We were charged and they didn't even do the job! On top of that, they told him the tractor was ready for pickup, so he made the trip out there, only to be told once he arrived that it actually wasn't ready. That's a complete waste of time and shows a lack of communication and organization. Mechanics are inexperienced, and management is not properly overseeing the work or the customer experience. I'd be cautious about trusting them with your equipment!

Robert called me back that day and came out and took care of the problem in less than 15 minutes. I invested probably 4 hours reading the manual, You-Tube videos on the subject and fiddling with my tractor... but decided in the end to call a professional. Robert's truck has a hoist, welding rig, generator, 30 gallons of grease and all manner of tools so that he can fix most any problem in the field. He's also got a shop in Penngrove where he can do major repair work. He fixes generators also if you have a generator on your remote site. He fixed my tractor and charged me "whatever you think is reasonable" - which was quite reasonable to me - but worth his time to come and take care of the MF30. (I have some tire work that I'll have him do later.)

So we talked about how old was this machine and we determined that the machine needed service work and a unloader valve. so i had her send me a new unloader valve hoping that would do the trick, That didn't do it. So i called her back a week later and told her to send a tech to fix and to service my machine ,Sean the owner/manager and kelly suggested the pump might need to be rebuilt or a new one installed. I agreed and told them to bring a new pump just in case it was needed. Kelly made a appointment with me a week later in July , But it took them almost three weeks to finally show up and three phone calls later of giving me excuses. So the tech finally showed up on 08/29/24, I told him to change the pump to save time, mine was a 90's pump/machine. So he did the work and changed the pump and found the new unloader valve to be bad and exchanged it which took him the whole day. He told me he was done with the job and i told him what about the service, Kelly had said that was included with the job, He said it was not on the work order and left my business. I immediately called kelly to get the tech back to do the service she told me that was needed. She /Sean made more excuses, told me tough, There tech needed to get back he had a 3 hour back to his shop and she would make me another appointment for me. I told her that was unacceptable ,I am not going to pay for another trip up at $800.00 The whole job cost me $2156.97 and the machine will not work with the heat on , Which the tech never turned on!!!! So what i am saying to HOTSY , You should make North bay Equipment come back to my business and finish the job that they started with no travel charges and fix and service my machine as agreed. It has been years (around 10) since I first came to this place to revive an old lawnmower, still…read moreworking fine BTW. I had a pressure washer that wasn't turning over and after I replaced the spark plug and cleaned the carburetor, it still wasn't turning over. I figured I was out of my depth and some engine work was probably required, likely coil replacement. When I explained everything at LarsEngines, it was indicated that I was in queue and it would likely take a week which was unfortunate because I was hoping to use the pressure washer for a project that weekend. Long story short, it was a quick fix that didn't require shipping of additional parts and because they actively listened to my need for the unit by the weekend, I got it back in time to make that happen. These folks do good work, listen to customer needs, and are honest.

His knowledge and personability are rare traits these days, and it's hard to find folks that will go the extra mile who genuinely care about getting you the right tools. We bought a wood splitter this weekend. We are really grateful that the owner held it for us all week! We have been excited to pick this up and we are stoked to keep supporting a local shop that sells quality equipment. There were two gentlemen working when we made the purchase, Jeremy and some other guy named James who I had never met before. They were a bit busy and we weren't in a rush, so we waited for things to simmer down after Jeremy rang us up so we could get a run-through of the equipment and load it up. Really no big deal to wait - I worked retail for years I know it can be hectic - but Mr. Jimbo didnt seem at all interested in actually helping when he could have sped things along. He literally just acted like we were "in the way" or we were some sort inconvenience. I came back in to ask a question about a pin for the hitch mount (Genuine safety inquiry, so a legit concern.) Dude just stood behind the counter sneering at us and snapped at Jeremy to, "Make it quick...." Um, we just spent nearly 3k on a machine, can you at least act like you work here or give a hoot about the customers? He apparently gave us dirty looks the entire time we were there, my husband pointed this out as we were leaving, so I'm not the only one who took note of his insolence. We were told due to it being the beginning of spring that it wouldn't be done for about 4 weeks. Which was understandable. However, here we sit on July 1st without our machine . My husband has been by on 3 separate occasions and keeps being told 2 weeks and then a week. He has also had to since go and purchase another machine due to the fact that we do landscaping part time and needed this for work. I'm sorry but this is unacceptable.It has been 2 and a half months and it still isn't done. I don't know what the issue is over there but we should be discounted on the price or compensated in some way. When my husband said something to the manager regarding the machine not being done in a timely fashion the manager was like well that's the price we quoted you. If I have a difficult repair that is in a time crunch, I will send it to them and a few times he has called me with the answer before I even get back to my shop.
