got the Buffalo chicken salad and it was delicious, I didn't even need the dressing the chickens Buffalo sauce did the job. Everyone working was really friendly and overall the environment was welcoming. The seating is a little cold/harsh, with the decor being like brutalistic farmhouse core that doesn't make for many soft surfaces but it was clean and not too loud, fun to hang out and chat in. read more

I've never eaten here before, but it coworker took me here for lunch. There is a lot of manual selections that are on the wall with pictures so I wasn't sure exactly what to get and I ended up getting a BLT. It was actually very delicious but very small. The menu prices are around anywhere from 12 to $15 on average. And everything is sold à la cart. Everything is fresh. The place is clean and I would recommend this place. However I would probably spend a little bit more money than I spent on the BLT and get something a little bit bigger that will be a little more filling. This is not just a cubby's thing, but this is for all places that ask you for a tip for just simply taking your order and I will tell you it's very frustrating for a consumer to understand. What am I tipping for? Maybe I'm a little old-school but tipping is typically when you receive a exceptional service and you wanna make sure that they feel appreciated but just as simply take my order by pressing on a point of service for a tip is a little bit much. read more

I love Cubby's. We came as one of our last dates before our baby arrived. I previously had been to the Thanksgiving Point location multiple times and the Draper location one time. I do wish it were more affordable; the tab for two runs us over $30 each time. I get that the quality is a little higher and the food is fresher here than at other places, so I can do the price tag a couple times a year. The Houdini burger is my absolute favorite, and I love me some rosemary fries. My husband loves the Whoopie Pies here, too. Not relevant to the food, but I always love the design and layout of Cubby's restaurants. Super cool and modern. For sure worth a visit, just expect to spend a little. read more

Some pretty solid food here at Cubby's--the tri-tip was tender and the BBQ sauce on it was tasty. And wow, the cookie sandwich was way better than I anticipated! Customer service was below average. There were four employees standing and chatting in the back, and even though two of them made eye contact with us, we had to wait 2-3 minutes before one of them finally came over to take our order. I'd come back for the food for sure, but hope that staff members will be a little more attentive next time--probably something that can be fixed with a little manager training. read more

We go to Cubby's just about once a week for the tacos or sometimes a burger. It is always fresh and flavorful. Tonight, we had Carter as our cashier and he was SO nice. Made us feel welcomed and cared for which is rare for a restaurant experience where you order at the register. This location especially is clean and tidy. read more

Just went to cubby's for the final time today. $20 for a sandwich that doesn't come with fries but is accompanied by a 15 minute wait (and counting because I'm still in line) is just unreasonable. I was always okay with the wait because it is quality food but I do not remember a big dog sandwich being over 20 after tax. I mean bare minimum that should include fries. Maybe even a drink at the price but just a lone sandwich is too much I'm sorry cubby's. Like I said this is sadly my last time. Hope things change for the better one day. Updating review from 2 stars to 1 star as I got home. Not a single bit of blue cheese on the bacon blue style. Quite literally half of the reason to pay the additional $2.50 add on for that style. Beyond disappointed. Update #2 from 1 star back to 2. After calling the location I ended up getting a full refund which was very generous. First things first, the tri-tip steak salad is pretty dang good. The steak is usually cooked pretty well, and I also love the accompaniments/toppings. It comes with roasted red peppers, scallions, feta cheese, dried cherries, and toasted almonds. The mixture of the steak with these toppings is brilliant. Moreover, the green dressing that comes with it is delicious. I often crave this salad and feel as though it is a pretty healthy option. I can't be too healthy though because I tend to order rosemary fries on the side! Which by the way are YUM. Why do I give this place 3 stars? Though I really enjoy this salad, I feel like it can be pretty inconsistent. I have purchased it many times and I feel like they are always shorting me on the toppings as well as the steak. Cubby's is EXPENSIVE and I do not feel as though I get my money's worth. For that reason, I think that this place is wayyyyy too overpriced which is another reason why I am only rating it 3 stars. If it were more consistent, and I felt like they were giving me a good serving of steak (because I am paying a ton for this food), then I would rate it higher. read more

I wish there was an option for 0 stars. The girl working the drive thru a few nights ago was WRETCHED. She was chatting with her friend in the car in front of us and she was yelling and dropping F bombs and offering them free food. We waited more than 10 minutes for them to stop and it was extremely inappropriate. She acted like we were this major inconvenience and didn't even give us our full meal so we paid for a horrible experience and the portions were extremely small. The food was delicious and healthy as advertised here. We had the apple pecan chicken salad which was delicious and even love the dressing which was nice and light and tasty. We had the Cockadoodle sandwich which had a homemade avocado spread. The soups were outrageous. The butternut squash and turkey soup was probably one of the best soups we had. The main reason I'm writing this review is because of the service. Everybody was pleasant and the service was quick. I especially want to give a shout out and kudos to the server and cashier Sam. I had mistakenly thrown away my retainers because I wrapped it in a napkin. I called back to ask him not to let anybody else throw trash in the bin so that I could come back and look for my retainers. When I came back, Sam had already found my retainers and rinsed them off in hot water. That is going above and beyond the call of duty. He did it with a smile and so graciously. I came back and gave him a tip which he initially refused to take. What an amazing young man. For over a year this has been my favorite place to get a double burger and sweet potato fries. The patties were HUGE, I could barely get my mouth over the bun (in the best way possible). I could justify the premium cost for a premium burger. Now the last 3-4 times I have been in, it seems they have cut the patty size in half, and overall portions have suffered. Taste is absolutely there. Tough to justify the cost now when I'm still hungry after a double burger. read more

Ordered a dragonslyer, sweet potato fries and a drink. Total was over $18! $10 for the burger alone. I figured it must be the best burger out there for that price! The order was wrong, I ended up with a patty, a bun and some kind of sauce dumped all over it...for $10! They forgot the cheese and the bacon. The fries weren't great. You can definitely find better sweet potato fries at other places. This place is priced 40% higher than any other premium burger place, but the quality and attention to order detail do not justify it. read more

Got a big dog tri-tip and a cockadoodledoo, usual order from Cubby's. I would frequent the Lehi location every other week pre-covid. This Midvale location is not great. It was extremely bland. The steak tasted like it wasn't seasoned at all and the "spicy barbeque" sauce tasted like watered down ketchup. My sandwich was also sloppily thrown together. My SO found a 2 inch chicken bone in her cockadoodledoo which turned us off the meal immediately. When a meal like this costs 33+ dollars for two people its very reasonable to expect higher quality.
