It's been the same dirt lot since the house was built over a decade ago. We finally decided to get it done so our new dog could have a nice place to play, especially during the summers, where we can control the heat levels. JJ and associate came out quickly and made me feel really comfortable. There was no weird upselling (I wanted something really plain) and no fear mongering. I could tell immediately that we were going to go with Rock N Block so I cancelled my other appointment with a different company and put my deposit down right away. Within hours, JJ had the plans to me and I got the HOA paperwork started. Once that was done, I was scheduled immediately to have my yard worked on. The day of, the workers came, did a final measurement and got to work. It took 3 days but it came out exactly like I was promised and had envisioned myself. The workers were extremely friendly and self contained. They were responsible and trustworthy. They were also very concerned with my happiness. They asked me if things were looking good quite a few times. They literally made my yard perfect. I'm still looking for imperfections and cannot find them. If there were any complaints, the communication could be more but to be honest, they give information and don't feel the need to consistently remind you, which is also good. We did have a small hiccup where the workers didn't know they had to install a few other things but JJ made it right immediately and I can only be happy about that. I'd rather have the problem be solved immediately then get a phone call being told it would be done, although I can see how some people would want both. Pricing was fair in my opinion. I was told it should have been less expensive but I don't think so. The job is immaculate and the items are gorgeous with great quality. The craftsmanship means a lot to me and I would pay for it again. I wish I took some before pictures but I completely forgot to. Imagine a literal nothing of a yard. I did my usual project to get mutliple quotes. Only (2) companies I was seriously considering. Perfect Garden Services and another top rated one (Both with Yelp Guaranteed) The other one had more reviews and verified business badge. Sadly the other's quote was at least TWICE as high so it was a no brianer I picked PGS. Very easy to schedule (all done via Yelp messaging) Just note they do not accept Credit Card (seems a lot of businesses don't now and days) So keep that in mind before booking their services. Gave me a time time when they would be there and showed up right on time (within the range) PGS has a crew of 3 total and they worked fast (for the amount of work they needed to do) The job still took them about 4-5 hours and they took care of everything (including any trash) When they're done, a lot of photos were taken (since I wasn't on-site at the time) Very happy with their service and the price was great for what they had to do. When it was windy, the branches would hit the roof and create a horrible noise. A couple of landscapers had left their cards on our door, so I initially called one of them. He said he would be there the very next morning; however, he never showed up. He then called and said he would come the following morning--and again, never showed up. At that point, my husband Tom submitted a quote request on Yelp, and Mizrain was one of the first to respond. He was also the most prompt and thorough when answering our questions. Mizrain provided a very competitive quote and was able to come out the same day to trim our tree. He arrived on time, immediately greeted me with a handshake, and provided his business card before getting right to work. He and his team took their time while working very efficiently. They were extremely careful to ensure that no branches fell on or damaged the house and frequently stepped back to assess the tree as a whole to make sure it looked balanced after trimming. I am extremely impressed with Mizrain and his team's work. They went above and beyond to make the tree look great and full while still removing a significant amount of overgrowth. I was initially worried it would look bare or dead, but it looks amazing. They also thoroughly cleaned the entire area, removing not only large branches but also small twigs. They even blew away dust and picked up trash that had blown into our front yard, which was greatly appreciated and not expected. He then started screaming profanities and threatening us to "watch our backs". I would not recommend him to anyone in the area.
