We had VIP landscaping (i.e., Wes Maggard) do a refresh of our tired (and tiresome) plants, replace a couple of poorly performing trees, and design updated outdoor lighting to replace the system that took a lightning strike last year. Without going into tiresome detail, Wes listened, designed, ran interference with the HOA, and kept all his written and unwritten promises. The last time I had this much work done (by a different company) my yard was a disaster for two weeks. For this evolution, the VIP crew completed everything to my total satisfaction in 2 and a half days. Absolutely worth what I paid. I highly recommend. read more

Bad company, bad accounting department, bad service. I used them for several months and then came to my senses. Over $100 more a month than my neighbors two different services that provided much better services. They come out with plenty of guys with blowers, and all they did for months is blow the leaves. I had to ask them every time to trim bushes, and any other jobs around the yard we had quoted were INSANELY priced. I had to threaten to cancel their service more than once to get any kind of decent work done to my yard. Last time I threatened they cancelled me, which really was a favor and allowed me to come to my senses about the level of service they provided. Accounting department equally poor. They have no online billing system, and send emails for invoices. After 2 years of service, they informed me I was a month behind for several months it seems, news to me. Their accounting department had no ability to match my checks to their invoices, left me to do that. I'm pretty sure I paid one invoice online through their system, but the billing department refused to answer my emails about what confirmation email address a confirmed online payment would come from. I guess allowing employees with attitudes is permitted there. You'll be better off going with other more affordable companies. You may get a polished front man to come bid your property at first, but when he's gone it's the regular workers with no supervision you see on all the other landscape companies at $100 - $150 cheaper a month. read more

Expensive and potentially wasteful if you don't specifically know what you need. I paid $110 to have my yard cleaned and declined the monthly service. For that they came by and cut (not pulled) the weeds. I don't have to tell you that they all grew back in front of me. The last weed was defiant and shoulder faked me threateningly like, "WHAT...!" The next time I dealt with them it was over an estimate for installation of a new timer and possibly a drip line replacement. I was quoted about $800 and told it would be necessary to "rebuild the valve" which, in itself, would be costly. Also, the person rendering the estimate was insistent on installing his own timer. There was a timer I wanted to purchase myself and have him install because it was easy for me to read and understand and cost considerably less. In the end, I paid another landscaper to install the timer. He said the drip lines were fine, re-arranged them for me and let me know the valve rebuild wouldn't be necessary and the whole affair cost me less than $100 not counting the cost of the timer which I bought myself. They also did a better job of cleaning the both yards for a little more than half what VIP was asking. Shop around. read more

I'm happy to report that I have good news regarding my review about VIP Landscaping. The owner Wes contacted me after seeing my review and was genuinely concerned with my issues. We scheduled a time for him to come out and review the yard and my concerns. He was very polite, listened to what I had to say and was intent on fixing the problem. While he was here he even took the time to show me how to prune our trees in the front of the house! The fix was no small feat as he actually had all of the old rock removed and replaced with the rock I wanted in the first place as well as installing a paver boarder around the synthetic grass for free. I was impressed with his willingness to correct my issues so I had him install my paver walkway (which he gave me a very fair price on). In short the yard looks how I envisioned it to be before I had the work done the first time and we are very happy with the results. Wes has truly changed my feelings about VIP Landscaping and I wont hesitate to refer them them from now on. Thank you Wes for being a stand up business owner, the yard looks great now! read more

How to begin. I had a valve go bad during the weekend. I called & spoke with a representative. I told her my problem, she said someone will call me. Three hours later no call!!! I called them again & a different representative apologized for the mistake the first rep made. Which was not notifying me weekend calls are emergencies only. I had to explain my situation again & she said she will have someone call me asap. Within 20min I had Wes call me. He was great at explaining how to temporarily fix my problem while he could get someone out there. I had Robert come out & fix my problem. Since I had to work I communicated over the phone with them & they did a good job! When someone finally did contact me about a quote they gave me a very rough estimate over the phone without even knowing the details of what I wanted. They have always provided prompt, professional and courteous service, and I would highly recommend them if you need either a special project done or weekly service. We've used them for big projects - installing trees, bushes, sprinklers and sod into a side yard dog run- as well as removing and replacing all the old decorative rock around the house- to using them on a weekly basis for lawn and landscaping maintenance. I am the tenant of a Las Vegas property whose owners reside in Montana. The house we are renting was purchased out of a foreclosure, and the landscaping, both front and back yard was destroyed over a summer with no water. I called 8 different landscaping companies before I came across VIP on Google. I had a very difficult time getting people to come out when they said they would to give us a quote. Luckily, VIP Landscaping was right on it. They showed up when they said they would, and ON TIME!!
