They did not give my sister's dog the proper medication/treatment and her dog died a few hours after he got discharged.

They wrongly marked the puppy passports due to not paying attention. Then they told one of my customers that they had to start over on their puppy vaccines because "the breeder" did them too early (6 weeks old). This is "funny" because they sure didn't have trouble taking my money for those vaccines for the entire litter. I had previously been in to inquire on a worming schedule for the puppies and they said "some breeders do them early like 4 weeks old but we can just do them at their 6 week checkup".....You mean the one that is too early? Also, when I called to clarify things for MY customer, they got an attitude and started throwing a lot of excuses and false stories to deflect from what they are doing. They went so far as to say I was distracted by my 3 year old and wasn't listening. Really? We are resorting to blaming a 3 year old instead of saying maybe you mispoke. The 3 year old who got blamed for distracting wasn't even in the clinic the day I made my next appointment for puppy boosters. You would think if it was too early they would've said something especially if they care about customer retention. Did more research and called other vets and they said we wouldn't have to redo anything. This vet just seems a little untrustworthy and a LOT unorganized. Add rude to the list also. **Actually it was a vet tech. Becky.

While he has the personality of a small mollusk, he was reasonably priced. Two weeks ago, our 4 year old siamese cat became lethargic, and quit eating. He was promptly brought to Dr. Carter. Almost no questions were asked of us, and no tests were performed before the diagnosis was made. Our cat had a hairball. BRILLIANT! We were instructed to buy expensive hairball treating cat food, and all would be well. After three more days of not eating, the cat was returned to the vet with the same symptoms. Few questions were asked, no bloodwork was done, no x-ray performed, The only "diagnostic" test done was Dr. Carter "felt of him" and the diagnosis remained the same....... still a hairball. (What the fuck is it with Texans that they feel "of" something or taste "of" something?) I asked if Dr. Carter was sure of this diagnosis and I was told "Pretty muchly!" Pretty muchly? Where did he learn how to speak English? I guess he learned to speak English the same place he learned how to "doctor on y'alls critters -n- such." The cat was then taken to a competent vet, who did an x-ray, and found a blockage. It seems our cat ate one of those felt pads that keeps the furniture from scratching the floor. Surgery is being done, and our cat will be fine in a few days. I have a suggestion for the sign in front of his office. David B.Carter D.V.M. Causing y'alls critters a pretty muchly painful life.

If I hadn't trusted my gut and taken my dog to the ER at BluePearl the next day, the option for surgery would've been off the table had I waited longer and trusted the Dr. The misdiagnosis and misguidance from Dr.Garza could've cost my dog his life. Just recently, April 2026, my dog started showing symptoms of an ACTUAL upset stomach, with bloody stool and reluctancy to eat. I decided to schedule a last minute appointment with Alamo, only because the other vet clinic I prefer had no availability for the rest of the week. Why not give Alamo a second chance? I am a forgiving person. Well, I showed up, the nurse came in and did an examination, walked out to speak with the Dr. on duty (the Dr. never came into the room, so I have no idea who the doctor was), and came back just to tell me that they think my dog has an obstruction, but their X-Ray machine has been down for DAYS and can't do anything for my dog. Had they reviewed the notes I provided when I booked the appointment, and understood that there was a possibility that my dog might need an X-Ray, a courtesy call would have been appreciated before I made the trip over there just to be disappointed again. They turned me away and even said they didn't want to waste any more of my time. This clinic sucks.

I didn't have my head straight when we discovered baby girl had passed and chose the first place for cremation on Google, which was a certain animal hospital that when we got there said we would get her back in a month. After a few days my husband and I decided that that was too long and we found eternal waters online, watched the video of the process and liked that it was more environmentally friendly than traditional cremation. And the fact that my baby girl loved swimming in lakes and beaches seemed like this was meant to be. Thank goodness they offer pickup from the other clinic we had her at. That would've been tough for us to do. Lilia was super sweet and understanding even with my weird request of sending me a photo of Lucy to make sure the right dog was picked up. But thank goodness she suggested me sending her a photo of Lucy so she can confirm during the pickup. That made it a lot less painful. She texted me immediately on pick up that it was 100% my baby girl. Told it would take about a week but it ended up being 2 weeks. It was worth it with all of the extra things we got to keep in her memory. I had asked for an impression of her front 2 paws, one of her feet became deformed as she got older, a single paw print, a nose print, and her different colors of fur in a jar which I was really impressed she got all of the colors because I had just groomed my baby before she passed and her fur was short. I will take my future babies and recommend them to people in the future. She was so kind and understanding during one of our hardest losses. Thank you!
