It has been years (around 10) since I first came to this place to revive an old lawnmower, still working fine BTW. I had a pressure washer that wasn't turning over and after I replaced the spark plug and cleaned the carburetor, it still wasn't turning over. I figured I was out of my depth and some engine work was probably required, likely coil replacement. When I explained everything at LarsEngines, it was indicated that I was in queue and it would likely take a week which was unfortunate because I was hoping to use the pressure washer for a project that weekend. Long story short, it was a quick fix that didn't require shipping of additional parts and because they actively listened to my need for the unit by the weekend, I got it back in time to make that happen. So excited I am over the top thrilled by the sales folks at this family run retail and service shop. Goods and price were inline with expectations 4 stars. Left riding mower with Emily and her service team. A week later and a couple of phone calls were able to get an a quote for parts and service. We just about had a party! 5 stars! 500 bucks and a second week and our mower was going to be coming home with the "expectations of some years of service left in riding mower" We were thrilled, did I say thrilled! Emily & Sue are top shelf professionals. I took my EU2000i in because it wouldn't start. They called me and gave me an estimate to replace the carburetor with install of $285. I took it home, watched a YouTube video on cleaning the carburetor, did the work myself and it started first pull. It just needed to be cleaned. I called and asked if they had even looked at the carburetor and she said no. The mechanic made the determination to replace the carburetor based on the quality of the fuel in the tank. read more

The repair shop is NOT the issue, it is Honda Corporation: I bought a new EU2800 generator. It lasted about 4 months and started using a lot of oil. I returned it to Freidmans who reluctantly replaced it with a new one. Within 3 months the new one died. I took it to LarsEngines for repair and was told the engine had to be replaced. They also told me that Honda would not honor the 3-year warranty because "I did not change the oil" This was not true. I told them that I did, but they told me Honda will dispute that, in other words Honda will not believe me and there is no way to actually prove that, so I am stuck with a $1,000 pile of junk. No thanks to Honda - never again! Luckily Freidmans did stand behind their part of it and replaced it for the second time. LarsEngines is not the fault - it the phoney 3-year warranty that Honda falsely represented to me at purchase. It is a 3-year warranty if nothing goes wrong. read more

Great place for lawn mower and small engine service. Good for buying new stuff too. I've purchased a chainsaw, weed eater and hedge trimmer (with extended handle) over the past couple years. Pricing is comparable to anywhere else, but you get to talk with someone who actually knows what she's talking about. I say "she," because Sue is great. She gently lectures me on the problems of using lower grade gasolines or leaving gasoline in over the winter. She also likes to remind me of the importance of changing air filters (a lesson I unfortunately learned the hard way). Oh yeah, and this is key, they're very dog-friendly. My out-of-control mutt is always welcome and greeted with treats and water. No waiting in the truck at this stop. Woof! read more

Larsengines is definitely as good as it gets. I couldn't ask for anything more - super friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and everything is reasonably priced. In fact, they sold me a lawnmower at the lowest price I could find at any of the big box stores. They helped me pick out the right model for me (without trying to sell me up to the next level) and then offered to unbox it, test it and tune it so that it was just right. They also fitted a shoulder harness for me (Home Depot doesn't even sell a shoulder harness), fueled it up and showed my the particulars of its operation.
