His knowledge and personability are rare traits these days, and it's hard to find folks that will go the extra mile who genuinely care about getting you the right tools. We bought a wood splitter this weekend. We are really grateful that the owner held it for us all week! We have been excited to pick this up and we are stoked to keep supporting a local shop that sells quality equipment. There were two gentlemen working when we made the purchase, Jeremy and some other guy named James who I had never met before. They were a bit busy and we weren't in a rush, so we waited for things to simmer down after Jeremy rang us up so we could get a run-through of the equipment and load it up. Really no big deal to wait - I worked retail for years I know it can be hectic - but Mr. Jimbo didnt seem at all interested in actually helping when he could have sped things along. He literally just acted like we were "in the way" or we were some sort inconvenience. I came back in to ask a question about a pin for the hitch mount (Genuine safety inquiry, so a legit concern.) Dude just stood behind the counter sneering at us and snapped at Jeremy to, "Make it quick...." Um, we just spent nearly 3k on a machine, can you at least act like you work here or give a hoot about the customers? He apparently gave us dirty looks the entire time we were there, my husband pointed this out as we were leaving, so I'm not the only one who took note of his insolence. I will remain a loyal customer, but hopefully I can consult with everyone else who works there. Maybe James would be better off working at the DMV...Insufferable people seem to fit in well there.

My husband has been by on 3 separate occasions and keeps being told 2 weeks and then a week. He has also had to since go and purchase another machine due to the fact that we do landscaping part time and needed this for work. I'm sorry but this is unacceptable.It has been 2 and a half months and it still isn't done. I don't know what the issue is over there but we should be discounted on the price or compensated in some way. When my husband said something to the manager regarding the machine not being done in a timely fashion the manager was like well that's the price we quoted you. Yes it was but we were also told it would be 4 weeks not 10+ weeks. We definitely won't be doing business with this store again.

She delayed a simple project from March to September. She made us order our own samples, then left them outside to get soaked so they were unrecognizable. When we asked why Vanessa would do that for an interior fireplace, she said she thought we would like to know what our fireplace inside would look like wet ??? She suggested we look at thumbnail photos. She removed all names & numbers. It was exasperating and a waste of time for us and our contractor, whom we paid to go up. Fabrication: suggested new dimensions for our hearth. The piece still broke. Vanessa suggested our contractor learn how to fix it! WTF? I asked WZ to repair it and deliver our order. Dispatch: the dispatcher collected the balance and argued with me. Eventually, she agreed to an 8 am delivery, stating the driver had "many deliveries." He arrived on time. We were the only order and our hearth was in 10 pieces. They forgot the stacked stone the dispatcher had me pay for a few hours earlier. The driver argued with the dispatcher & Vanessa, both of whom wanted him to dump the crumbled hearth on our driveway. He took it back. He's the hero in the story. We had a new hearth fabricated. They delivered it with the stacked stone--minus the corner pieces. Vanessa said it was our fault for not reminding her!! What? She's the sales manager and we are a first (and last) time customer, and we are responsible to tell her to order what we ordered from her? We gave up! We started in March, finally got 2/3 of order in Sept. Vanessa told us she wasn't going to get the corner stones. Again, WTF? We installed the fabricated hearth and there is a screw shaped divot in the stone. It's too late to do anything but live with it and warn others away. Too bad. Great selection. Total incompetence and crap workmanship and employee attitude -- except the delivery driver. The only competent and caring person was the driver.

I hauled the mower into the local saw service twice this spring. It still wouldn't mow for more than 90 seconds. Another go-to small engine shop in town wouldn't even look at it. After searching and searching online, before I broke down and spent another $5000 on a new mower, I heard about Bill's Lawnmower in Santa Rosa. A Yelp review said that shop was closed, but Bill was now operating a mobile service van called Mower Medic. Bill responded quickly to my call and addressed the problem with great expertise and persistence. I appreciated a mobile provider who could observe what was going wrong when I operated the equipment in my own field. It took a couple of trips to resolve the problem, which gave me the chance to understand Bill's exceptional business and customer service ethics and enjoy his entertaining delivery. He could be teaching classes in business school if he weren't busy repairing engines. Bill ultimately solved the problem completely and charged an extremely reasonable fee for his services. Save yourself time and trouble; call Mower Medic first.

In February 2026, I came in and met with William about building custom standing marquee frames for my business. He drew up plans and told me they could make adjustable frames that would hold my marquee letters and numbers. After several days with no follow-up, I had to repeatedly call and leave messages before someone finally called back and apologized. I returned to the shop and William admitted he had forgotten about the project and had misplaced the original drawings. We went over everything again from scratch, and he even brought in another senior welder to discuss ideas and create a mock-up to make sure the final product would work correctly. I made it extremely clear that these frames were needed for booked events, including the Sonoma County Cheese Festival on March 21st. I was assured multiple times that the project would be completed in time. I was also told the work should only take a few hours plus material prep, so the pricing discussion sounded reasonable at first. At their request, I brought in my marquee numbers so they could properly mock up the frame and ensure everything fit correctly. After dropping them off, communication once again completely disappeared. I called multiple times trying to get updates and eventually stopped expecting responses because of how poorly communication had already gone. Over a month later, long after the deadline had passed and after I had already been forced to look for other solutions for my clients, they finally called me to come see the frame. The frame itself was rusty, had water inside it, and the quoted price ended up being around $1,150 for ONE frame -- far higher than what had originally been discussed. What upset me even more was the condition of my marquee numbers when they returned them. They were dropped off in excellent condition, freshly painted, and barely used. When I got them back, they were filthy, stained, covered in rust residue, and appeared to have been left sitting in water. The wooden bases were compromised and now require repairs and repainting before I can even rent them out again. As a small business owner, this cost me time, money, missed opportunities, and damage to equipment I worked hard to build. To make things worse, after I declined the frame because of the condition and pricing, the interaction became hostile. Instead of handling the situation professionally, I was told to "get the fuck out of my shop," followed by additional insults from management. The lack of communication, missed deadlines, poor care of customer property, and unprofessional behavior made this one of the worst business experiences I've had.

New oil filter was installed, but the oil was like tar (appeared to have never been changed) Fuel filter was clogged. exhaust bolts missing on the exhaust manifold. Both mowers had to be taken to another repair facility to be serviced and repaired. My mom was charged over 6 hrs labor @ $90 per hour.

You need someone to come to you, and that is exactly the terrific service that Jim provides. My older mower has had several issues and never ran well (I bought it used). After several attempts to patch it along, it finally stopped running. I called Jim who came out, loaded it on to his cool rig, and about 2 weeks later it came back running like a charm!! There have been a few follow-on issues over time, and each time Jim has come out to my place and either fixed them on site or taken the mower away and brought it back humming. He is a great guy, and truly an expert in his craft. Highly recommend.

They were here within 20 minutes and we were back on our forklift in no time. They don't push the upsell and when we tried to purchase expensive tires they talked us out of it because they didn't suit our needs. They could have made the sale but that's no who they are.
